A　three－dimensional　ocean　general　circulation　model　for　mesoscale　eddies──Ⅰ　Meander　simulation　and　linear　growth　rate

A three-dimensional, primitive-equation model, Blumberg's ECOMSI (Estuarine and Coastal Ocean Model with a Semi-Implicit scheme), is modified and applied to the simulation of the ocean mesoscale eddies and unstable baroclinic waves across a density front in a channel. The model uses a semi-implicit scheme to remove the most stringent Courant-Friedriechs-Levy (CFL) constraint. We have modified this model by introducing a predictor-corrector scheme to remove the inertial instability due to the Euler forward scheme in time used in the ECOMSI. Instead, the neutral amplification of the eigenvalue is obtained for the inertial oscillation. Thus,the new version of the model (called the predictorcorrector or P-C version) is able to simulate the unstable baroclinic waves and ocean mesoscale eddies in a very low viscosity environment. Meanders of a current with some similarity to mesoscale features are well reproduced. The unstable baroclinic waves are examined for flat, positive (same sense as isopycnal tilt) and negative bottoms. The growth rates with flat, gentle, medium, and steep slopes and with different wavelength (wave number) channels are discussed. A gentle positive slope significantly suppresses the meandering wave growth rate which slightly shifts to a lower wave number coml. Enhance the Performance of Directional Feature-based Palmprint Recognition by Directional Response Stability Measurement

Palmprint recognition is an emerging biometrics technology that has attracted increasing attention in recent years. Many palmprint recognition methods have been proposed, including traditional methods and deep learning-based methods. Among the traditional methods, the methods based on directional features are mainstream because they have high recognition rates and are robust to illumination changes and small noises. However, to date, in these methods, the stability of the palmprint directional response has not been deeply studied. In this paper, we analyse the problem of directional response instability in palmprint recognition methods based on directional feature. We then propose a novel palmprint directional response stability measurement (DRSM) to judge the stability of the directional feature of each pixel. After filtering the palmprint image with the filter bank, we design DRSM according to the relationship between the maximum response value and other response values for each pixel. Using DRSM, we can judge those pixels with unstable directional response and use a specially designed encoding mode related to a specific method. We insert the DRSM mechanism into seven classical methods based on directional feature, and conduct many experiments on six public palmprint databases. The experimental results show that the DRSM mechanism can effectively improve the performance of these methods. In the field of palmprint recognition, this work is the first in-depth study on the stability of the palmprint directional response, so this paper has strong reference value for research on palmprint recognition methods based on directional features.

A guidance and control design with reduced information for a dual-spin stabilized projectile

Performance and mechanism of La-Fe metal-organic framework as a highly efficient adsorbent for fluoride removal from mine water

Water fluoride pollution has caused non-negligible harm to the environment and humans,and thus it is crucial to find a suitable treatment *** this study,La-Fe@PTA adsorbent was synthesized for the defluoridation of mine *** results showed that the optimum conditions for defluoridation by La-Fe@PTA were p H close to 7.0,the initial F-concentration of 10 mg/L,the dosage of 0.5 g/L and the adsorption time of 240 *** with SO_4^(2-),Cl^(-),NO_(3)^(-),Ca^(2+)and Mg^(2+),CO_(3)^(2-)and HCO_(3)^(-)presented severer inhibition on fluoride uptake by La-Fe@*** adsorption process fits well with the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Freundlich model,and the maximum adsorption capacity of Langmuir model was 95 mg/***-bed adsorption results indicated that fluoride in practical fluorinated mine water could be effectively removed from 3.6 mg/L to less than 1.5 mg/L within130 bed volume(BV)by using 1.5 g La-Fe@***,the adsorbent still had good adsorption capacity after regeneration,which confirms the great application potential of La-Fe@PTA as a fluoride ion *** mechanism analysis showed that La-Fe@PTA adsorption of fluorine ions is a physicochemical reaction driven by electrostatic attraction and ion exchange.

Design method and experimental study of a cathode tool with an extremely high leveling ratio for electrochemical machining of blisk

To obtain final parts with the desired dimensional accuracy and repeatability via electrochemical machining(ECM), the machining process must enter an ECM balanced state. However,for the ECM processing of blisk, a key component of aerospace engines, the surface of the blade blank often has an uneven allowance distribution due to the narrow passage of the cascade. It is difficult to remedy this issue in subsequent processing steps, which is necessary to ensure the dimensional accuracy and repeatability of the final blade profile. To solve this problem, electrolytic machining must be preceded by electrolytic shaping, which requires cathode tools with large leveling ratios to quickly homogenize the blank surface of the blade. In this study, to obtain a cathode tool with an extremely high leveling ratio, a design method based on the variation in the electrode gap in the non-equilibrium electrolytic state is proposed, and a dissolution model based on the nonequilibrium state is established. In this design method, the allowance on the blank to be machined is first divided into many discrete allowances with the normal direction. The initial machining clearance, feed rate, and total machining time are then calculated using classical ECM equilibrium state theory based on the maximum allowance. Meanwhile, the point coordinates of the cathode tool at maximum allowance can be determined. The non-equilibrium model can then be used to calculate the relative coordinate positions corresponding to the remaining discrete allowances. Finally, the entire cathode tool profile is designed. Simulations, fundamental experiments, and blisk unit workpiece experiments were carried out to validate the design approach. In the simulated processing of the plane workpiece, the leveling ratio of the cathode tool designed by the proposed method(0.77)was 83% higher than that of the cathode tool designed using the traditional method. Herein,a new nanozyme/natural enzyme hybrid biosensor was established for ultrasensitive l-glutamic acid(L-Glu)*** Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles with peroxidase-like activity and stability was used as a nanozyme and carrier for immobilizing l-Glutamate oxidase(GLOD)through Schiffff base reaction to construct a chem-enzyme cascade *** resultant Fe_(3)O_(4)-GOLD exhibited a wide linear range(10−500μM)and a low detection limit of 6.03μM for L-Glu ***,the Fe_(3)O_(4)-GOLD exhibited excellent pH stability,thermal stability,reusability and storage *** repeated nine cycles,Fe_(3)O_(4)-GOLD still retained 70%of its initial ***,Fe_(3)O_(4)-GOLD maintained 50%of its initial activity after storage for 20 days,while free GLOD only retained 20%of its initial *** strategy of integrating biomimetic Fe 3 O4 and natural enzymes for cascade catalysis makes it possible to design an efficient and stable chemo-enzyme composite catalysts,which are promising for applications in biosensing and biomimetic catalysis.
