Turbulent fluxes at the air-sea interface were estimated with data collected in 2011-2020 with a low-profile platform named OCARINA during eight experiments in five regions:2011,2015,and 2016 in the Iroise Sea;2012 in the tropical Atlantic;2014 in the Chilie-Peru upwelling;2017 and 2018 in the Mediterranean Sea,and 2018 and 2020 in *** observations were carried out with moderate winds(2-10 m s-1) and average wave heights of 1.5 *** this study,the authors used the fluxes calculated by the bulk method using OCARINA-sampled data as the *** data can validate the fluxes estimated from ERAS reanalysis *** OCARINA and ERA5 data were taken *** do this,the authors established an algorithm to extract the OCARINA data as closely as possible to the reanalysis data in time and *** measurements of the OCARINA platform can conclude on the relevance of the widely used reanalysis data.

This paper introduces a novel variant of particle swarm optimization that leverages local displacements through attractors for addressing multiobjective optimization problems. The method incorporates a square root distance mechanism into the external archives to enhance the diversity. We evaluate the performance of the proposed approach on a set of constrained and unconstrained multiobjective test functions, establishing a benchmark for comparison. In order to gauge its effectiveness relative to established techniques, we conduct a comprehensive comparison with well-known approaches such as SMPSO, NSGA2 and SPEA2. The numerical results demonstrate that our method not only achieves efficiency but also exhibits competitiveness when compared to evolutionary algorithms. Particularly noteworthy is its superior performance in terms of convergence and diversification, surpassing the capabilities of its predecessors.

Megaloblastic pernicious anemia is an autoimmune disorder, considered rare in African context. The objective of this study was to report four clinical cases collected at the CHUR/OHG, and to review the literature. The study population consisted of two men and two women. The clinical manifestations were mainly neurological and hematological. The neurological signs were mainly paresthesia. One patient presented memory problems. On the biological level, macrocytic anemia and vitamin B12 deficiency were reported in two cases prior to treatment while the other two without serological assay of vitamin B12 were put on trial treatment. Anti-intrinsic factor antibodies were positive in three patients. The Schilling test was not used. Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy revealed atrophic fundic gastritis in all four patients who received treatment through intramuscular injection of hydroxocobalamin (vitamin B12). The evolution was favorable after one month of treatment in all cases. The literature review is dominated by clinical case reports, the largest cohorts of which are from the Maghreb.

This review updates the present status of the field of molecular markers and marker-assisted selection(MAS),using the example of drought tolerance in *** accuracy of selected quantitative trait loci(QTls),candidate genes and suggested markers was assessed in the barley genome *** common strategies are described for molecular marker development,candidate gene identification and verification,and their possible applications in MAS to improve the grain yield and yield components in barley under drought *** strategies are based on the following five principles:(1)Molecular markers are designated as genomic‘tags’,and their‘prediction’is strongly dependent on their distance from a candidate gene on genetic or physical maps;(2)plants react differently under favourable and stressful conditions or depending on their stage of development;(3)each candidate gene must be verified by confirming its expression in the relevant conditions,e.g.,drought;(4)the molecular marker identified must be validated for MAS for tolerance to drought stress and improved grain yield;and(5)the small number of molecular markers realized for MAS in breeding,from among the many studies targeting candidate genes,can be explained by the complex nature of drought stress,and multiple stress-responsive genes in each barley genotype that are expressed differentially depending on many other factors.

采用水提醇沉法提取刺玫根粗多糖,以Sevage法和TCA法脱蛋白,进一步分级醇沉法分离纯化得到较纯的60%醇沉物(RdRP)进行结构鉴定和活性评价。苯酚浓硫酸法测定出刺玫根多糖RdRP总糖含量为94.1%;高效凝胶渗透色谱法测定表明主要含有重均分子量为13.1 kda,相对分散度为1.2的多糖;通过高效离子色谱法和红外光谱测定,鉴定刺玫根多糖为由葡萄糖、阿拉伯糖、半乳糖、甘露糖、木糖等5种单糖组成的含有α-构型的中性吡喃多糖。环磷酰胺诱导的免疫抑制小鼠模型实验结果表明,与模型组相比,刺玫根多糖各剂量组小鼠的脾脏和胸腺指数明显升高(PlIsa法检测血清中免疫相关蛋白IgG、IgM、IgA以及细胞因子TNF-α、IFN-γ、Il-6与Il-2的分泌水平,结果显示,与模型组比较,刺玫根多糖组显著上调小鼠血清中免疫球蛋白IgA、IgG、IgM浓度水平(Pl-2、IFN-γ、TNF-α、Il-6的含量(Plot法测定各组TlR4、Myd88、TRAF-6和NF-κB p65蛋白的表达水平,发现刺玫根多糖各剂量组脾脏中TlR4、TRAF-6蛋白极显著上升(Pd88蛋白极显著上升(PlR/NF-κB通道有关。本研究初步阐明刺玫根多糖的基本结构特征和其免疫调节作用及其机制,为刺玫根多糖的开发应用提供一定价值的实验依据。

The woodpigeon(Columba palumbus)is a common and widespread bird in Morocco(North Africa).I examined,over 2 years(2010 and 2011),the breeding density and nest placement of this game species in relation to nest site habitat and degree of human *** study area was in the Middle Atlas Tighboula mountain forest,Morocco,in a disturbed and an undisturbed *** data collected in the 2 study sites,I aimed to identify the factors influencing the placement of nests within holm oak trees(Quercus rotundifolia)and their densities.I found that habitat structures,influenced by grazing disturbance,have affected nesting density and the location of nests of this *** place their nests in a higher position(3.42±0.19 m)when disturbance intensity is high and lower(1.68±0.1 m)when disturbance intensity is low,and show higher nesting density in less disturbed zone(3.1±0.4 nests/ha)than in highly disturbed zones(1.4±0.2 nests/ha).Grazing disturbance could pose a threat to population persistence at a broader scale and could potentially reduce the abundance of this species by altering the composition and the structure of the forest nesting *** multi-scale studies are needed to assess the effects of different levels of grazing disturbance on woodpigeon nest density and placement,and to enhance our knowledge of the breeding behavior of this game species under variable environments.

Background: In vitro fertilization (IVF) has emerged as a transformative solution for infertility. However, achieving favorable live-birth outcomes remains challenging. Current clinical IVF practices in IVF involve the collection of heterogeneous embryo data through diverse methods, including static images and temporal videos. However, traditional embryo selection methods, primarily reliant on visual inspection of morphology, exhibit variability and are contingent on the experience of practitioners. Therefore, an automated system that can evaluate heterogeneous embryo data to predict the final outcomes of live births is highly ***: We employed artificial intelligence (AI) for embryo morphological grading, blastocyst embryo selection, aneuploidy prediction, and final live-birth outcome prediction. We developed and validated the AI models using multitask learning for embryo morphological assessment, including pronucleus type on day 1 and the number of blastomeres, asymmetry, and fragmentation of blastomeres on day 3, using 19,201 embryo photographs from 8271 patients. A neural network was trained on embryo and clinical metadata to identify good-quality embryos for implantation on day 3 or day 5, and predict live-birth outcomes. Additionally, a 3d convolutional neural network was trained on 418 time-lapse videos of preimplantation genetic testing (PGT)-based ploidy outcomes for the prediction of aneuploidy and consequent live-birth ***: These two approaches enabled us to automatically assess the implantation potential. By combining embryo and maternal metrics in an ensemble AI model, we evaluated live-birth outcomes in a prospective cohort that achieved higher accuracy than experienced embryologists (46.1%vs. 30.7% on day 3, 55.0%vs. 40.7% on day 5).
