The cons.ruction s.ctor is.one of the main s.urces.of pollution,due to high energy cons.mption and the toxic s.bs.ances.generated during the proces.ing and us. of traditional *** production of cement,s.eel,and other conventional materials.impacts.both ecos.s.ems.and human health,increas.ng the demand for ecological and biodegradable *** this.paper,we analyze the properties.of panels.made from a combination of plant fibers.and cas.or oil res.n,analyzing the viability of their us. as.cons.ruction *** the res.arch,orthogonal fabrics.made with was.e plant fibers.s.pplied by a company that deals.with the manufacture of furniture and craft products.were *** fabrics.were made with s.rips.of plant fibers.of the Calamus.rotang,Bambus. vulgaris.Heterops.s.flexuos.,and s.lix viminalis.*** improve their compatibility with the cas.or oil res.n,a cold argon plas.a treatment was.*** effect of the treatment on the properties.of the fibers.and the panels.was.*** dens.ty,water abs.rption capacity,and s.elling percentage were ***,compres.ion,s.atic bending,and linear buckling tes.s.were carried *** s.udy found that panels.made with treated fiber fabrics.exhibited a reduction of approximately 10%in abs.rption capacity and up to 35%in s.elling percentage *** made with Bambus. vulgaris.fabrics.exhibited the highes. s.rength and s.iffnes. *** models.were cons.ructed us.ng commercial finite element *** comparing the numerical res.lts.with the experimental ones.differences.of les. than 15%were s.en,demons.rating that the models.allow adequately predicting the analyzed *** comparing the values.obtained with the characteris.ic values.of oriented s.rand board,the res.lts.s.gges. that panels.made with unconventional materials.could replace commercial panels.traditionally made with wood-bas.d fibers.and particles.and other compos.te materials.in s.veral applications.in th

Endos.opic treatment of biliopancreatic pathology in patients.with Whipple's.pancreaticoduodenectomy s.rgical variants. Les.ons.learned from s.ngle-balloon enteros.opy-as.is.ed ERCP

Background: Endos.opic treatment of biliopancreatic pathology is.challenging due to s.rgically altered anatomy after Whipple's.pancreaticoduodenectomy. This.s.udy aimed to evaluate the feas.bility and s.fety of s.ngle-balloon enteros.opy-as.is.ed endos.opic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(s.E-ERCP) to treat biliopancreatic pathology in patients.with Whipple's.pancreaticoduodenectomy s.rgical variants. Methods. We retros.ectively analyzed 106 s.E-ERCP procedures.in 46 patients.with Whipple's.variants. Technical and clinical s.cces. rates.and advers. events.were evaluated. Res.lts. Biliary s.E-ERCP was.performed in 34 patients.and pancreatic s.E-ERCP in 17, including 5 with both indications. From a total of 106 s.E-ERCP procedures. 76 were biliary indication with technical s.cces. rate of 68/76(90%) procedures.and clinical s.cces. rate of 30/34(88%) patients. Mild advers. event rate was.8/76(11%), without s.rious.advers. events. From a total of 106 s.E-ERCP procedures. 30 were pancreatic indication with technical s.cces. rate of 24/30(80%) procedures. P = 0.194 vs. biliary s.EERCP) and clinical s.cces. rate of 11/17(65%) patients. P = 0.016 vs. biliary s.E-ERCP). Mild advers. event rate was.6/30(20%)( P = 0.194 vs. biliary s.E-ERCP), without s.rious.advers. events. After s.E-ERCP failure, endos.opic ultras.und-guided drainage, percutaneous.drainage and redo s.rgery were alternative therapeutic options. Conclus.ons. Biliopancreatic pathology after Whipple's.pancreaticoduodenectomy variants.can be treated us.ng s.E-ERCP without s.rious.advers. events. Technical and clinical s.cces. rates.are high for biliary indications. whereas.clinical s.cces. rate of pancreatic indications.is.s.gnificantly lower. s.E-ERCP can be cons.dered as.firs.-line treatment option in this.patient group with s.rgically altered anatomy.

Dis.oint s.mpling is.critical for rigorous.and unbias.d evaluation of s.ate-of-the-art (s.TA) models.e.g., Attention graph and Vis.on Trans.ormer. When training, validation, and tes. s.ts.overlap or s.are data, it introduces.a bias.that inflates.performance metrics.and prevents.accurate as.es.ment of a model’s.true ability to generalize to new examples. This.paper pres.nts.an innovative dis.oint s.mpling approach for training s.TA models.for the Hypers.ectral Image Clas.ification (Hs.C). By s.parating training, validation, and tes. data without overlap, the propos.d method facilitates.a fairer evaluation of how well a model can clas.ify pixels.it was.not expos.d to during training or validation. Experiments.demons.rate the approach s.gnificantly improves.a model’s.generalization compared to alternatives.that include training and validation data in tes. data (A trivial approach involves.tes.ing the model on the entire Hypers.ectral datas.t to generate the ground truth maps. This.approach produces.higher accuracy but ultimately res.lts.in low generalization performance). Dis.oint s.mpling eliminates.data leakage between s.ts.and provides.reliable metrics.for benchmarking progres. in Hs.C. Dis.oint s.mpling is.critical for advancing s.TA models.and their real-world application to large-s.ale land mapping with Hypers.ectral s.ns.rs. Overall, with the dis.oint tes. s.t, the performance of the deep models.achieves.96.36% accuracy on Indian Pines.data, 99.73% on Pavia Univers.ty data, 98.29% on Univers.ty of Hous.on data, 99.43% on Bots.0}na data, and 99.88% on s.linas.data. © 2024 The Authors.
