Despite standard treatment for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)being surgical resection,cancer recurrence and complications,such as induction of malignant pleural effusion(MPE)and significant postoperative pain,usually result in treatment *** this study,an alginate-based hybrid hydrogel(SOG)is developed that can be injected into the resection surface of the lungs during ***,endoplasmic reticulum-modified liposomes(MSLs)pre-loaded with the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)small interfering RNA and lidocaine hydrochloride are encapsulated in *** applied,MSLs strongly downregulated STAT3 expression in the tumor microenvironment,resulting in the apoptosis of lung cancer cells and polarization of tumor-associated macrophages towards the M1-like ***,the release of lidocaine hydrochloride(LID)was beneficial for pain relief and natural killer cell *** data demonstrated MSL@LID@SOG not only efficiently inhibited tumor growth but also potently improved the quality of life,including reduced MPE volume and pain relief in orthotopic NSCLC mouse models,even with a single ***@LID@SOG shows potential for comprehensive clinical management upon tumor resection in NSCLC,and may alter the treatment paradigms for other cancers.

Based on morphological character comparisons and molecular phylogenetic reconstruction, we assessed the validity of the ratsnake subspecies Elaphe carinata deqenensis. Phylogenetic relationships inferred from fragments of two mitochondrial genes(ND2 and ND4) and one nuclear gene(c-mos) revealed a well-supported and minimally divergent sister relationship between putative E. c. deqenensis and E. c. carinata. Morphological comparisons indicated that all diagnostic characters proposed in the original description of E. c. deqenensis are unable to separate this taxon from E. c. carinata. On the basis of these preliminary investigations, we provisionally suggest that E. c. deqenensis is not a valid subspecies, and should henceforth be treated as a synonym of E. c. carinata.

Post-synthetic installation strategy is an effective approach to improve the functions of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs).Herein,a pair of chiral MOFs is successfully constructed through solvothermal subcomponent self-assembly and exhibit circularly polarized luminescence(CPL).These MOFs contain coordinatively unsaturated Zn sites and channels,which allow the installation of pyridyl-terminated pillars into the original *** a post-synthetic installation process reinforces the MOFs'rigidity and increases the photoluminescence quantum yields(PLQYs).Furthermore,the luminescence dissymmetry factors(glum)of these post-modified MOFs are amplified after installing the *** work provides an appealing strategy for boosting the CPL performance of chiral MOFs.

医护人员的临终关怀态度和安宁疗护行为调查

目的了解临床医护人员临终关怀态度与安宁疗护行为现况,探讨安宁疗护行为的影响因素。方法采用临终关怀态度调查量表和安宁疗护行为测量量表对425名临床医护人员进行调查。结果临床医护人员安宁疗护行为得分为(48.00±10.14)分,显著低于安宁疗护机构医护人员(P<0.05);临终关怀态度得分为(103.72±10.70)分。临终关怀态度与安宁疗护行为呈正相关(P<0.05)。分层回归分析结果显示,男性、已婚以及接受过临终关怀教育的医护人员安宁疗护行为水平较高;临终关怀态度中以患者及其家属为中心的照顾意识维度能独立解释安宁疗护行为总变异的11.6%。结论临床医护人员临终关怀态度总体偏正向,安宁疗护行为有待进一步提升,临终关怀态度对安宁疗护行为具有重要的促进作用。医院应通过开展专业培训,提升医护人员安宁疗护行为能力。

Objectives: To evaluate the specific manifestations of pancreatic carcinoma on spiral multi-phase CT and its resectability before operation. Methods: Ninety-seven patients were confirmed oper- atively and pathologically. Enhanced CT scan was performed with intravenous injection bolus of ap- proximately 75-120 ml (1-1.5 ml/kg body weight) contrast medium at a rate of 2.5-3 ml/s. In 68 pa- tients receiving dual-phase scan, the delayed scan time of arterial and venous phases was 18-20 s and 60-70 s, respectively, and in 29 patients receiving three-phase scan, the delayed scan time of arterial, pancreatic and portal venous phases was 18 s, 40 s and 75 s, respectively, with a slice of 3-5 mm thick- ness, a pitch of 1-1.5, and a reconstruction interval of 2.5-4.8 mm. Results: Positive and negative predictive values of un- resectable tumors were 97.65% and 75.86%, respec- tively. The sensitivity and accuracy were 90.67% and 90. 72%, respectively. Positive predictive values of dual-phase and three-phase were 95.83% and 100%, respectively; negative predictive values were 75% and 77.78%, respectively. Conclusions: Spiral multi-phase CT is superior in re- vealing the involvement of peripancreatic vessels, the invasion of the neighboring organs, the size, shape and range of carcinoma, and the metastasis of liver and lymph node. The predictability of resection is obviously increased for patients with pancreatic car- cinoma.

As a challenging task for bioluminescent tomography simulation, a virtual optical environment is needed to solve the forward problem accurately, that is, to achieve a high precision for bioluminescent signal synthesis on the external body surface of a small animal. The molecular optical simulation environment named MOSE is implemented using the C++ programming language and the OpenGL techniques, including a user-friendly interface with interactive tools facilitating users' operations. The accuracy of the virtual optical environment is verified by error analysis of mesh simplification and comparison between MOSE results and experimental data. This virtual optical environment is accurate, flexible and efficient to simulate the photon propagation in complicated tissues, which has a great potential to become a software platform for bioluminescent tomography studies and other molecular imaging applications.

CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 have recently been identified as a cause of oculopharyngeal myopathy with ***,since only three patients from a single family were reported,it remains unknown whether their clinicopathological features are typical for CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/***,using repeat-primed-polymerase chain reaction and long-read sequencing,we identify 12 individuals from 3 unrelated families with CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1,typically presenting with oculopharyngodistal *** CGG repeat expansions range from 161 to 669 repeat *** of the patients present with ptosis,restricted eye movements,dysphagia,dysarthria,and diffuse limb muscle *** one patient shows T2-weighted hyperintensity in the cerebellar white matter surrounding the deep cerebellar nuclei on brain magnetic resonance *** biopsies from three patients show a myopathic pattern and rimmed *** of muscle biopsies suggest that CGG repeat expansions in LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 may deleteriously affect aggrephagic capacity,suggesting that RNA toxicity and mitochondrial dysfunction may contribute to *** study thus expands the phenotypic spectrum for the CGG repeat expansion of LOC642361/NUTM2B-AS1 and indicates that this genetic variant typically manifests as oculopharyngodistal myopathy with chronic myopathic changes with rimmed vacuoles and filamentous intranuclear inclusions in muscle fibers.
