A gecko＇s habitat possesses a wide range of climbing slopes that pose a number of postural challenges for climbing lo- comotion. Few studies have examined the relationship between the lateral bending of the trunk of a gecko and other aspects of locomotion when climbing. In this paper, three-dimensional reaction forces and high-speed videos of Gekko geckos moving on different slopes are used to reveal how the lateral bending of the animal＇s trunk responds to changing slopes. The results of such observations indicate that the minimum bending radius continually decreases with an increase in the slope, illustrating that the degree of bending of the trunk becomes significantly greater. Moreover, a lateral bending mechanical model is used to show the interrelation between the lateral bending in the frontal plane and the sagittal deformation of the trunk caused by gravity. Taken together, these results have advanced our understanding of the role of lateral bending of vertebrates when climbing on a slope.

Guan River Estuary and adjacent coastal area(GREC) suffer from serious pollution and eutrophicational problems over the recent ***,reducing the land-based load through the national pollutant total load control program and developing hydrodynamic and water quality models that can simulate the complex circulation and water quality kinetics within the system,including longitudinal and lateral variations in nutrient and COD concentrations,is a matter of *** this study,a three-dimensional,hydrodynamic,water quality model was developed in GREC,Northern Jiangsu *** complex three-dimensional hydrodynamics of GREC were modeled using the unstructured-grid,finite-volume,free-surface,primitive equation coastal ocean circulation model(FVCOM).The water quality model was adapted from the mesocosm nutrients dynamic model in the south Yellow Sea and considers eight compartments:dissolved inorganic nitrogen,soluble reactive phosphorus(SRP),phytoplankton,zooplankton,detritus,dissolved organic nitrogen(DON),dissolved organic phosphorus(DOP),and chemical oxygen *** hydrodynamic and water quality models were calibrated and confirmed for 2012 and 2013.A comparison of the model simulations with extensive dataset shows that the models accurately simulate the longitudinal distribution of the hydrodynamics and water *** model can be used for total load control management to improve water quality in this area.

应用生命周期评价法(LCA)对条斑紫菜养殖加工行业进行了全周期的碳足迹分析,明确了各环节中碳排放源的种类和数量。结果表明,100亩条斑紫菜养殖加工过程中碳排放总量为1.25×10^(5)~2.47×10^(5) kg CO_(2),远高于条斑紫菜100亩养殖形成的可移出碳汇量(9.43×10^(3) kg CO_(2))。基于全产业链的分析,条斑紫菜产业尚不是一个碳汇产业。养殖阶段碳排放量最大,排放源主要来自石油化工材料的大量使用。二次加工阶段碳排放量仅次于养殖阶段,排放源主要来自纸壳包装和塑料包装的大量使用。在一次加工阶段,热源的使用是影响该阶段碳排放的主要影响因素,生物质燃料是碳排放量最低的热源形式。

Geckos can efficiently navigate complex terrains due to their multi-level adhesive system that is present on their *** setae are responsible for the gecko’s extraordinary adhesion and have garnered wide attention from the scientific *** majority of the reported works in the literature that have dealt with the peeling models mainly focus on the gecko hierarchical adhesive system,with limited attention given to investigating the influence of gecko toe structure on the *** these lines,to gain a deeper understanding of the rapid and effortless detachment abilities of gecko toes,the peeling behavior of gecko toes on vertical surfaces was primarily investigated in this *** specifically,the detachment time of a single toe on a smooth acrylic plate was measured to be 0.41±0.21 ***,it was observed that the toe assumed a"U"-shaped structure upon complete ***,Finite Element Analysis(FEA)models for three different types of gecko toes were developed to simulate both the displacement-peel and the moment-peel *** the segmentation of the adhesive layer led to a gradual decrease in the resultant force,as well as the normal and tangential ***,a gecko-inspired toe model was constructed and powered by Shape Memory Alloy(SMA).A systematic comparison between the vertical drag separation and the outward flip separation was also *** our analysis,it was clearly demonstrated that outward peel separation significantly necessitated the reduction of the peeling force,thus confirming the advantageous nature of the outward motion in gecko toe *** data not only contribute to a deeper understanding of the gecko detachment behavior but also offer valuable insights for the advancement of the wall-climbing robot feet.

Asia stands out as a priority for urgent biodiversity conservation due to its large protected areas(PAs)and threatened *** the 21st century,both the highlands and lowlands of Asia have been experiencing the dramatic human ***,the threat degree of human expansion to biodiversity is poorly ***,the threat degree of human expansion to biodiversity over 2000 to 2020 in Asia at the continental(Asia),national(48 Asian countries),and hotspot(6,502 Asian terrestrial PAs established before 2000)scales is investigated by integrating multiple large-scale *** results show that human expansion poses widespread threat to biodiversity in Asia,especially in Southeast Asia,with Malaysia,Cambodia,and Vietnam having the largest threat degrees(~1.5 to 1.7 times of the Asian average level).Human expansion in highlands induces higher threats to biodiversity than that in lowlands in one-third Asian countries(most Southeast Asian countries).The regions with threats to biodiversity are present in~75%terrestrial PAs(including 4,866 PAs in 26 countries),and human expansion in PAs triggers higher threat degrees to biodiversity than that in *** findings provide novel insight for the Sustainable Development Goal 15(SDG-15 Life on Land)and suggest that human expansion in Southeast Asian countries and PAs might hinder the realization of *** reduce the threat degree,Asian developing countries should accelerate economic transformation,and the developed countries in the world should reduce the demands for commodity trade in Southeast Asian countries(i.e.,trade leading to the loss of wildlife habitats)to alleviate human expansion,especially in PAs and highlands.

胃黏膜相关淋巴样组织(MALT)淋巴瘤为原发性胃淋巴瘤的主要类型,早期诊断困难,误诊率高。随着各种光学内镜的问世以及内镜技术的发展,普通内镜下的肿瘤大体分型、放大内镜联合窄带成像术显示血管和微结构的改变、内镜超声在临床分期中的应用以及细胞内镜下的实时黏膜层细胞描述为胃MALT淋巴瘤的诊断提供了重要证据。随着对幽门螺杆菌(Hp)在胃MALT淋巴瘤中致病作用的证实,根除Hp成为治疗的首要方案,治疗后的内镜随访对监测疾病复发具有重要作用。本文就胃MALT内镜诊治进展作一综述。

A metamaterial vibration isolator,termed as wave-insulating isolator,is proposed,which preserves enough load-bearing capability and offers ultra-low and broad bandgaps for greatly enhanced wave *** consists of plate-shaped metacells,whose symmetric and antisymmetric local resonant modes offer several low and broad mode bandgaps although the complete bandgap remains high and *** bandgap mechanisms,vibration isolation properties,effects of key parameters,and robustness to complex conditions are *** experimentally demonstrated,the wave-insulating isolator can improve the vibration insulation in the ranges of[50 Hz,180 Hz]and[260 Hz,400 Hz]by 15 dB and 25 dB,respectively,in contrast to the conventional isolator with the same first resonant frequency.

OBJECTIVE To investigate whether gastrodin(GAS) plays a neuroprotective role by activating PI3K/Akt/BACH1 signaling axis to improve glycolytic function. METHODS HT22 cells were treated with Aβ25-35for24 h to establish cell damage model. GAS pretreated HT22 cells for 2 h, and Akt agonist SC79, Akt inhibitor MK2206, PI3K inhibitor LY294002 were added 0.5 h before GAS treatment to detect their protective mechanisms. Pharmacodynamic research of GAS in this model were divided into six groups: control group, GAS group(GAS 10 μmol·L-1), model group(Aβ25-3520 μmol·L-1),model +GAS 2.5, 5 and 10 μ mol·L-1group). Mechanism research of GAS in this model was divided into 6groups: control group, Aβ25-3520 μmol· L-1group, Aβ25-3520 μmol·L-1+ GAS 10 μmol·L-1group, Aβ25-35+ SC79group(Aβ25-3520 μmol·L-1+SC79 10 μmol·L-1), Aβ25-35+MK2206+GAS group(A β25-3520 μ mol·L-1+MK220610 μmol·L-1+GAS 10 μmol·L-1), Aβ25-35+LY294002+GAS group(Aβ25-3520 μmol·L-1+LY294002 10 μmol·L-1+GAS10 μmol·L-1). Cell viability was detected by MTT, morphological changes of cells were observed by microscope, ATP content was detected by chemiluminescence, and pyruvate(PA) content was detected by colorimetry. Western blotting was used to detect the protein levels of transcription factor BACH1, key glycolysis enzyme hexokinase(HK1) and PI3K/Akt signaling pathway related proteins PI3K, p-PI3K, Akt and *** The results showed that compared with the control group, the cell morphology of HT22 cells damaged by Aβ25-35was damaged, the number of cells decreased,the cell body became smaller, the number of dead cells increased, the cell survival rate, ATP and PA contents decreased significantly, and the protein expressions of pPI3K, p-Akt, BACH1 and HK1 were significantly downregulated.
