Introduction: Acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocation is a common shoulder injury, comprising 9% - 12% of shoulder girdle injuries. Optimal management remains challenging, with treatment decisions guided by the Rockwood classification system. Controversies surround grade III injuries, necessitating further classification. Non-operative treatment has shown favorable outcomes, while surgical interventions vary. Anatomical coracoclavicular reconstruction (ACCR) has demonstrated biomechanical advantages over traditional methods. Arthroscopic techniques offer advantages, minimizing deltoid detachment and allowing concurrent pathology identification. This study evaluates the outcomes of arthroscopic-assisted ACCR in chronic AC joint dislocation. Surgical Technique: Arthroscopic-assisted ACCR involves meticulous portal placement, tendon graft harvesting, diagnostic arthroscopy, and coracoid exposure. The clavicle tunnels were made to mimic the conoid and trapezoid ligament positions, using FibreTape#2 loop and Dog Bone Button for correct placement against the coracoid base, and passing the semitendinosus graft through to reconstruct the conoid ligament, reduction done and graft follow through for anatomical reconstruction. Methods: A retrospective cohort study at Hospital Kuala Lumpur analyzed 35 patients undergoing arthroscopic-assisted ACCR for Rockwood grade III - V AC joint dislocations. Inclusion criteria encompassed trauma ≥ 3 weeks prior, no prior shoulder injuries, and ≥12-month follow-up. Functional and radiological assessments utilized ASES scores and coracoclavicular distances, respectively. Statistical analysis employed descriptive statistics and logistic regression. Results: The mean age was 38.9 years (SD 11.26), and 34 of 35 patients were male. Grade IV injuries were predominant (37.1%). Waiting time for surgery averaged 234.9 days. Experimental investigations of granular shape effects on the generation of electrostatic charge

In solid processing systems, electrostatic problems are commonly observed for granules of various shapes. However, a complete understanding of the basic dependence of electrostatic charge generation on particle shape has yet to be established. This observation motivated the present study on examining the effect of granular shape on electrostatics. In this study, polyvinyl chloride （PVC） granules （diameter 1.1-4.1 ram, in the shape of a triangle or trapezium） were first discharged to remove any residual charges and sub- sequently their electrostatic charging characteristics were studied by allowing a granule to slide along a pipe wall. Several factors such as granular front-facing angle, length-ratio, sliding area, sliding orienta- tion, sliding times, and relative humidity were considered when studying their effects on the electrostatic charging of granules. It was found that triangular granules with smaller front-facing angles tended to generate more electrostatic charge. The amount of electrostatic charge increased with granular length- ratio and sliding area but decreased with humidity. In addition, granular sliding in the orientation of the front-facing angle （for triangular granules） or the short side （for trapezoidal granules） generated more electrostatic charge than that in the orientation of the long side. For both granule shapes, the elec- trostatic charge increased with granular sliding times and reached a saturated state after around 8-9 sliding movements. The saturated electrostatic charge increased with either granular length ratio or sliding area.

The disposal of spent activated carbon(AC) will inevitably create secondary pollution. In overcoming this problem, the spent AC can be regenerated by means of biological approach. Bioregeneration is the phenomenon in which through the action of microorganisms, the adsorbed pollutants on the surface of the AC will be biodegraded and this enables further adsorption of pollutants to occur with time elapse. This review provides the challenges and perspectives for effective bioregeneration to occur in biological activated carbon(BAC)column. Owing to very few reported works on the bioregeneration rate in BAC column, emphasis is put forward on the recently developed models of bioregeneration kinetic in batch system. All in all, providing potential solutions in increasing the lifespan of AC and the enhancement of bioregeneration rate will definitely overcome the bottlenecks in spent AC bioregeneration.
