Influence of pressure disturbance wave on dynamic response characteristics of liquid film seal for multiphase pump

Slug flow or high GVF(Gas Volume Fraction)conditions can cause pressure disturbance waves and alternating loads at the boundary of mechanical seals for multiphase pumps,endangering the safety of multiphase pump *** mechanical seal model is simplified by using periodic boundary conditions and numerical calculations are carried out based on the Zwart-Gerber-Belamri cavitation ***(User Define Function)programs such as structural dynamics equations,alternating load equations,and pressure disturbance equations are embedded in numerical calculations,and the dynamic response characteristics of mechanical seal are studied using layered dynamic mesh *** results show that when the pressure disturbance occurs at the inlet,as the amplitude and period of the disturbance increase,the film thickness gradually *** the fundamental reason for the hysteresis of the film thickness change is that the pressure in the high-pressure area cannot be restored in a timely *** maximum value of leakage and the minimum value of axial velocity are independent of the disturbance period and determined by the disturbance *** mutual interference between enhanced waves does not have a significant impact on the film thickness,while the front wave in the attenuated wave has a promoting effect on the subsequent film thickness changes,and the fluctuation of the liquid film cavitation rate and axial velocity under the attenuated wave condition deviates from the initial *** with pressure disturbance conditions,alternating load conditions have a more significant impact on film thickness and *** actual operation,it is necessary to avoid alternating load conditions in multiphase pump mechanical seals.

Soil phosphorus (P) plays a vital role in both ecological and agricultural ecosystems, where total P (TP) in soil serves as a crucial indicator of soil fertility and quality. Most of the studies covered in the literature employ a single or narrow range of soil databases, which largely overlooks the impact of utilizing multiple mapping scales in estimating soil TP, especially in hilly topographies. In this study, Fujian Province, a subtropical hilly region along China’s southeast coast covered by a complex topographic environment, was taken as a case study. The influence of the mapping scale on soil TP storage (TPS)estimation was analyzed using six digital soil databases that were derived from 3 082 unique soil profiles at different mapping scales, i.e., 1:50 000 (S5),1:200 000 (S20), 1:500 000 (S50), 1:1 000 000 (S100), 1:4 000 000 (S400), and 1:10 000 000 (S1000). The regional TPS in the surface soil (0–20 cm) based on the S5, S20, S50, S100, S400, and S1000 soil maps was 20.72, 22.17, 23.06, 23.05, 22.04, and 23.48 Tg, respectively, and the corresponding TPS at0–100 cm soil depth was 80.98, 80.71, 85.00, 84.03, 82.96, and 86.72 Tg, respectively. By comparing soil TPS in the S20 to S1000 maps to that in the S5map, the relative deviations were 6.37%–13.32%for 0–20 cm and 0.33%–7.09%for 0–100 cm. Moreover, since the S20 map had the lowest relative deviation among different mapping scales as compared to S5, it could provide additional soil information and a richer soil environment than other smaller mapping scales. Our results also revealed that many uncertainties in soil TPS estimation originated from the lack of detailed soil information, i.e., representation and spatial variations among different soil types. From the time and labor perspectives, our work provides useful guidelines to identify the appropriate mapping scale for estimating regional soil TPS in areas like Fujian Province in subtropical China or other places with similar complex topographies. Phenotypic diversity,especially that of facial morphology,has not been fully investigated in the Han Chinese,which is the largest ethnic group in the *** this study,we systematically analyzed a total of 14,838 facial traits representing 15 categories with both a large-scale three-dimensional(3D)manual landmarking database and computer-aided facial segmented phenotyping in 2379 Han Chinese *** results illustrate that homogeneous and heterogeneous facial morphological traits exist among Han Chinese populations across the three geographical regions:Zhengzhou,Taizhou,and *** identifed 1560 shared features from extracted phenotypes,which characterized well the basic facial morphology of the Han *** particular,heterogeneous phenotypes showing population structures corresponded to geographical *** greatest facial variation among these geographical populations was the angle of glabella,left subalare,and right cheilion(p=3.4×10^(−161)).Interestingly,we found that Han Chinese populations could be classifed into northern Han,central Han,and southern Han at the phenotypic level,and the facial morphological variation pattern of central Han Chinese was between the typical diferentiation of northern and southern Han *** result was highly consistent with the results revealed by the genetic *** fndings provide new insights into the analysis of multidimensional phenotypes as well as a valuable resource for further facial phenotype-genotype association studies in Han Chinese and East Asian populations.

The M6.2 earthquake in Jishishan,Gansu Province,on December 18,2023,caused extraordinary earthquake *** was located in the northern part of the north−south seismic zone,which is a key area for earthquake monitoring in *** newly built dense strong motion stations in this area provide unprecedented conditions for high-precision earthquake relocation,especially the earthquake focal *** paper uses the newly built strong motion and traditional broadband seismic networks to relocate the source locations of the M3.0 and above aftershocks and to invert their focal *** horizontal error of earthquake location is estimated to be 0.5−1 km,and the vertical error is 1−2 *** focal depth range of aftershocks is 9.6−14.6 km,distributed in a 12-km-long strip with SSE *** in the south are more concentrated horizontally and vertically,while aftershocks in the north are more *** focal mechanisms of the main shock and aftershocks are relatively consistent,and the P-axis orientation is consistent with the regional strain *** is a seismic blank area of M3.0 and above,about 3−5 km between the main shock and *** is suggested that the energy released by the main shock rupture is concentrated in this *** on the earthquake location and focal mechanism of the main shock,it is inferred that the Northern Lajishan fault zone is the seismogenic structure of the main shock,and the main shock did not occur on the main fault,but on a secondary *** initial rupture depth and centroid depth of the main shock were 12.8 and 14.0 km,*** source rupture depth may not be the main reason for the severe earthquake disaster.
