The plasticity map of 304HC stainless steel was determined by using tensile and compressive test. The effect of Cu on the hot plasticity of 304HC stainless steel was analyzed. The microstructure, inclusion and fracture surface were studied by using the method of optical microscopy, SEM, EDS and EPMA. The results showed that Cu has effect on the hot plasticity and the hot plasticity of 304HC stainless steel decrease with the increase of Cu content. The deformation temperature also has much effect on the hot plasticity, the suitable deformation temperature are 1100-1200℃. The reason is that the brittle compounds were precipitated from austenite during cooling. These brittle compounds are Cu2S, Cu2O and PbCI etc.

Princeton Ocean Model is used to study the response of Jervis Bay, NSW, Australia, to the local wind and remote shelf coastal trapped wave (CTW) forcings in summer seasons when the water column is stratified by the water *** study has revealed that the response of bay to the wind forcing is the generation of the wind driven currents and the internal Kelvin waves (IKW). However, both temperature and flow sub-inertial oscillations in the bay are weaker than those from the observations and the correlation between the modeled and observed low frequency currents is low. In response to the forcing of CTWs on the adjacent shelf, IKWs are also established in the bay and amplitudes of sub-inertial oscillations of temperature and currents agree better with the observations. It can be concluded that sub-inertial baroclinic flows in the bay is dominantly forced by remote CTW on the shelf adjacent to Jervis Bay during thermally stratified summer seasons.

The generation of ultrashort high-power light sources in the mid-infrared(mid-IR)to terahertz(THz)range is of interest for applications in a number of fields,from fundamental research to biology and *** conventional laser technology,photon deceleration in plasma wakes provides an alternative approach to the generation of ultrashort mid-IR or THz ***,we present a photon deceleration scheme for the efficient generation of ultrashort mid-IR or THz pulses by using an intense driver laser pulse with a relatively short wavelength and a signal laser pulse with a relatively long *** signal pulse trails the driver pulse with an appropriate time delay such that it sits at the front of the second wake bubble that is driven by the driver *** to its relatively long wavelength,the signal pulse will be subjected to a large gradient of the refractive index.in the plasma wake ***,the photon deceleration in the plasma wake becomes faster and more efficient for signal pulses with longer *** greatly enhances the capacity and efficiency of photon deceleration in the generation of ultrashort high-power light sources in the long-wavelength IR and THz spectral ranges.

Topological materials, which feature robust surface and/or edge states, have now been a research focus in condensed maTher physics. They represent a new class of materials ex.ibiting nontrivial topological phases,and provide a platform for ex.loring ex.tic transport phenomena, such as the quantum anomalous Hall effect and the quantum spin Hall effect. Recently, magnetic topological materials have attracted considerable interests due to the possibility to study the interplay between topological and magnetic *** particular, the quantum anomalous Hall and ax.on insulator phases can be realized in topological insulators with magnetic order. MnBi2Te4, as the first intrinsic antiferromagnetic topological insulator discovered, allows the ex.mination of ex.sting theoretical predictions; it has been ex.ensively studied, and many new discoveries have been made. Here we review the progress made on MnBi2Te4from both ex.erimental and theoretical aspects. The bulk crystal and magnetic structures are surveyed first, followed by a review of theoretical calculations and ex.erimental probes on the band structure and surface states, and a discussion of various ex.tic phases that can be realized in MnBi2Te4. The properties of MnBi2Te4thin films and the corresponding transport studies are then reviewed, with an emphasis on the edge state transport. Possible future research directions in this field are also discussed.

Photonics integration of an optoelectronic oscillator(OEO)on a chip is attractive for fabricating low cost,compact,low power consumption,and highly reliable microwave sources,which has been demonstrated recently in silicon on insulator(SOI)and indium phosphide(InP)platforms at x.band around 8 *** we demonstrate the first integration of OEOs on the thin film lithium niobate(TFLN)platform,which has the advantages of lower Vπ,no chirp,wider frequency range,and less sensitivity to *** have successfully realized two different OEOs operating at Ka-band,with phase noises even lower than those of the x.band OEOs on SOI and InP *** is a fix.d frequency OEO at 30 GHz realized by integrating a Mach–Zehnder modulator(MZM)with an add-drop microring resonator(MRR),and the other is a tunable frequency OEO at 20–35 GHz realized by integrating a phase modulator(PM)with a notch *** work marks the first step of using TFLN to fabricate integrated OEOs with high frequency,small size,low cost,wide range tunability,and potentially low phase noise.

Multimedia model of atrazine in plant-soil-groundwater system with a fugacity approach

The application of atrazine in China during the last ten years has led to some environmental problems. In this paper, the multimedia model of atrazine in soil-plant-groundwater system at Baiyangdian Lake area in Northern China was established using a fugacity approach, and verified with observed values. The model involved 7 environmental compartments which are air, groundwater, soil, corn roots, corn stem, corn leaf and kernel of corn. The results showed that the relative errors between calculated and observed values have a mean value of 24.7%, the highest value is 48% and the lowest value is 1.4%. All these values indicated that this multimedia model can be used to simulate the environmental fate of atrazine. Both the calculated and observed values of concentrations of atrazine in plant compartments are in the following order: in corn roots > in corn stem > in kernel of corn > in corn leaf, it ex.ibited a good regularity. The prediction results indicated that concentrations of atrazine in the groundwater and kernel of corn will override the limitation of 3 μg/L and 0.05 mg/kg respectively.

Objective: To investigate the role of hepatic and gas-tric alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH) in different pa-thologic stages of alcoholic liver disease (ALD).Methods: Thirty-nine Wistar rats were divided ran-domly into two groups: model group (24) and con-trol group (15). The ALD model was established byinfusing alcohol into the stomach. After hepatic andgastric tissues had been stained by enzyme histo-cyto-chemistry assay, the activity varieties of hepatic andgastric ADH were observed by an optical micro-scope, and the activity alterations were also deter-mined by LUZEx.F image analysis as a semi-quanti-tative ***: The activity of hepatic ADH gradually in-creased, but that of gastric ADH gradually decreasedin the different pathologic stages of alcoholic liverdisease. There was a significant difference betweenthe model group and control group (P<0.05).Conclusions: Along with occurrence of ALD, the ac-tivity of hepatic ADH gradually increased, but thatof gastric ADH gradually decreased, showing thatthe activity alterations of hepatic and gastric ADHmay play an important role in the onset and develop-ment of ALD.
