The COVID-19 pandemic has caused hundreds of thousands of deaths,millions of infections worldwide,and the loss of trillions of dollars for many large *** poses a grave threat to the human population with an excessive number of patients constituting an unprecedented challenge with which health systems have to *** from many domains have devised diverse approaches for the timely diagnosis of COVID-19 to facilitate medical *** the same vein,a wide variety of research studies have investigated underlying medical conditions for indicators suggesting the severity and mortality of,and role of age groups and gender on,the probability of COVID-19 *** study aimed to review,analyze,and critically appraise published works that report on various factors to explain their relationship with *** studies span a wide range,including descriptive analyses,ratio analyses,cohort,prospective and retrospective *** studies that describe indicators to determine the probability of infection among the general population,as well as the risk factors associated with severe illness and mortality,are critically analyzed and these ndings are discussed in detail.A comprehensive analysis was conducted on research studies that investigated the perceived differences in vulnerability of different age groups and genders to severe outcomes of *** incorporating important demographic,health,and socioeconomic characteristics are highlighted to emphasize their ***,the lack of an appropriated dataset that contains demographic,personal health,and socioeconomic information implicates the efcacy and efciency of the discussed *** are overstated on the part of both exclusion of quarantined and patients with mild symptoms and inclusion of the data from hospitals where the majority of the cases are potentially ill.

Millimeter-Wave(mmWave)Massive MIMO is one of the most effective technology for the fifth-generation(5G)wireless *** improves both the spectral and energy efficiency by utilizing the 30–300 GHz millimeter-wave bandwidth and a large number of antennas at the base ***,increasing the number of antennas requires a large number of radio frequency(RF)chains which results in high power *** order to reduce the RF chain’s energy,cost and provide desirable quality-ofservice(QoS)to the subscribers,this paper proposes an energy-efficient hybrid precoding algorithm formm Wave massive MIMO networks based on the idea of RF chains *** sparse digital precoding problem is generated by utilizing the analog precoding ***,it is jointly solved through iterative fractional programming and successive convex optimization(SCA)*** results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing schemes and effectively improves the system performance under different operating conditions.

AIM:To assess sustained virological response(SVR) rates in a predominantly hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype 4 infected population. METHODS:Between 2003-2007,240 patients who were treated for chronic hepatitis C infection at our center were *** data,viral genotypes,and treatment outcomes were evaluated in all treated *** with chronic renal failure, previous non-responders,and those who relapsed after previous treatment were excluded from the *** all patients,57%were treated with PEG-interferon(IFN)α-2a and 43%patients were treated with PEG-IFNα-2b;both groups received a standard dose of ribavirin. RESULTS:89.6%of patients completed the treatment with an overall SVR rate of 58%.The SVR rate was 54%in genotype 1,44%in genotype 2,73%in genotype 3,and 59%in genotype 4 *** was no statistical difference in the SVR rate between patients treated with PEG-IFNα-2a and PEG-IFNα-2b (61.5%vs 53%).Patients younger than 40 years had higher SVR rates than older patients(75%vs 51%,P =0.001).SVR was also statistically significantly higher when the HCV RNA load(pretreatment)was below 800.000(64%vs 50%,P=0.023),in patients with a body mass index(BMI)less than 28(65%vs 49%,P =0.01),and in patients who completed the treatment duration(64%vs 8%,P≤0.00001).CONCLUSION:The SVR rate in our study is higher than in previous *** with the standard duration of treatment,higher ribavirin dose,younger age,lower BMI,and low pretreatment RNA levels were associated with a higher virological response.

Background:The relative anatomical understanding of the perirectal fasciae is of paramount importance for the proper performance of total mesorectal excision(TME).This study was to demonstrate the planes of TME and validates the intraoperative findings using cadaveric ***:In this combined retrospective and prospective study,bilateral attachment of the rectosacral fascia(RSF)was observed in 28 cadaveric specimens(male,n=14;female,n=14).From January 2018 to December 2019,surgical videos of 67 patients who underwent laparoscopic TME at the Affiliated Union Hospital of Fujian Medical University(Fuzhou,China)were reviewed and interpreted with the cadaveric ***:The RSF(synonym:Waldeyer’s fascia)is the end of the pre-hypogastric fascia at the level of S4 and comprises two layers(upper and lower).These two layers provide double fascial protection for the venous sacral *** inserts into the fascia propria of the rectum along a broad horizontal arc that merges anterolaterally in an oblique downward direction until it meets the posterolateral merge of Denonvilliers’fascia at the lateral rectal ligament(LRL).This ligament does not look like a true ligament but is more likely to be a fascial combination that cushions the rectal innervation and middle rectal ***:Understanding the lateral attachment of RSF and its contribution to LRL provides invaluable surgical guidance to dissect this critical ***,lateral dissection is proposed from the anterior to the posterior direction to find the correct plane that guarantees an intact mesorectal envelope to protect the important nearby nerve structures.

Dynamic spectrum access(DSA) in cognitive radio(CR) networks became a challenging research area recently. In CR technology, the DSA between primary users(PUs) and secondary users(SUs) simultaneously can be achieved without degrading the performance of the PUs by SUs interference. This can be achieved by donating incentive power to the PUs in order to compensate the interference caused by the SUs. Consequently, PUs allow SUs to share the spectrum. In this paper, orthogonal codes-based dynamic spectrum access(OC-DSA) technique is proposed. OC-DSA technique employs orthogonality between PUs and SUs transmitted data symbols in addition to the incentive power donation. Compared to other techniques, the proposed technique uses a simple encoder at the SU network for the same PU network infrastructure. By applying orthogonal codes, the interference caused by SUs is canceled and hence the donated power to incentivize the PUs is reduced. Also, the SU packet rate is increased significantly. The simulation results show that the proposed technique provides effective improvements over other existing techniques in the signal strength and the bit error rate performance of both the PU network and the SU network at the receiver side. Moreover, the proposed technique requires less donated power to incentivize the PU and has higher packet rate.
