Genesis and Geodynamic Significance of Chromitites from the Fuchuan Ophiolite,Southern China,as Evidenced by Trace Element Fingerprints of Chromite,Olivine and Pyroxene

The Fuchuan ophiolite is located in the northeasternmost segment of the Neoproterozoic Jiangnan orogen and consists mainly of harzburgites,with minor dunites,pyroxenite and gabbro veins and dykes.In order to investigate the genesis and tectonic setting of the Fuchuan ophiolite and chromitites,in situ analyses of unaltered chromites and silicates were carried out.Trace element analyses of unaltered chromites from the Fuchuan chromitites indicate the parental magma is of mid-ocean ridge basalt(MORB)-like origin,with the Ti/Fe^(3+#)–Ga/Fe^(3+#)diagram of chromites showing that the chromitites are a result of melt/rock interaction of MORB melts with mantle peridotites,and that the Fuchuan harzburgites present the dual features of MORB and supra-subduction zone peridotites(SSZP).Trace and rare earth element(REE)analyses of olivines and orthopyroxenes from the Fuchuan harzburgites hint at the possibility of mantle metasomatism influenced by SSZ-subducted fluids.Finally,integrating with previous study,the Fuchuan ophiolite and chromitites might have been formed in a back-arc spreading ridge between the Yangtze and Cathaysia blocks during the Neoproterozoic.

Due to the discrete feature and performance limitation of the numerical controller,the control period sometimes cannot meet the constraints of the scaled model in similitude analysis,which brings the control period mismatch problem.The traditional similitude analysis methods are not able to solve this problem since the controller is treated as continuous system in these methods.This paper proposes a modified similitude analysis method to solve the control period mismatch problem,and the electro-mechanical performances of a 2-DOF parallel manipulator is predicted.Based on the model of dynamic and control system,most of the similitude laws are derived by taking the controller as continuous system.Then the transfer function of the controller in discrete form is established,and the similitude law related to control period is derived to figure out the cause of mismatch problem.The modified method,named long period equivalent,is proposed to solve the mismatch problem by using the least square method and superposition principles.Finally,the scaled model of the parallel manipulator is determined based on the modified similitude analysis method.

With the advent of new technologies,China is faced with the practical need to enhance its international communication capacity and address reforms in the modes,content,and channels of international communication.Therefore,more efforts should be made to further enrich the participants in international communication by optimizing China’s four-level journalism communication system and crafting a“great external publicity pattern.”Guiding and promoting county-level convergence media centers to participate in international communication is conducive to promoting the building of a vertical international communication system and a multi-level integrated communication matrix and facilitating the resource alignment and information sharing between domestic and international communication.In practice,some county-level convergence media centers in China have achieved certain results in international communication.A good example is the Chengdu Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone(CDHT),a pioneer in the reform of Chinese county-level convergence media.Therefore,this paper has used CDHT as an example to discuss the reality and basic conditions for Chinese county-level convergence media centers to participate in international communication and put forward general paths for county-level convergence media centers to engage in international communication.

The recoil response of a deep-water drilling riser following an ED(Emergency Disconnection)scenario is a transient and sensitive process.The recoiling displacement of the riser is the resultant of recoil motion and axial stretch.How-ever,it is typically represented by one variable in recoil simulations.As axial deformation is quite small compared with axial motion in the recoil process,it inevitably introduces numerical errors(i.e.,a large number annihilating a small number).Thus,it is hard to perform a quantitative analysis of axial deformation,although a consensus initial deformation is essential for recoil dynamics.Moreover,the triggered axial natural modes have never been examined before.In this study,the recoil response is decomposed into two parts:recoil motion and axial deformation,and a novel model is developed by Galerkin method.It has demonstrated that the initial stretch has a significant effect at the initial stage in recoil.The existing models underestimate the effects of axial deformation.The new model can capture information of triggered natural modes and figure out the modes undergoing dynamic compression.This study can be beneficial to overpull setting,determination of ED time and anti-recoil control optimization.

Primary cilia are hair-like structures that protrude from the cell surface.They are capable of sensing external cues and conveying a vast array of signals into cells to regulate a variety of physiological activities.Mutations in cilium-associated genes are linked to a group of diseases with overlapping clinical manifestations,collectively known as ciliopathies.A significant proportion of human ciliopathy cases are accompanied by metabolic disorders such as obesity and type 2 diabetes.Nevertheless,the mechanisms through which dysfunction of primary cilia contributes to obesity are complex.In this review,we present an overview of primary cilia and highlight obesity-related ciliopathies.We also discuss the potential role of primary cilia in peripheral organs,with a focus on adipose tissues.In addition,we emphasize the significance of primary cilia in the central regulation of obesity,especially the involvement of ciliary signaling in the hypothalamic control of feeding behavior.This review therefore proposes a framework of both peripheral and central regulation of obesity by primary cilia,which may benefit further exploration of the ciliary role in metabolic regulation.

Three-dimensional (3D) scaffolds as powerful weapons for tumor immunotherapy

Though increasing understanding and remarkable clinical successes have been made, enormous challenges remain to be solved in the field of cancer immunotherapy. In this context, biomaterial-based immunomodulatory strategies are being developed to boost antitumor immunity. For the local immunotherapy, macroscale bioma-terial scaffolds with 3D network structures show great superiority in the following aspects: facilitating the encapsulation, localized delivery, and controlled release of immunotherapeutic agents and even immunocytes for more efficient immunomodulation. The concentrating immunomodulation in situ could minimize systemic tox-icities, but still exert abscopal effects to harness the power of overall anticancer immune response for eradicating malignancy. To promote such promising immunotherapies, the design requirements of macroscale 3D scaffolds should comprehensively consider their physicochemical and biological properties, such as porosity, stiffness, surface modification, cargo release kinetics, biocompatibility, biodegradability, and delivery modes. To date, increasing studies have focused on the relationships between these parameters and the biosystems which will guide/assist the 3D biomaterial scaffolds to achieve the desired immunotherapeutic outcomes. In this review, by highlighting some recent achievements, we summarized the latest advances in the development of various 3D scaffolds as niches for cancer immunotherapy. We also discussed opportunities, challenges, current trends, and future perspectives in 3D macroscale biomaterial scaffold-assisted local treatment strategies. More importantly, this review put more efforts to illustrate how the 3D biomaterial systems affect to modulate antitumor immune activities, where we discussed how significant the roles and behaviours of 3D macroscale scaffolds towards in situ cancer immunotherapy in order to direct the design of 3D immunotherapeutic.

Synthetic poly(amino acid)s with good biodegradable and biocompatible properties have attracted increased attention as carriers in biomedical applications in recent years,their synthesis and purification procedures are usually complicated and some by-products would occur yet.Given this,polypeptide with good biodegradable and biocompatible properties is prepared and optimized by one-step and direct synthesis strategy and poly(valine)(PVal)is selected here as a model polypeptide in this study.This newly generated PVal can self-assemble into poly(valine)nanoparticles(PVal-NPs)with a high drug-loading capacity(>20 wt%)of doxorubicin(DOX)and shows strong cytotoxicity against 4T1 cells.Upon cellular internalization,the release of DOX could be accelerated by the endosomal acidic environment which leads to enhanced anticancer effects.The results in vivo show that DOX@PVal-NPs have a long blood circulation time,high cancer accumulation and penetration,and good therapeutic performance in 4T1 tumor-bearing mice without causing obvious adverse effect on main organs.With these combined advantages,these PVal-based nanoplatform would provide an effective drug delivery tool for clinical breast cancer therapy.

Reforms in social governance are promoted by changes in social environments.Social governance models cannot be constant,and the rise of every innovative governance model is inseparable from an ever-changing society.The theoretical connotation of the collaborative innovation model in regional social governance is mainly reflected in its agents,actions,and processes.The fundamental requirements of the collaborative innovation model in regional social governance are de-administration and market-based.The key elements of the collaborative regional social governance model include:delegating power from central authorities,transferring selected social governance affairs,enhancing the development of governance capabilities in social governance agents,diversifying these agents by giving full play to the agency to strengthen the concept of collaborative governance for social governance agents,strengthening the establishment of the governance system,and ensuring the normal progress of the governance processes.The collaborative innovation model in regional social governance should be built in three aspects:a system of institutional norms,an evaluation indicator system,and law-based collaborative governance.

An anti-main-lobe jamming algorithm for airborne early warning radar based on APC-SVRGD joint optimization

Main lobe jamming seriously affects the detection performance of airborne early warning radar.The joint processing of polarization-space has become an effective way to suppress the main lobe jamming.To avoid the main beam distortion and wave crest migration caused by the main lobe jamming in adaptive beamforming,a joint optimization algorithm based on adaptive polarization canceller(APC)and stochastic variance reduction gradient descent(SVRGD)is proposed.First,the polarization plane array structure and receiving signal model based on primary and auxiliary array cancellation are established,and an APC iterative algorithm model is constructed to calculate the optimal weight vector of the auxiliary channel.Second,based on the stochastic gradient descent principle,the variance reduction method is introduced to modify the gradient through internal and external iteration to reduce the variance of the stochastic gradient estimation,the airspace optimal weight vector is calculated and the equivalent weight vector is introduced to measure the beamforming effect.Third,by setting up a planar polarization array simulation scene,the performance of the algorithm against the interference of the main lobe and the side lobe is analyzed,and the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified under the condition of short snapshot number and certain signal to interference plus noise ratio.
