Bioactive biodegradable polycitrate nanoclusters enhances the myoblast differentiation and in vivo skeletal muscle regeneration via p38 MAPK signaling pathway

Complete skeletal muscle repair and regeneration due to severe large injury or disease is still a *** cues are critical to control myoblast cell function and can be utilized to develop smart biomaterials for skeletal muscle *** acid-based biodegradable polymers have received much attention on tissue engineering,however,their regulation on myoblast cell differentiation and mechanism was few ***,we find that citrate-based polycitrate-polyethylene glycol-polyethylenimine(POCG-PEI600)nanoclusters can significantly enhance the in vitro myoblast proliferation by probably reinforcing the mitochondrial number,promote the myotube formation and full-thickness skeletal muscle regeneration in vivo by activating the myogenic biomarker genes expression of Myod and ***-PEI600 nanoclusters could also promote the phosphorylation of p38 in MAP kinases(MAPK)signaling pathway,which led to the promotion of the myoblast *** in vivo skeletal muscle loss rat model also confirmed that POCG-PEI600 nanoclusters could significantly improve the angiogenesis,myofibers formation and complete skeletal muscle ***-PEI600 nanocluster could be also biodegraded into small molecules and eliminated in vivo,suggesting their high biocompatibility and *** study could provide a bioactive biomaterial-based strategy to repair and regenerate skeletal muscle tissue.

Searching for visible-infrared solar utilization for photocatalytic water splitting is highly desirable,since most of solar energy is distributed the visible-infrared ***,it is difficult for a pure system to satisfy both band gap and band edge conditions for water splitting in visible-infrared ***,heterostructure consisting of Janus MoSSe and nitrides XN (X=Al,Ga) is proposed,and the structural and electronic properties are systematically studied by the firstprinciples *** shows that the AA-stacking heterostructure is more stable than other *** calculated electronic property shows that MoSSe/AIN heterostructures have indirect band gaps in the range of 1.00eV-1.68eV,while MoSSe/GaN heterostructures are always direct semiconductors with band gaps of0.8 eV-1.51 ***,despite the band gaps of MoSSe/XN heterostructures being smaller than 1.23 eV,the band edge positions are always suitable for water splitting,suggesting good activity of these heterostructures in visible-infrared *** special behavior mainly originates from the intrinsic dipole with the electrons of VBM and CBM distributed on two opposite layers,producing an electrostatic potential difference between the *** electrostatic potential difference,acting as an auxiliary booster for photoinduced carriers,can effectively reduce the band gap required for water splitting in visible-infrared *** addition,the band edge position can be further adjusted by strains,leading to higher reactivity for water *** findings strongly suggest that this novel Janus MoSSe/XN heterostructure can offer exciting opportunities for designing visible-infrared photocatalysis for water splitting.

he reaction of (2, 4-C_7H_11)_3Nd with HC=CC_6H_5 in toluene leads to [(2, 4-C_7H_11)_2NdC = CC_6H_5]_2 , which crystallizes in the space group P_cab with unit cell pa-rameters a=1 . 0489 (11), b=1.8033 (12), c=2. 1064 (15)nm and Z=4 , least-squares refinement based on 2323 observed reflections converged to a final R valueof 0. 08. The molecular structure shows that the complex is a dimer, in which two(2,4-C_7H_11)_2Nd units are connected by asymmetrical alkynide bridges with indepen-dent Nd-C(alkynide) bond lengths of 0. 2552(25)and 0. 2560(24)nm, Nd-C=C angles of 124. 1(17)° and 134. 2(17)°.

The Mg MB26/Al 7075 composite rod,in which Mg MB26 serves as the sleeve and Al 7075 serves as the core,is fabricated via the process of *** influence of extrusion speed on the microstructure evolution,interface bonding and mechanical response of the Mg MB26/Al 7075 composite rod is *** results show that the typical extrusion texture of Mg sleeve does not change during co-extrusion;however,the average grain size in the Mg sleeve slightly changes from 1.57 lm in the case of extrusion speed of 0.3 mm/s to 2.78 lm in the case of extrusion speed of2.1 mm/*** thickness of interface transition layer increases significantly from 5.5 to 50 lm,and therefore,the interface bonding becomes deteriorative with increasing extrusion speed;in particular,many cavities emerge in the case of 1.2 and2.1 mm/s.

A cross-sectional study was conducted to estimate the age-stratified normal levels and age-related changes in the risk predictors of benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)progression.A total of 4706 male participants aged 40 years or older in Zhengzhou(China)were *** values of the International Prostate Symptom Score(IPSS),prostate-specific antigen(PSA),prostate volume(PV),and postvoid residual urine volume(PVR)significantly increased with *** relationships between age and IPSS scores≥8(P for nonlinearity=0.046),PSA level≥1.6 ng ml^(-1),PV≥31 ml,or PVR≥39 ml(all P for nonlinearityge of 61 years,the risk indicators related to BPH progression were positively correlated with age(odds ratio[OR]>1),regardless of the predictors of the IPSS score,PSA level,PV,or PVR;and the OR values increased ***,after the age of 61 years,the risk predictors related to BPH progression were positively correlated with age.

BACKGROUND Osteoarthritis(OA)is the most prevalent form of degenerative whole-joint *** the final option of knee replacement,arthroscopic surgery was the most widely used joint-preserving surgical *** regenerative therapies,such as those involving platelet-rich plasma,mesenchymal stem cells,and microfragmented adipose tissue(MFAT),have been pushed to the forefront of treatment to prevent the progression of ***,MFAT has been successfully applied to treat different types of orthopedic *** To assess the efficacy and safety of MFAT with arthroscopic surgery in patients with knee OA(KOA).METHODS A randomized,multicenter study was conducted between June 2017 and November 2022 in 10 hospitals in Zhejiang,***,302 patients diagnosed with KOA(Kellgren-Lawrence grades 2-3)were randomized to the MFAT group(n=151,were administered MFAT following arthroscopic surgery),or the control group(n=151,were administered hyaluronic acid following arthroscopic surgery).The study outcomes were changes in the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC)score,the visual analog scale(VAS)score,the Lequesne index score,the Whole-Organ Magnetic Resonance Imaging Score(WORMS),and safety over a 24-mo period from *** The changes in the WOMAC score(including the three subscale scores),VAS pain score,and Lequesne index score at the 24-mo mark were significantly different in the MFAT and control groups,as well as when comparing values at the posttreatment visit and those at baseline(P<0.001).The MFAT group consistently demonstrated significant decreases in the WOMAC pain scores and VAS scores at all follow-ups compared to the control group(P<0.05).Furthermore,the WOMAC stiffness score,WOMAC function score,and Lequesne index score differed significantly between the groups at 12 and 24 mo(P<0.05).However,no signicant between-group differences were observed in the WORMS at 24 mo(P=0.367).No serious adverse events

In this study,we constructed two annular detector arrays comprising 24 wedge-shaped CsI(Tl) crystals,and tested them using anαsource and radioactive beams of ^(14-16) Con a CD_2 *** compared the properties of a CsI(Tl) crystal encapsulated with various reflectors,revealing that using the 80-μm-thick ESR film to pack the CsI(Tl) crystal yielded the largest light output with the smallest non-uniformity in light output (ΔLO).For the 24 CsI(Tl) detectors with the 80-μm-thick ESR films,the average energy resolution improved as the average light output increased;however,it deteriorated as theΔLO value *** form two annular Si-CsI(Tl) telescopes for identifying the light-charged particles,theΔLO value and energy resolution of each CsI(Tl) detector were maintained under 20%and 7.7%,*** telescopes were tested for the first time in a direct nuclear reaction experiment using ^(14-16) C+*** results demonstrated that the Z=1 and Z=2 charged particles were adequately discriminated by the telescopes using the standardΔE-E method.

Single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNP） of chicken gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor （GnRHR） and neuropeptide Y （NPY） were selected to identify the genotypes of wenchang （Chinese indigenous breed） chicken with restricton fragment length polymorphisms. The associations of the SNPs with the total egg production （NE）, average days of continual laying （ADCL）, and number of double-yolked eggs （DYE） traits were analyzed. The frequency of restriction enzyme A/a alleles in the population was for GnRHR 0.69 （Bpu1102 Ⅰ A） and 0.31 （Bpu1102 Ⅰ a） and for NPY 0.46 （Dra Ⅰ B） and 0.54 （Dra Ⅰ b）. Trait data from a total of 120 hens, which were purebred introduced from Hainan Province, China from one generation were recorded. Two significant effects of genes＇ marker were found： for GnRHR and number of eggs （dominant; t= 2.67, df= 116） and NPY and number of eggs （additive; t= 1.97, df= 116）. The current research supports the effects of GnRHR and NPY genes on egg-laying traits of chickens.
