The electrochemical CO_(2. reduction reaction(CO_(2.rr)has received widespread attention as a promising method for producing sustainable chemicals and mitigating the global ***,we demonstrate a general and facile synthetic route for the metal-nitrogen-carbon(M-N-C)type catalyst by simply calcinating metal acetate and urea with commercial carbon black,which have potential application in CO_(2.*** synthesized Ni-NC-600 catalyst has the structure of single Ni atom coordinated with one N atom and three C atoms(Ni-N_(1.C_(3)),which is suggested by X-ray absorption *** Ni-NC-600 catalyst exhibits high CO_(2.rr catalytic performance and a high CO Faraday efficiency above 98%in a wide potential range from-0.7 to-1.3 V(*** hydrogen electrode(rHE)),superior to most of the reported Ni-N-C *** work has developed a facile strategy to synthesize high performance CO_(2.rr catalyst.

34 samples of ru Guan porcelain body and 50 samples of Jun Guan porcelain body (both kinds being in different body colors) were selected with the purpose of finding out the source of raw materials and their classification relationship so as to search for ways of non-destructive discrimination. proton induced X-ray emission (pIXE) has been applied to these samples to determine their chemical elements. The data of seven major chemical elements collected from these samples were further studied through fuzzy cluster analysis. results indicate that the origin of raw materials of Jun Guan porcelain body samples is comparatively more concentrated in certain places, while that of ru Guan porcelain body samples is scattered about. The places of origin of raw materials of the majority of ru Guan and Jun Guan porcelain body samples have something in common, but some differences still exist. It might be an important way for non-destructive discrimination among ru Guan and Jun Guan porcelains by combining pIXE with fuzzy cluster analysis.

Wastewater treatment plants(WWTps)are important and energy-intensive municipal *** energy consumption and relatively low operating performance are major challenges from the perspective of carbon ***,water-energy nexus analysis and models for WWTps have rarely been reported to *** this study,a cloud-model-based energy consumption analysis(CMECA)of a WWTp was conducted to explore the relationship between influent and energy consumption by clustering its influent’s *** principal component analysis(pCA)and K-means clustering were applied to classify the influent condition using water quality and volume *** energy consumption of the WWTp is divided into five standard evaluation levels,and its cloud digital characteristics(CDCs)were extracted according to bilateral constraints and golden ratio *** results showed that the energy consumption distribution gradually dispersed and deviated from the Gaussian distribution with decreased water concentration and *** days with high energy efficiency were extracted via the clustering method from the influent category of excessive energy consumption,represented by a compact-type energy consumption distribution curve to identify the influent conditions that affect the steady distribution of energy *** local WWTp has high energy consumption with 0.361. kW·h·m^(-3)despite low influent concentration and volumes,across four consumption levels from low(I)to relatively high(IV),showing an unsatisfactory operation and management *** average oxygenation capacity,internal reflux ratio,and external reflux ratio during high energy efficiency days recognized by further clustering were obtained(0.2.2.-0.3703 kg O_(2.·m^(-3),1.9576-2.4787,and 0.6603-0.8361.respectively),which could be used as a guide for the days with low energy ***,this study offers a water-energy nexus analysis method to identify influent conditions with operational manageme

Internal photoemission is a prominent branch of the photoelectric effect and has emerged as a viable method for detecting photons with energies below the semiconductor *** breakthrough has played a significant role in accelerating the development of infrared imaging in one chip with state-of-the-art silicon ***,the performance of these Schottky infrared detectors is currently hindered by the limit of internal photoemission;specifically,a low Schottky barrier height is inevitable for the detection of low-energy infrared ***,a distinct paradigm of Schottky infrared detectors is proposed to overcome the internal photoemission limit by introducing an optically tunable *** device uses an infrared absorbing material-sensitized Schottky diode,assisted by the highly adjustable Fermi level of graphene,which subtly decouples the photon energy from the Schottky barrier ***,a broadband photoresponse spanning from ultraviolet to mid-wave infrared is achieved,with a high specific detectivity of 9.83×1.1. cm Hz1.2.W−1.at 2.700 nm and an excellent specific detectivity of 7.2.1.9 cm Hz1.2.W−1.at room temperature under blackbody *** results address a key challenge in internal photoemission and hold great promise for the development of the Schottky infrared detector with high sensitivity and room temperature operation.

The object-oriented information extraction technique was used to improve classification accuracy,and addressed the problem that HJ-1.CCD remote sensing images have only four spectral bands with moderate spatial *** used two key techniques:the selection of optimum image segmentation scale and the development of an appropriate object-oriented information extraction *** the principle of minimizing merge cost of merging neighboring pixels/objects,we used spatial autocorrelation index Moran's I and the variance index to select the optimum segmentation *** Nearest Neighborhood(NN) classifier based on sampling and a knowledge-based fuzzy classifier were used in the object-oriented information extraction *** this classification step,feature optimization was used to improve information extraction accuracy using reduced data *** two techniques were applied to land cover information extraction for Shanghai city using a HJ-1.CCD *** indicate that the information extraction accuracy of the object-oriented method was much higher than that of the pixel-based method.

Seawater electrolysis,especially in coastlines,is widely considered as a sustainable way of making clean and high-purity H2.from renewable energy;however,the practical viability is challenged severely by the limited anode durability resulting from side reactions of chlorine ***,we report an effective Cl^(−) blocking barrier of NiFe-layer double hydroxide(NiFe-LDH)to harmful chlorine chemistry during alkaline seawater oxidation(ASO),a pre-formed surface-derived NiFe-phosphate(pi)***,the pO_(4)^(3−)-enriched outer-layer is capable of physically and electrostatically inhibiting Cl−adsorption,which protects active Ni^(3+)sites during *** NiFe-LDH with the NiFe-pi outer-layer(NiFe-LDH@NiFe-pi)exhibits higher current densities(j)and lower overpotentials to afford 1.A·cm^(−2.(η1.00 of 370 mV versusη1.00 of 42. mV)than the NiFe-LDH in 1.M KOH+***,the NiFe-LDH@NiFe-pi also demonstrates longer-term electrochemical durability than NiFe-LDH,attaining 1.0-h duration at the j of 1.A·cm^(−2..Additionally,the importance of surface-derived pO_(4)^(3−)-enriched outer-layer in protecting the active centers,γ-NiOOH,is explained by ex situ characterizations and in situ electrochemical spectroscopic studies.

Experiments of saturated water flow and heat transfer were conducted for a meter-scale model of regularly fractured granite. The fractured rock model （height 1.02.5 ram, width 904 mm, and thickness 300 mm）, embedded with two vertical and two horizontal fractures of pre-set apertures, was constructed using 1. pieces of intact granite. The granite was taken from a site currently being investigated for a high-level nuclear waste repository in {2.. The experiments involved different heat source temperatures and vertical water fluxes in the embedded fractures either open or filled with sand. A finite difference scheme and computer code for calculation of water flow and heat transfer in regularly fractured rocks was developed, verified against both the experimental data and calculations from the TOUGH2.code, and employed for parametric sensitivity analyses. The experiments revealed that, among other things, the temperature distribution was influenced by water flow in the fractures, especially the water flow in the vertical fracture adjacent to the heat source, and that the heat conduction between the neighboring rock blocks in the model with sand-filled fractures was enhanced by the sand, with larger range of influence of the heat source and longer time for approaching asymptotic steady-state than those of the model with open fractures. The temperatures from the experiments were in general slightly smaller than those from the numerical calculations, probably due to the fact that a certain amount of outward heat transfer at the model perimeter was unavoidable in the experiments. The parametric sensitivity analyses indicated that the tem- perature distribution was highly sensitive to water flow in the fractures, and the water temperature in the vertical fracture adjacent to the heat source was rather insensitive to water flow in other fractures.
