MXene-contained paper is a good choice to design ultrathin and flexible electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials.However,the deficiencies in strength and stability of MXene-contained paper impede its practical applications.Herein,a composite paper was proposed to address the problems,in which a filter paper was modified with a three-layer structured surface via a facile layer-by-layer coating procedure.Specifically,the TEMPO-oxidized cellulose nanofibers(TOCN)/cationic starch(CS)/MXene gel layer and TOCN/MXene nacre structure layer ensured the good EMI shielding and mechanical performances of the composite paper,while the uppermost TOCN/CS hydrogel film layer mainly protected MXene.The composite paper achieved an EMI SE of 40.3 dB at a thickness of merely 0.1894 mm(SE/t value of ca.212.8 dB mm^(−1),SSE/t values of ca.13216 dB cm 2 g^(−1))and the total MXene dosage was 20 g m^(−2).Its tensile strength could be up to 11.7 MPa while the original filter paper was 6.4 MPa.Four pieces of this composite papers could be easily packed together to attain an EMI SE of nearly 70 dB.Importantly,the hydrogel film layer efficiently protected the MXene and maintained the EMI shielding performance of the composite paper when immersed in different liquids including water,HCl(1 M)and ethanol,due to the dense and compact structure of hydrogel film layer.This work provides a practical way to develop ultrathin,flexible and durable EMI shielding materials.

The applicability of the life cycle assessment(LCA)to the Fenton process should be considered not only at the laboratory-scale but also at the full-scale.In this study,the LCA process was applied to evaluate the homo-geneous Fenton process for the treatment of high salinity pharmaceutical wastewater.The potential environmental impacts were calculated using Simapro software implemen-ting the CML 2001 methodology with normalization factors of 1995 world.Foreground data obtained directly from the full-scale wastewater treatment plant and labora-tory were used to conduct a life cycle inventory analysis,ensuring highly accurate results.By normalized results,the Fenton process reveals sensitive indicators,primarily toxi-city indicators(human toxicity,freshwater aquatic toxicity,and marine aquatic toxicity),as well as acidification and eutrophication impacts,contributed by hydrogen peroxide and iron sludge incineration,respectively.Overall,hydrogen peroxide and iron sludge incineration contribute significantly,accounting for at least 78%of these indicators.In sludge treatment phase,treatment of iron mud and infrastructure of hazardous waste incineration plants were the key contributors of environmental impacts,adding up to more than 95%.This study suggests the need to develop efficient oxidation processes and effective iron sludge treatment methods to reduce resource utilization and improve environmental benefits.

Natural gas hydrate(NGH)can cause pipeline blockages during the transportation of oil and gas under high pressures and low temperatures.Reducing hydrate adhesion on pipelines is viewed as an efficient way to prevent NGH blockages.Previous studies suggested the water film can greatly increase hydrate adhesion in gas-dominant system.Herein,by performing the molecular dynamics simulations,we find in water-dominant system,the water film plays different roles in hydrate deposition on Fe and its corrosion surfaces.Specifically,due to the strong affinity of water on Fe surface,the deposited hydrate cannot convert the adsorbed water into hydrate,thus,a water film exists.As water affinities decrease(Fe>Fe_(2)O_(3)>FeO>Fe_(3)O_(4)),adsorbed water would convert to amorphous hydrate on Fe_(2)O_(3)and form the ordered hydrate on FeO and Fe_(3)O_(4)after hydrate deposition.While absorbed water film converts to amorphous or to hydrate,the adhesion strength of hydrate continuously increases(Fe

The two-spotted spider mite,Tetranychus urticae Koch,is one of the most harmful pests in many agroecosystems worldwide.To effectively manage this pest,there is an urgent need to develop novel bio-active acaricides that support integrated pest management strategies targeting T.urticae.In this study,we explored the acaricidal effects of xenocoumacin 1 (Xcn1) on T.urticae and its predator Neoseiulus californicus using the highly puri?ed ***1 was extracted and purified from the cell-free supernatant of the Xenorhabdus nematophila CB6 mutant constructed by the easy promoter activated compound identi?cation (easyPACId) method.When the concentration of Xcn1 exceeded 100μg mL~(–1),the survival rate of spider mite adults declined to below 40%and the fecundity was decreased by 80%at six days post-application.At concentrations of 25 and 50μg mL~(–1),Xcn1 signi?cantly impeded spider mite development by inhibiting the molt.However,neither concentration had any adverse effects on the survival or reproduction of the predatory mite N.californicus.The results from laboratory and semi-?eld experiments consistently demonstrated the effectiveness of the antimicrobial metabolite Xcn1 in controlling pest mites at both the molecular and physiological levels.Our study offers a promising possibility that combines the compatible biocontrol agents of Xcn1 and predatory mites for integrated pest mite control.

In this study,zircon U-Pb dating of volcanic rocks from the Zhongba ophiolite of the Yarlung Zangbo Suture Zone(YZSZ)in southern Xizang(Tibet)yielded an age of 247±3 Ma.According to whole rock geochemical and Sr-NdPb isotopic data,the Early Triassic samples could be divided into two groups:Group 1 with P-MORB affinity,showing initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios of 0.70253–0.70602,ε_(Nd)(t)values of 4.2–5.3,(^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 16.353–18.222,(^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 15.454–15.564,and(^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 35.665–38.136;Group 2 with OIB affinity,showing initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios of 0.70249–0.70513,ε_(Nd)(t)values of 4.4–4.9,(^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 17.140–18.328,(^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 15.491–15.575,and(^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 36.051–38.247.Group 2 rocks formed by partial melting of the mantle source enriched by a former plume,and assimilated continental crustal material during melt ascension.The formation of Group 1 rocks corresponds to the mixing of OIB melts,with the same components as Group 2 and N-MORBs.The Zhongba Early Triassic rocks belong to the continental margin type ophiolite and formed in the continental–oceanic transition zone during the initial opening of the Neo-Tethys in southern Xizang(Tibet).

BACKGROUND Neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC)of the extrahepatic bile duct is very rare,and the treatment and prognosis are unclear.Herein,we report the case of a middleaged female with primary large cell NEC(LCNEC)of the common hepatic duct combined with distal cholangiocarcinoma(dCCA).Additionally,after a review of the relevant literature,we summarize and compare mixed neuroendocrine-nonneuroendocrine neoplasm(MiNEN)and pure NEC to provide a reference for selecting the appropriate treatment and predicting the prognosis of this rare disease.CASE SUMMARY A 62-year-old female presented to the hospital due to recurrent abdominal pain for 2 months.Physical examination showed mild tenderness in the upper abdomen and a positive Courvoisier sign.Blood tests showed elevated liver transaminase and carbohydrate antigen 199 levels.Imaging examination revealed node dissection was performed,and hepatic duct tumours were unexpectedly found during surgery.Pathology suggested poorly differentiated LCNEC(approximately 0.5 cm×0.5 cm×0.4 cm),Ki-67(50%),synaptophysin+,and chromogranin A+.dCCA pathology suggested moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma.The patient eventually developed lymph node metastasis in the liver,bone,peritoneum,and abdominal cavity and died 24 months after surgery.Gene sequencing methods were used to compare gene mutations in the two primary bile duct tumours.CONCLUSION The prognosis of MiNEN and pure NEC alone is different,and the selection of treatment options needs to be differentiated.

The development of a high-performance ferroelectric piezo-photocatalyst is an efficient strategy for advancing sustainability within the environmental and energy sectors.Yet,a major challenge lies in the creation of a strong polarized electric field that can effectively hinder charge recombination,both within the bulk and on the surface of catalysts.Herein,we synthesize a series of Nb-doped Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)nanosheets via a facile one-pot hydrothermal method to achieve synergistically enhanced piezo-photocatalytic performance in CO_(2)reduction and pollutant degradation.The optimized doped Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)demonstrates remarkable efficiency in the conversion of CO_(2)into CO,with a high production rate of 72.7μmol∙g−1∙h−1 without using co-catalysts or any sacrificial agent,surpassing the performance of unmodified Bi_(4)Ti_(3)O_(12)by up to 4.69 folds.Additionally,our catalyst demonstrates ultra-fast piezo-photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutant Rhodamine B(RhB)at low concentrations and exceptional piezo-photocatalytic activity at high concentrations,outperforming most previously reported state-of-the-art catalysts.The systematic corroboration of catalyst characterization and experimental analysis reveals that the synergistic effect arises from the amplified macroscopic polarization induced by lattice distortion caused by the larger Nb ions,thereby improving piezo-photocatalytic efficiency.This research thus offers valuable insights into the direct design and fabrication of versatile catalytic systems,with applications spanning CO_(2)valorization and beyond.

BACKGROUND According to clinical data,a significant percentage of patients experience pain after surgery,highlighting the importance of alleviating postoperative pain.The current approach involves intravenous self-control analgesia,often utilizing opioid analgesics such as morphine,sufentanil,and fentanyl.Surgery for colo-rectal cancer typically involves general anesthesia.Therefore,optimizing anes-thetic management and postoperative analgesic programs can effectively reduce perioperative stress and enhance postoperative recovery.The study aims to analyze the impact of different anesthesia modalities with multimodal analgesia on patients'postoperative pain.AIM To explore the effects of different anesthesia methods coupled with multi-mode analgesia on postoperative pain in patients with colorectal cancer.METHODS Following the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,a total of 126 patients with colorectal cancer admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were included,of which 63 received general anesthesia coupled with multi-mode labor pain and were set as the control group,and 63 received general anesthesia associated with epidural anesthesia coupled with multi-mode labor pain and were set as the research group.After data collection,the effects of postoperative analgesia,sedation,and recovery were compared.RESULTS Compared to the control group,the research group had shorter recovery times for orientation,extubation,eye-opening,and spontaneous respiration(P<0.05).The research group also showed lower Visual analog scale scores at 24 h and 48 h,higher Ramany scores at 6 h and 12 h,and improved cognitive function at 24 h,48 h,and 72 h(P<0.05).Additionally,interleukin-6 and interleukin-10 levels were significantly reduced at various time points in the research group compared to the control group(P<0.05).Levels of CD3+,CD4+,and CD4+/CD8+were also lower in the research group at multiple time points(P<0.05).CONCLUSION For patients with colorectal cancer,general anesthesia coupled with epidural anesthes

BACKGROUND Gastric cancer(GC)has a high mortality rate worldwide.Despite significant progress in GC diagnosis and treatment,the prognosis for affected patients still remains unfavorable.AIM To identify important candidate genes related to the development of GC and iden-tify potential pathogenic mechanisms through comprehensive bioinformatics analysis.METHODS The Gene Expression Omnibus database was used to obtain the GSE183136 dataset,which includes a total of 135 GC samples.The limma package in R software was employed to identify differentially expressed genes(DEGs).Thereafter,enrichment analyses of Gene Ontology(GO)terms and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways were performed for the gene modules using the clusterProfile package in R software.The protein-protein interaction(PPI)networks of target genes were constructed using STRING and visualized by Cytoscape software.The common hub genes that emerged in the cohort of DEGs that was retrieved from the GEPIA database were then screened using a Venn Diagram.The expression levels of these overlapping genes in stomach adenocarcinoma samples and non-tumor samples and their association with prognosis in GC patients were also obtained from the GEPIA database and Kaplan-Meier curves.Moreover,real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR)and western blotting were performed to determine the mRNA and protein levels of glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(GPT)in GC and normal immortalized cell lines.In addition,cell viability,cell cycle distribution,migration and invasion were evaluated by cell counting kit-8,flow cytometry and transwell assays.Furthermore,we also conducted a retrospective analysis on 70 GC patients diagnosed and surgically treated in Wenzhou Central Hospital,Dingli Clinical College of Wenzhou Medical University,The Second Affiliated Hospital of Shanghai University between January 2017 to December 2020.The tumor and adjacent normal samples were collected from the patients to determine the potential association between the expression lev
