Comparison of Rotating Stall Warning by Different Methods for Variable Speed Configurations in a Contra-Rotating Compressor

Stall in compressors can cause performance degradation and even lead to *** unacceptable consequences can be avoided by timely monitoring stall inception and taking effective *** paper focused on the rotating stall warning in a low-speed axial contra-rotating ***,the stall disturbance characteristics under different speed configurations were *** results showed that as the speed ratio(RR)increased,the stall disturbance propagation speed based on the rear rotor speed gradually ***,the standard deviation(SD)method,the cross-correlation(CC)method,and the discrete wavelet transform(DWT)method were employed to obtain the stall initiation moments of three different speed *** was found that the SD and CC methods did not achieve significant stall warning results in all three speed ***,the stall initiation moment obtained by the DWT method at RR=1.125 was one period after the stall had fully developed,which was ***,a stall warning method was developed in the present work based on the long short-term memory(LSTM)regression *** applying the LSTM model,the predicted stall initiation moments of three speed configurations were at the 557th,518th,and 333rd revolution,which were44,2,and 74 revolutions ahead of stall onset moments,***,in scenarios where a minor disturbance preceded the stall,the stall warning effect of the LSTM was greatly improved in comparison with the aforementioned three *** contrast,when the pressure fluctuation before the stall was relatively small,the differences between the stall initiation moments predicted by these four methods were not significant.

Viscosity and structure of CaO-BaO-SiO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3)-based mold slags for continuous casting of high titanium steel with different Tio2 absorption

The effect of TiO_(2) absorption into two different CaO-BaO-SiO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3)-based mold slags from the steel plant on the viscosity,melting performance and microstructure of slags was investigated through the measurement of the viscosity-temperature relationship,melting temperature and Raman *** parameter of the number of non-bridging oxygen per tetrahedrally-coordinated atom(NBO/T)was also calculated to explain the microstructure variation of molten slags with different TiO_(2) *** variation of the actual slag consumption and the depth of the liquid slag in mold was explained through the comparison of the viscosity and the melting temperature of two different *** viscosity of mold slags(basicity=0.6)decreased from 1.1 to 0.68 Pa s with the increase in the Ti0_(2) absorption from 0 to 10%,while that of slags(basicity=0.7)decreased from 0.76 to 0.56 Pa s with the Ti0_(2) absorption from 0 to 6%.The activation energy of both two groups of slags had the tendency to decrease with the increasing TiO_(2) *** network structure of both two groups of slags measured by the Raman spectra showed that the fraction of complex structure units(Q^(1),Q^(2),Q^(3) and A1-O-Al)decreased and simple structure units(Al-O-and Q^(0))increased with the increase in TiO_(2) ***/T also increased with the increase in the TiO2 absorption,indicating that the absorption of TiO_(2) into slags resulted in the destruction of silicate/aluminate ***,the absorption of TiO_(2) into the current CaO-BaO-SiO_(2)-Al_(2)O_(3) mold slags decreased the degree of polymerization of these slags and then led to the decrease of viscosity.

Partnering crops with root-associated microbes for soil health and agricultural sustainability

Increasing global demand for food presents a significant challenge to maintaining soil health and sustainable production of agricultural crops. As plant root-associated microbial fitness is greatly impacted by community growth, development, and nutrient acquisition, the cultivation of functional assembly of root-associated microbes may provide solutions for achieving food security while maintaining healthy soils. Here, we propose a four-part strategy to promote soil health and agricultural productivity by partnering crops with root-associated microbes.

Strong evidence for latitudinal diversity gradient in mosses across the world

Species richness generally decreases with increasing latitude,a biodiversity gradient that has long been considered as one of the few laws in *** latitudinal diversity gradient has been observed in many major groups of *** plants,the latitudinal diversity gradient has been observed in vascular plants,angiosperms,ferns,and ***,a conspicuous latitudinal diversity gradient in mosses at a global or continental scale has not been observed until ***,we analyze a comprehensive data set including moss species in each band of 20° in latitude *** results show that moss species richness decreases strongly with increasing latitude,regardless of whether the globe is considered as a whole or different longitudinal segments(e.g.,Old World versus New World) are considered *** result holds when variation in area size among latitudinal bands is taken into ***'s correlation coefficient between latitude and species richness is-0.99 for both the Northern and Southern *** bryophytes are an extant lineage of early land plants and because mosses not only include most of extant species of bryophytes but also are important constituents of most terrestrial ecosystems,understanding geographic patterns of mosses is particularly important The finding of our study fills a critical knowledge gap.

Exploration of single molecular species synchronously featured by long excitation/emission wavelength, accurate diagnosis, and effective therapy, remains supremely appealing to implement high-performance cancer phototheranostics. However, those previously established phototheranostic agents are undiversified and stereotyped in terms of structural skeleton, and generally exhibit insufficient phototheranostic outcomes. Herein, we innovatively utilized indanone-condensed thiadiazolo[3,4-g]quinoxaline(ITQ) as electron acceptor to construct novel photosensitizer with second near-infrared(NIR-II) emission. Experimental study and theoretical calculation demonstrated that comparing with the counterparts constituting by widely employed NIR-II building block benzobisthiadiazole(BBTD) and 6,7-diphenylthiadiazoloquinoxaline(DPTQ), ITQ-based photosensitizer(TITQ) showed superior aggregation-induced emission(AIE) characteristics, much stronger type-I reactive oxygen species(ROS) production, and prominent photothermal conversion capacity. Furthermore, TITQ nanoparticles with excellent biocompatibility were capable of effectively accumulating in the tumor site and visualizing tumor through fluorescence-photoacoustic-photothermal trimodal imaging with highly spatiotemporal resolution, and completely eliminating tumor by type-I photodynamic-photothermal therapy.

The concentration difference in the near-surface region of lithium metal is the main cause of lithium dendrite *** this issue will be key to achieving high-performance lithium metal batteries(LMBs).Herein,we construct a lithium nitrate(LiNO_(3))-implanted electroactiveβphase polyvinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene(PVDF-HFP)crystalline polymorph layer(PHL).The electronegatively charged polymer chains attain lithium ions on the surface to form lithium-ion charged *** channels act as reservoirs to sustainably release Li ions to recompense the ionic flux of electrolytes,decreasing the growth of lithium *** stretched molecular channels can also accelerate the transport of Li *** combined effects enable a high Coulombic efficiency of 97.0%for 250 cycles in lithium(Li)||copper(Cu)cell and a stable symmetric plating/stripping behavior over 2000 h at 3 mA cm^(-2)with ultrahigh Li utilization of 50%.Furthermore,the full cell coupled with PHL-Cu@Li anode and Li Fe PO_(4) cathode exhibits long-term cycle stability with high-capacity retention of 95.9%after 900 ***,the full cell paired with LiNi_(0.87)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.03)O_(2)maintains a discharge capacity of 170.0 mAh g^(-1)with a capacity retention of 84.3%after 100 cycles even under harsh condition of ultralow N/P ratio of *** facile strategy will widen the potential application of LiNO_(3)in ester-based electrolyte for practical high-voltage LMBs.

Parotid metastasis of rare lung adenocarcinoma:A case report

BACKGROUND Lung cancer(LC)is the leading cause of malignancy-related deaths *** most common sites of metastasis include the nervous system,bone,liver,respiratory system,and adrenal *** metastasis in the parotid gland is very rare,and its diagnosis presents a ***,we report a case of parotid metastasis in primary *** SUMMARY The patient was a 74-year-old male who was discovered to have bilateral facial asymmetry inadvertently two years *** right earlobe was slightly swollen and without pain or *** tomography(CT)examination showed bilateral lung space-occupying *** biopsy was performed and revealed adenocarcinoma(right-upper-lung nodule tissue).Positron emission tomography-CT examination showed:(1)Two hypermetabolic nodules in the right upper lobe of the lung,enlarged hy-permetabolic lymph nodes in the right hilar and mediastinum,and malignant space-occupying lesion in the right upper lobe of the lung and possible metastasis to the right hilar and mediastinal lymph nodes;and(2)multiple hypermetabolic nodules in bilateral parotid *** puncture biopsy was performed considering lung adenocarcinoma *** detection of lung biopsy specimens revealed an EGFR gene 21 exon L858R *** This case report highlights the challenging diagnosis of parotid metastasis in LC given its rare *** lesions should be differentiated from primary tumors of the parotid *** radiological imaging is unreliable,and puncture biopsy is needed for final diagnosis of this condition.

Metagenomics reveals the microbial community and functional metabolism variation in the partial nitritation-anammox process:From collapse to recovery

Mainstream partial nitritation-anammox(PNA)process easily suffers from performance instability and even reactor collapse in ***,it is of great significance to unveil the characteristic of performance recovery,understand the intrinsic mechanism and then propose operational *** this study,we combined long-term reactor operation,batch tests,and metagenomics to reveal the succession of microbial community and functional metabolism variation from system collapse to *** aeration control(0.10-0.25mg O_(2)/L)was critical for performance *** was also found that Candidatus Brocadia became the dominant flora and its abundance increased from 3.5%to 11.0%.Significant enhancements in carbon metabolism and phospholipid biosynthesis were observed during system recovery,and the genes abundance related to signal transduction was dramatically *** up-regulation of sdh and suc genes showed the processes of succinate dehydrogenation and succinyl-CoA synthesis might stimulate the production of amino acids and the synthesis of proteins,thereby possibly improving the activity and abundance of AnAOB,which was conducive to the performance ***,the increase in abundance of hzs and hdh genes suggested the enhancement of the anammox *** in the abundance of key genes involved in nitrogen metabolism indicated that nitrogen removal pathway was more diverse after system *** achievement of performance recovery was driven by anammox,nitrification and denitrification coupled with dissimilatory nitrate reduction to *** results provide deeper insights into the recovery mechanism of PNA system and also provide a potential regulation strategy for the stable operation of the mainstream PNA process.
