The presence of wrinkles in a membrane is the main factor that induces surface errors on space planar film reflect-arrays. Based on the commercial finite element (FE) package ABAQUS, a numerical procedure for membrane wrinkle analysis was set up, and used to analyze a square planar film reflect-array under pure shear force to evaluate its induced wrinkle characteristics. First, the effect of shear force on the wrinkle pattern of the array was studied and validated by experiment. Second, the effect of prestress was studied. When the prestress increases, the quantity of the wrinkles increases, and the amplitude of the wrinkles decreases. Third, the influence of the boundary conditions was investigated. A frame side edge structure has a relatively smooth surface, but also relatively high stress. Finally, the behavior of a joint seam was analyzed. The results indicate that a joint band has a significant influence on the wrinkle pattern of the membrane.

This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of local and concurrent commutation failure(CF)of multi-infeed high-voltage direct current(HVDC)system considering multi-infeed interaction factor(MIIF).The literature indicates that the local CF is not influenced by MIIF,whereas this paper concludes that both the local CF and concurrent CF are influenced by *** ability of remote converter to work under reduced reactive power enables its feature to support local converter via inter-connection *** MIIF measures the strength of electrical connectivity between *** MIIF gives a clearer path to remote converter to support local converter,but at the same time,it provides an easy path to local converter to disturb remote converter under local *** presence of nearby converter increases the local commutation failure immunity index(CFII)while reducing concurrent *** MIIF causes reactive power support to flow from remote converter to local converter,which reduces the chances of CF.A mathematical approximation to calculate the increase in local CFII for multi-infeed HVDC configurations is also proposed.A power flow approach is used to model the relation between MIIF and reactive power support from remote *** local and concurrent CFIIs are found to be inverse to each other over MIIF;therefore,it is recommended that there is an optimal value of MIIF for all converters in close electric proximity to maintain CFII at a certain *** numerical results of established model are compared with PSCAD/EMTDC *** simulation results show the details of the influence of MIIF on local CF and concurrent CF of multi-infeed HVDC,which validates the analysis presented.

The research and development of high-performance pavement materials has been intensified owing to the demand for long-life *** study is performed to develop a novel pavement material using waste rubber powder,waste lubricating by-product(LBP),and ***,the aging properties and aging mechanism of activated waste rubber powder modified asphalt(ARMA)are investigated based on its rheological properties and *** rheological results show that,compared with waste rubber powder modified asphalt(RMA),ARMA offers a higher aging resistance and a longer fatigue life.A comparison and analysis of the rheological aging parameters of ARMA and RMA show that LBP activation diminishes the aging sensitivity of *** microcharacterization result shows that the aging of ARMA may be caused by the fact that LBP-activated waste rubber powder is more reactive and can form a dense colloidal structure with ***,the evaporation loss of asphalt light components by heat and the damage to the colloidal structure by oxygen during the aging process are impeded,and the thermal-oxidative aging resistance of ARMA is improved.

Combination Rule Based on Proportional Redistribution of Generalized Conflict for Evidence Theory

Dempster’s rule is a powerful tool for combining multiple distinct pieces of evidence in evidence theory. When conflict between pieces of evidence is high,the combination result of Dempster’s rule is counterintuitive. Many alternative combination rules have been proposed. Most of these alternative combination rules are based on the redistribution of Shafer’s conflicting mass. The quantitative definition of generalized conflict is given. Based on Proportional generalized conflict redistribution(PGCR), a new class of evidence combination rules is proposed and the links with some existed rules are established. A special instance of the PGCR rules referred to as PGCR-A is proposed by using the subsets’ average support degrees as the proportional coefficients. PGCR-A rule can deal with the combination of high conflict evidence. During the process of combination, PGCR-A rule can also automatically determine the weights of the basic belief mass converging to the more specific subsets according to the focal elements’ cardinalities. Since PGCR-A rule is not associative, a modified version is proposed to make it quasi-associative.

During early pregnancy, an orchestrated evolutionary maternal adaption toward tolerance of the semiallogeneic fetus is required to ensure decidualization and early embryo development. Remodeling of the immune system involves natural killer cells （NKs）, macrophages, T cells and dendritic cells （DCs） altering the microenvironment in the deciduas. In particular, a unique population of NK cells with a CD56brightCD16 phenotype in the decidua has been proposed to play a key role in the maternal adaptation to pregnancy. However, there is a tendency for pregnancy immunology to reflect transplantation immunology regarding the assumption that the matemal immune system should be suppressed. This tendency is misleading. We discuss how the immune system is formed in early deciduas and the interactions between maternal NK cells and fetal growth. We propose that the maternal immune response must not be fully suppressed and is even necessary for the local response of uterine NK cells.

A generalized plasticity model for the stress-strain and creep behavior of rockfill materials

The generalized plasticity constitutive equations that simulate, in a unified manner, the stress-strain response and the creep behavior of rockfill materials are derived using the concept of elastoplasticity. A single yield surface is assumed to capture the onset of plastic strains with, however, two separate potential functions for the stress-induced plastic strains and the creep strains,respectively. The involved tensors and scalars are then specified directly, following the generalized plasticity method, to substantiate the constitutive equations. The model thus obtained is verified using triaxial compression experiments, true triaxial experiments and triaxial creep experiments. The effectiveness of the model is also demonstrated by a successful application in studying the behavior of a high concrete face rockfill dam(CFRD). It is found that for a high CFRD with a long construction period, neglecting the creep of rockfill materials during construction results in an underestimation of the deformation of the *** deformation and stress of the concrete slabs may also be considerably underestimated.
