Protection of Metasequoia glyptostroboides Hu et Cheng in China

Metasequoia （Metasequoia glyptostroboides Hu et Cheng） is an important but endangered tree species. In a sense, the course of protection of the metasequoia can be considered a miniature of the history of the protection of rare Chinese plants over the past 50 years. The approval and establishment of the National Class Nature Reserve for metasequoia is a milestone in this course. A thorough understanding of this course is beneficial to design the correct future protection plans and for taking effective measures. In this paper the entire protection course of metasequoia is reviewed, three detailed measures are proposed according to the present situation and existing problems and discussed as follows. 1） We should reinforce unceasingly the establishment of National Nature Reserves of metasequoia, put emphasis on the protection of the original natural mother trees （ONMTs） of metasequoia, design far- sighted projects to protect the ONMTs and strictly implement and enforce the regulations or laws regarding the protection of meta- sequoia. The establishment and functions of the organization should meet the demands of protecting the ONMTs and developing metasequoias. The budget should support and the quality of the personnel assigned to this task should satisfy the protection and de- velopment of the ONMTs. We should also promote the complete protection of the ONMTs at the same time and strengthen the pro- tection and restoration of the ONMTs and their ecosystem in the xiaohe valley, Lichuan County, Hubei Province, one of the natural concentration areas of ONMTs in the world. 2） A gene bank should be established for comprehensive protection of the genes of ex- isting original mother trees of metasequoia. 3） The key is to study the theoretical fundamentals of restoration and re-establishment of natural vegetation of metasequoia in the xiaohe valley to harmonize the relation among environmental departments, forestry sectors, academies of sciences and other educational or resea

Prescribed Performance Tracking Control of Time-Delay Nonlinear Systems With Output Constraints

The problem of prescribed performance tracking control for unknown time-delay nonlinear systems subject to output constraints is dealt with in this paper. In contrast with related works, only the most fundamental requirements, i.e., boundedness and the local Lipschitz condition, are assumed for the allowable time delays. Moreover, we focus on the case where the reference is unknown beforehand, which renders the standard prescribed performance control designs under output constraints infeasible. To conquer these challenges, a novel robust prescribed performance control approach is put forward in this ***, a reverse tuning function is skillfully constructed and automatically generates a performance envelop for the tracking error. In addition, a unified performance analysis framework based on proof by contradiction and the barrier function is established to reveal the inherent robustness of the control system against the time delays. It turns out that the system output tracks the reference with a preassigned settling time and good accuracy,without constraint violations. A comparative simulation on a two-stage chemical reactor is carried out to illustrate the above theoretical findings.

Cushioning Performance of a Novel Polyurethane Foam Material Applied in Fragile Packaging

For fragile products,packaging requires cushioning protection to prevent irreversible damage from accidental falls,transportation impacts,and other *** new polyurethane foam(PUF)material demonstrates superior cushioning and vibration isolation performance in practical applications,effectively minimizing damage from *** and vibration experiments were conducted on packages comprising novel PUF,expandable polyethylene,ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer foam,and *** verify that the new PUF material outperforms in cushioning and vibration isolation,as observed from the acceleration ***,a random vibration analysis of a packaging unit involving different thicknesses of PUF materials and bracelets reveals the enhanced vibration isolation effect within a specific thickness *** vibration results of the bracelet’s outer packaging align closely with finite element simulation results,validating the effectiveness of designing and optimizing the outer *** finite element simulation,deeper understanding and prediction of the bracelet’s vibration response under various conditions is achieved,facilitating optimized packaging design for better protection and vibration damping.

Antimony-based materials with high capacities and moderate potentials are promising anodes for lithium-/-sodium-ion ***,their tremendous volume expansion and inferior conductivity lead to poor structural stability and sluggish reaction ***,a doubleconfined nanoheterostructure Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@C has been fabricated through a solvothermal method followed by low-temperature heat *** dual protection of“MXene”and“carbon”can better accommodate the volume expansion of Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3).The strong covalent bond(Ti-S,Ti-O-Sb,C-O-Sb)can firmly integrate Sb-based material with Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and carbon,which significantly improves the structure *** addition,the carbon layer can restrain the oxidation of MXenes,and the nano-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)can facilitate electron/ion transport and suppress the restacking of *** heterogeneous interface between Sb and Sb_(2)S_(3)can further promote interfacial charge *** MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1 with the optimal Sb content shows high specific capacities,comparable rate properties and ultra-stable cycling performances(250 m Ah·g^(-1)after 2500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)for sodium-ion batteries).Ex situ X-ray diffractometer(XRD)test reveals the storage mechanism including the conversion and alloying process of MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@*** voltammetry(CV)test results demonstrate that the pseudocapacitance behavior is dominant in MXene-Sb/Sb_(2)S_(3)@C-1,especially at large *** design paves the way for exploring high-performance alloy-based/conversion-type anode for energy storage devices.

In this paper,an accelerated proximal gradient algorithm is proposed for Hankel tensor completion *** our method,the iterative completion tensors generated by the new algorithm keep Hankel structure based on projection on the Hankel tensor ***,due to the special properties of Hankel structure,using the fast singular value thresholding operator of the mode-s unfolding of a Hankel tensor can decrease the computational ***,the convergence of the new algorithm is discussed under some reasonable ***,the numerical experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Laparoscopic partial splenectomy in the treatment of splenic ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy that occurred outside the uterus,usually in the fallopian tube,followed by other abdominal *** pregnancy could not develop normally to term and requires sufficient evaluation and intervention with medication or surgery in most cases(1).As a rare form of abdominal pregnancy(2),splenic ectopic pregnancy could be treated by drug treatment(3)or surgical interventions,including laparotomy and laparoscopy,which focused on total splenectomy(4,5).A previous study(6)indicated that laparoscopic partial splenectomy for selected patients was safe and *** to the fragile texture of the spleen,the suture method during laparoscopic partial splenectomy was technically demanding since it might encounter higher risk of splenic vascular hemorrhage than total ***,few reports focused on the treatment of splenic ectopic pregnancy via laparoscopic partial splenectomy(7).In order to avoid the potential severe complications such as hemoperitoneum(8)caused by drug treatment alone,and to avert impaired hematopoietic and immune function caused by total splenectomy,we herein presented a case(Video 1)of a 30-year-old woman(gravida 2,para 1)undergoing laparoscopic partial splenectomy performed by hepatobiliary surgeons to treat splenic ectopic pregnancy.

Genetic Analysis of Two Novel GPI Variants Disrupting H Bonds and Localization Characteristics of 55 Gene Variants Associated with Glucose-6-phosphate Isomerase Deficiency

Objective:Glucose-6-phosphate isomerase(GPI)deficiency is a rare hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia caused by GPI gene *** disorder exhibits wide heterogeneity in its clinical manifestations and molecular characteristics,often posing challenges for precise diagnoses using conventional *** this end,this study aimed to identify the novel variants responsible for GPI deficiency in a Chinese ***:The clinical manifestations of the patient were summarized and analyzed for GPI deficiency phenotype *** compound heterozygous variants of the GPI gene,c.174C>A(***58Lys)and c.1538G>T(***513Leu),were identified using whole-exome and Sanger *** AlphaFold program and Chimera software were used to analyze the effects of compound heterozygous variants on GPI ***:By characterizing 53 GPI missense/nonsense variants from previous literature and two novel missense variants identified in this study,we found that most variants were located in exons 3,4,12,and 18,with a few localized in exons 8,9,and *** study identified novel compound heterozygous variants associated with GPI *** pathogenic variants disrupt hydrogen bonds formed by highly conserved GPI amino ***:Early family-based sequencing analyses,especially for patients with congenital anemia,can help increase diagnostic accuracy for GPI deficiency,improve child healthcare,and enable genetic counseling.

Inhibiting plastic tensile instability of non-symmetric thin-walled shell component via increasing regional metal inflow based on heterogeneous pressure-carrying medium

Heterogeneous pressure-carrying medium was employed to establish a differentiated pressure field on sheet metal in flexible die forming process in this work,which aimed at matching the non-symmetric shape of target component and improving metal inflow to avoid local tensile ***,metal inflow corresponding to the differentiated pressure field was analytically *** of a typical non-symmetric shell component was experimentally and numerically studied based on the proposed *** with forming processes based on the uniform pressure,difference of metal inflow in two sides of the non-symmetric component increased from 2.16 mm to 3.36 mm and metal inflow in critical region increased by 11.9%when differentiated pressure field(taking heterogeneous elastomer#4–3 for example)was *** resultant maximum thinning ratio decreased by 4.2% and the uniformity of shell thickness increased by 16.9%.With the decrease of Shore hardness of elastomer in the formed region,stress path in the ready-to-form region transferred towards the bi-axial tension stress state,i.e.,stress ratio(a)***,stress triaxiality(η)in characteristic regions were regulated appropriately,which decreased the risk of tensile *** was attributed to the decreased normal pressure and frictional resistance at sheet/elastomer interface in the formed region.
