This paper discusses scattered data interpolation using cubic trigonometric Bézier triangular patches with C1 continuity *** derive the C1 condition on each adjacent *** each triangular patch,we employ convex combination method between three local *** final interpolant with the rational corrected scheme is suitable for regular and irregular scattered data *** tested the proposed scheme with 36,65,and 100 data points for some well-known test *** scheme is also applied to interpolate the data for the electric *** compared the performance between our proposed method and existing scattered data interpolation schemes such as Powell–Sabin(PS)and Clough–Tocher(CT)by measuring the maximum error,root mean square error(RMSE)and coefficient of determination(R^(2)).From the results obtained,our proposed method is competent with cubic Bézier,cubic Ball,PS and CT triangles splitting schemes to interpolate scattered data *** is very significant since PS and CT requires that each triangle be splitting into several micro triangles.

Anomalously enhanced thermal stability of phosphorene via metal adatom doping: An experimental and first-principles study

Atomically thin black phosphorus, also known as phosphorene, is an emerging two-dimensional (2D) material, which has attracted increasing attention due to its unique electronic and optoelectronic properties. However, the reduced thermal stability of phosphorene limits its suitability for high-temperature fabrication processes, which could be detrimental for the performance of phosphorenebased devices. Here, we investigate the impact of doping by Al and Hf transition metal adatoms on the thermal stability of phosphorene. The formation of Al–P covalent bonds was found to significantly improve the thermal coefficients of the Ag1, B2g, and Ag2phonon modes to 0.00044, 0.00081, and 0.00012 cm–1·°C–1, respectively, which are two orders of magnitude lower than those observed for pristine P–P bonds (~0.01 cm–1·°C–1). First-principles calculations within the density functional theory framework reveal that the observed thermal stability enhancement in the Al-doped material reflects a significantly higher Al binding energy, due to the stronger Al–P bonds compared to the weak van der Waals interactions between adjacent P atoms in the undoped material. The present work thus paves the way towards phosphorene materials with improved structural stability, which could be promising candidates for potential nanoelectronic and optoelectronic applications. Background: Nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) is a commonly diagnosed cancer in Southeast Asia. Many studies have examined the risk factors for NPC, yet the roles of some risk factors remain inconclusive. The purpose of this study was to examine associations between modifiable lifestyle factors and the risk of NPC in the Singaporean ***: We conducted a case–control study in Singapore with 300 patients and 310 controls who were recruited between 2008 and 2012. Each control was selected and individually matched to each patient based on sex, ethnicity, and age(±5 years). A total of 290 pairs of cases and controls were matched successfully. We examined lifestyle factors such as tobacco smoking, alcohol drinking, various salted and preserved food consumption, and weaning ***: After adjusting for covariates, multivariate analysis showed that those participants who were current smokers and had ever smoked tobacco had a higher risk of NPC than participants who had never smoked, with odds ratios(ORs) of 4.50(95% confidence interval [CI] 2.58–7.86; P week also showed a significantly increased risk of NPC than those who never or rarely consumed salted vegetables, with an OR of 4.18(95% CI 1.69–10.38; P = 0.002).Conclusion: Smoking(currently and ever-smoked) and consuming salted vegetables once a week or more were lifestyle risk factors for NPC, and changes of these factors for the better may reduce the risk of NPC.

Towards Kinetic Modeling of Global Metabolic Networks： Methylobacterium extorquens AM1 Growth as Validation

Here we report a systematic method for constructing a large scale kinetic metabolic model and its initial application to the modeling of central metabolism of Methylobacterium extorquens AM1, a methylotrophic and environmental important bacterium. Its central metabolic network includes formaldehyde metabolism, serine cycle, citric acid cycle, pentose phosphate pathway, gluconeogensis, PHB synthesis and acetyl-CoA conversion pathway, respiration and energy metabolism. Through a systematic and consistent procedure of finding a set of parameters in the physiological range we overcome an outstanding difficulty in large scale kinetic modeling: the requirement for a massive number of enzymatic reaction parameters. We are able to construct the kinetic model based on general biological considerations and incomplete experimental kinetic parameters. Our method consists of the following major steps: 1) using a generic enzymatic rate equation to reduce the number of enzymatic parameters to a minimum set while still preserving their characteristics; 2) using a set of steady state fluxes and metabolite concentrations in the physiological range as the expected output steady state fluxes and metabolite concentrations for the kinetic model to restrict the parametric space of enzymatic reactions; 3) choosing enzyme constants K's and K'eqs optimized for reactions under physiological concentrations, if their experimental values are unknown; 4) for models which do not cover the entire metabolic network of the organisms, designing a dynamical exchange for the coupling between the metabolism represented in the model and the rest not included.

Is there an association between Helicobacter pylori infection and irritable bowel syndrome? A meta-analysis
