Experimental verification of generalized eigenstate thermalization hypothesis in an integrable system

Identifying the general mechanics behind the equilibration of a complex isolated quantum system towards a state described by only a few parameters has been the focus of attention in non-equilibrium *** several experimentally unproven conjectures are proposed for the statistical description of quantum(non-)integrable *** plausible eigenstate thermalization hypothesis(ETH),which suggests that each energy eigenstate itself is thermal,plays a crucial role in understanding the quantum thermalization in non-integrable systems;it is commonly believed that it does not exist in integrable ***,integrable systems can still relax to the generalized Gibbs *** a microscopic perspective,understanding the origin of this generalized thermalization that occurs in an isolated integrable system is a fundamental open question lacking experimental ***,we experimentally investigated the spin subsystem relaxation in an isolated spin-orbit coupling quantum *** applying the quantum state engineering technique,we initialized the system with various distribution widths in the mutual eigenbasis of the conserved ***,we compared the steady state of the spin subsystem reached in a long-time coherent dynamics to the prediction of a generalized version of ETH and the underlying mechanism of the generalized thermalization is experimentally verified for the first *** results facilitate understanding the origin of quantum statistical mechanics.

Application of EDTMPS as a novel calcite depressant in scheelite flotation

In this study, the innovative use of ethylenediamine tetramethylene phosphonic sodium(EDTMPS) as a calcite depressant in scheelite flotation was investigated by flotation experiments, and its selective depression mechanism was revealed by contact angle measurement, FTIR analysis, Zeta potential test and XPS analysis. The flotation experiment results showed that scheelite and calcite could be efficiently separated under the following conditions: pulp p H=9.5, Na OL concentration of 1.5×10^(-4)mol/L, EDTMPS concentration of 3.0×10^(-5)mol/L, a scheelite concentrate with WO3grade of 65.49%, recovery of 83.29%and separation efficiency of 65.29% could be obtained from the artificially mixed minerals. The analysis results of mineral surface properties demonstrated that EDTMPS was strongly adsorbed onto the calcite surface through the reaction between the phosphonate group and the calcium ions, which hindered Na OL adsorption and increased the hydrophilicity of calcite. However, EDTMPS had weak adsorption strength on the scheelite surface, which didn’t affect further adsorption of Na OL, hence, the scheelite remained hydrophobic. Consequently, the selective adsorption of EDTMPS on the two minerals’ surfaces increased a difference in wettability and thus enabling them to be separated by flotation. Finally, the mechanism model of this flotation separation process was established.

An enhanced CDA-like(eCDAL)was established from Japanese lamprey CDA1-like 4 to achieve a high editing frequency in a broad region as a C-terminal cytosine base editors(CT-CBE).Then,a novel plant dual-base editor version1(pDuBE1)was developed by integrating TadA-8e into *** editing efficiency of pDuBE1 could reach to 87.6%,with frequencies of concurrent A-to-G and C-to-T conversions as high as 49.7%in stably transformed plant *** results showed that pDuBE1 could mediate robust dual editing in plant genome,providing a powerful manipulation tool for precise crop breeding and screening platforms for in planta direct evolution.

Boosting Interfacial Polarization Through Heterointerface Engineering in MXene/Graphene Intercalated-Based Microspheres for Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

Genome editing mediated by SpCas9 variants with broad non-canonical PAM compatibility in plants

Streptococcus pyogenes Cas9(SpCas9)is the most widely used genome editing tool in *** editing induced by SpCas9 strictly requires a canonical NGG protospacer-adjacent motif(PAM),significantly limiting its scope of ***,five SpCas9 variants,SpCas9-NRRH,SpCas9-NRCH,SpCas9-NRTH,SpG,and SPRY,were developed to recognize non-canonical PAMs in human *** this study,these variants were engineered for plant genome editing,and their targeted mutagenesis capabilities were comprehensively examined at various canonical and non-canonical PAM sites in rice(Oryza sativa)by stable ***,both cytosine base editors using a rat APOBEC1 or a human APO-BEC3a and adenine base editors using a directly evolved highly compatible TadA*-8e deaminase were developed from these SpCas9 *** results demonstrated that the developed SpCas9 variantsbased base editors readily generated conversions between C.G and T.A in the target sites with noncanonical PAMs in transgenic rice ***,the toolbox developed in this study substantially expands the scope of SpCas9-mediated genome editing and will greatly facilitate gene disruption and precise editing in plants.

Particularly, several materials with large magnetoresistance effect have received significant *** this study, we provide an analysis of the progress of organic magnetic materials and organic magnetoelectric complexes, thus paving the way for the understanding of organic magnetism and magnetoelectric coupling mechanisms. In addition, this analysis provides us a critical guide for future organic magnetic material design and fabrication.

Synthesis of b-type Strontium Hydrogen Phosphate Nanosheets and Its Immobilization of Pb^(2+) in Acidic Aqueous Solution

Highly crystalline β-type strontium hydrogen phosphate （β-SrHPO4） nanosheets were prepared by a hydro- thermal method and used for the immobilization of lead ions （Pb2＋） from acidic aqueous solution. The effects of various parameters on the immobilization process, including solution pH value, contact time, initial ion concentrations, and coexistent competing cations, were studied to optimize the conditions for maximum immobilization. The β-SrHPO4 nanosheets exhibited a capacity of （1,120 ± 22） mg/g toward Pb2＋ in acidic solution （pH value is 3.0）, and the equilibrium was achieved within 8 rain. The competing cations such as Cu2＋, Zn2＋, Cd2＋, and Co2＋ affected slightly on the selective immobilization of Pb2＋. The results revealed that the removal mechanism of Pb2＋ by the β-SrHPO4 nanosheets was the dissolution/precipitation process in the acidic solution.

Effect of sulfate-reducing bacteria on the corrosion behaviors of API-X80 pipeline steel has been studied in crevices under simulated disbonded coatings in red soil *** results show that there are amounts of SRB in the crevice under the simulated disbonded coating in the red soil solution during the whole period of *** electrochemical impedance spectroscopy shows that SRB can enhance the corrosion of the steel in the crevice under the simulated disbonded coating,and the thermodynamic analyses indicate that SRB can accelerate the corrosion of steel using not only sulfate but also ferric hydroxide as electron acceptors.

Effects of operating parameters on the flow field in slab continuous casting molds with narrow widths

Computational simulations and high-temperature measurements of velocities near the surface of a mold were carried out by using the rod deflection method to study the effects of various operating parameters on the flow field in slab continuous casting(CC)molds with narrow widths for the production of automobile exposed *** agreement between the calculated results and measured subsurface velocities of liquid steel was obtained under different operating parameters of the CC *** simulation results reveal that the flow field in the horizontal plane located 50 mm from the meniscus can be used as the characteristic flow field to optimize the flow field of molten steel in the *** in casting speed can increase the subsurface velocity of molten steel and shift the position of the vortex core downward in the downward circulation *** flow field of liquid steel in a 1040 mm-wide slab CC mold can be improved by an Ar gas flow rate of 7 L·min^−1 and casting speed of 1.7 m·min^−*** the present experimental conditions,the double-roll flow pattern is generally stable at a submerged entry nozzle immersion depth of 170 mm.

The sixth generation(6G)mobile networks will reshape the world by offering instant,efficient,and intelligent hyper-connectivity,as envisioned by the previously proposed Ubiquitous-X 6G *** hyper-massive and global connectivity will introduce tremendous challenges into the operation and management of 6G networks,calling for revolutionary theories and technological *** this end,we propose a new route to boost network capabilities toward a wisdom-evolutionary and primitive-concise network(WePCN)vision for the Ubiquitous-X 6G *** particular,we aim to concretize the evolution path toward the WePCN by first conceiving a new semantic representation framework,namely semantic base,and then establishing an intelligent and efficient semantic communication(IE-SC)network *** the IE-SC architecture,a semantic intelligence plane is employed to interconnect the semantic-empowered physical-bearing layer,network protocol layer,and application-intent layer via semantic information *** proposed architecture integrates artificial intelligence and network technologies to enable intelligent interactions among various communication objects in *** features a lower bandwidth requirement,less redundancy,and more accurate intent *** also present a brief review of recent advances in semantic communications and highlight potential use cases,complemented by a range of open challenges for 6G.
