Two Ni/Ni3Al-interface-contained cluster models with/without lattice misfit are studied by first-principles method to clarify the debates about the segregation behaviors of Hafnium （Hf） and explore the influence of lattice misfit on the ductility effect of Hr. It is found that though Hf prefers to substitute A1 rather than Ni in Ni3A1 phase within most of the investigated misfit range, its stronger preferring to Ni phase than NiaA1 phase makes it impossible to go into Ni3A1 phase to occupy A1 site in Ni-Ni3A1 alloys. Bond order analysis in Hf-free case shows that lattice misfit has different effects on the Griffith work of interfacial cleavage 27int/E and the maximum theoretical shear stress Zmax of Ni and Ni3A1, contributing to the existence of anomalous strength-temperature phenomena in NiaA1 alloys. However, the addition of Hf will make the 27int/E （or Zmax） of both Ni3A1 and Ni decrease （or increase） with lattice misfit, indicating that the addition of Hf may make the anomalous strength-temperature relationship in Ni3A1 region disappear locally.

Based on the characteristics of graphite ore from Panzhihua district, the present research tried to find a new technology to increase the purity of the graphite carbon from 93% to 97%. Study was conducted on leaching agents, time, temperature, stirring speed and concentration of leaching solution affecting the process. The technological parameters chosen were： L / S=3：1, reaction time 30min, 5% concentration of sulfuric acid, reaction temperature 70℃, stirring speed 200rev/min. The results of the continuing tests with one kilogram showed that the graphite content can be increased from 93% to 97%, which reaches the requirement for high grade graphite. When waste acid from coke making is used to leach graphite, the result is also satisfactory, but the treatment of waste solution containing organic substances has to be further investigated.

The absence of efficient red-emitting micrometer-scale light emitting diodes(LEDs),i.e.,LEDs with lateral dimensions of 1μm or less is a major barrier to the adoption of microLEDs in virtual/augmented *** underlying challenges include the presence of extensive defects and dislocations for indium-rich InGaN quantum wells,strain-induced quantum-confined Stark effect,and etch-induced surface damage during the fabrication of quantum well ***,we demonstrate a new approach to achieve strong red emission(>620 nm)from dislocation-free N-polar InGaN/GaN nanowires that included an InGaN/GaN short-period superlattice underneath the active region to relax strain and incorporate more indium within the InGaN dot active *** resulting submicrometer-scale devices show red electroluminescence dominantly from an InGaN dot active region at low-to-moderate injection currents.A peak external quantum efficiency and a wall-plug efficiency of 2.2%and1.7%were measured,respectively,which,to the best of our knowledge,are the highest values reported for a submicrometer-scale red *** study offers a new path to overcome the efficiency bottleneck of red-emitting microLEDs for a broad range of applications including mobile displays,wearable electronics,biomedical sensing,ultrahigh speed optical interconnect,and virtual/augmented reality.

Gender discrimination has long been the problem that exists in the entire world,including ***,as more and more people are focusing on the general gender discrimination,the group recognized an extension of such discrimination-pregnancy discrimination in job hiring(the discrimination that women who are pregnant or have the inclination to pregnancy receive in hiring).The possible subtle pregnancy discrimination may be one of the main causes that lead to the declining fertility rate in *** group decided to conduct an experiment to determine whether women are receiving more subtle discrimination in job hiring due to their identity as mother than men with children,men without children,and women without *** the form of questionary and resumes,the team found that Chinese women are indeed enduring subtle discrimination in work *** experiment highlights the importance to promote further equality among ***,there are some confounding variables,like the level of patient of the HR who reads the resume,affecting the ultimate result of the ***:gender discrimination,women’s career,Chinese job market,pregnancy discrimination,fertility rate in China.

＜正＞MicroRNAs（miRNAs） are involved in the fine control of cell proliferation and differentiation during the development of the nervous ***-124,a neural specific miRNA,is expressed from the beginning of eye development in Xenopus and has been shown to repress cell proliferation in the optic ***,its role at earlier developmental stages is *** we show that miR-124 exerts a differential role in cell proliferation at the optic vesicle stage,the stage which precedes the optic cup *** show that miR-124 is both necessary and sufficient to promote cell proliferation and repress neurogenesis at the optic vesicle stage,playing an anti-neural role. Loss of miR-124 upregulates expression of neural markers NCAM,N-tubulin while gain of miR-124 downregulates these ***,miR-124 interacts with a conserved miR-124 binding site in the 3’UTR of NeuroD1 and negatively regulates expression of the proneural marker NeuroD1,a bHLH transcription factor for neuronal *** miR-124-induced effect on cell proliferation can be antagonized by *** results reveal a novel regulatory role of miR-124 in neural development and uncover a previously unknown interaction between NeuroD1 and miR-124.

In addition to liver injury, elevation of aminotransferases can be caused by strenuous exercise and use of muscle-building and weight-loss supplements. The purpose of this review is to discuss the various mechanisms of elevation of aminotrans-ferases related to body building. A literature review was performed on clinical trials and case reports involving exer-cise or supplement use and their effects on aminotrans-ferases. Normal aminotransferase levels varied according to gender, age, body mass index, and comorbidities. Strenuous exercise and weight lifting, especially in the unaccustomed, can cause elevated aminotransferases in the absence of liver damage. Supplements such as anabolic steroids, ephedra, and LipoKinetix, amongst others, have also been associated with aminotransferase elevations. The pattern of elevation of aminotransferases is not helpful in distinguishing liver from muscle injury. Other associated muscle enzymes can be useful in making that distinction. To prevent aminotransfer-ase elevations, subjects not accustomed to moderate-high intensity workouts, are recommended to undertake gradual increase in intensity. When causes of liver injury have been ruled out, investigation into bodybuilding, extreme exercise, and supplement use is warranted.

Progranulin(PGRN)has recently emerged as a key player in a subset of frontotemporal dementias(FTD).Numerous mutations in the progranulin gene have been identified in patients with familial or sporadic frontotemporal lobar degeneration(FTLD).In order to understand the molecular mechanisms by which PGRN deficiency leads to FTLD,we examined activity of PGRN in mouse cortical and hippocampal neurons and in human neuroblastoma SH-Sy5y *** of mouse neurons with PGRN protein resulted in an increase in neurite outgrowth,supporting the role of PGRN as a neurotrophic *** treatment stimulated phosphorylation of glycogen synthase kinase-3 beta(GSK-3β)in cultured *** of PGRN in SH-Sy5y cells impaired retinoic acid induced differentiation and reduced the level of phosphorylated GSK-3β.PGRN knockdown cells were also more sensitized to staurosporineinduced *** results reveal an important role of PGRN in neurite outgrowth and involvement of GSK-3βin mediating PGRN *** of GSK-3βactivation as a downstream event for PGRN signaling provides a mechanistic explanation for PGRN activity in the nervous *** work also suggest that loss of axonal growth stimulation during neural injury repair or deficits in axonal repair may contribute to neuronal damage or axonal loss in FTLD associated with PGRN ***,our study suggests that modulating GSK-3βor similar signaling events may provide therapeutic benefits for FTLD cases associated with PGRN mutations.
