Phospholipase Dα（PLDα） is involved in plant response to salt stress,but the mechanisms remain unclear. We investigated rice PLDα（OsPLDa） localization and its effect on tonoplast（TP） and plasma membrane （PM） H^＋ -ATPase activity and transcription in response to *** rice suspension-cultured cells were treated with 100 mM NaCI,PLDa activity in cell extracts showed a transient activation with a threefold increase at 1 *** amount of OsPLDαprotein decreased slightly in the cytosolic fractions,whereas it increased significantly in the TP after NaCI ***α1 knockdown cells were developed using RNA interference（RNAi） *** increase in TP and PM H -ATPase activity induced by NaCI was significantly inhibited in OsPLDα1-RNAi *** of OsPLDα1 prevented the NaCI-induced increase in the transcript level of OsVHA-A（encodes TP H^＋-ATPase） and OSA2（encodes PM H^＋-ATPase）, as well as OsNHX1（encodes TP Na^＋ /H^＋ antiporter）.The cells died more in OsPLDα1-RNAi mutant than in wild type when they were treated with *** results suggest that OsPLDαis involved in salt tolerance in rice through the mediation of H^＋ -ATPase activity and transcription.

A series of novel tetrahydro-4H-pyrano[3,2-c]pyridines（3a-3p） were synthesized and found to possess potent antiproliferative activity against leukemia K562 cells in vitro. Preliminary bioassay indicates that compounds 3a and 3e afford the best activity, the IC50 values of them were 6.93 and 7.51μg/mL, respectively, which were lower than that of the anticancer drug 5-FU（1C50=8.56μg/mL）. To reduce the toxicity of compounds 3a-3p to the prolife- ration of normal bematopoietic cells, a tumor targeted CD14 monoclonal antibody（McAb） was used in conjugation with compounds 3a--3p to get conjugates 4a--4p, respectively. The inhibitory activities of conjugates 4a--4p toward K562 cells were discovered to approach those of compounds 3a--3p. In the presence of CD14 McAb, tumor cells were found to be much more susceptible to conjugates 3a--3p than normal hematopoietic cells. Therefore, the toxicity of conjugates 4a--4p to normal hematopoietic cells declined obviously. For example, as for the toxicity of compound 3a compared with that of compound 4a, the value of ICs0 increased from 35.90 μmol/L to 39.52 μmol/L.

Three kinds of soil texture （clay-loam, mid-loam, and sand-loam soil） were used to study the effects of soil texture on starch accumulating rate and the changes in activities of the key enzymes of starch synthesis in the kernel during grain filling in high gluten content wheat ZM 9023, under conditions of pond culture. The content of starch and its components were measured according to the method of double-wave length described by Bao （1996）. ADP-glucose pyrophosphorylase （AGPP） activity was tested according to the method described by Doehlert et al. （1988）. Soluble starch synthase （SSS） and starch branching enzyme （SBE） activities were tested according to the method described by Nakamura et al. （1989）. The amylose, amylopectin, and total starch accumulating rate in the kernel of ZM 9023 were found to be a single-peak curve in three different soil textures during grain filling, and peaked 20, 15, and 15 d after anthesis, respectively. The activities of the enzymes, AGPP, SSS, and SBE, in the kernel of ZM 9023 had a single-peaked curve, which peaked 20, 15, and 15 d after anthesis, respectively. The activities of the above three enzymes of ZM 9023 were higher in the sand-loam soil. The accumulating peak of amylose formed later compared to that of amylopectin. The sand-loam soil could help high gluten content cultivars to synthesize starch.

Understanding the spatial distribution of the crop yield gap(YG)is essential for improving crop *** studies have typically focused on the site scale,which may lead to considerable uncertainties when scaled to the regional *** mitigate this issue,this study used a process-based and remote sensing driven crop yield model for winter wheat(PRYM-Wheat),which was derived from the boreal ecosystem productivity simulator(BEPS),to simulate the YG of winter wheat in the North China Plain from 2015 to *** validation based on statistical yield data revealed good performance of the PRYM-Wheat Model in simulating winter wheat actual yield(Ya).The distribution of Ya across the North China Plain showed great heterogeneity,decreasing from southeast to *** remote sensing-estimated results show that the average YG of the study area was 6400.6 kg ha^(–1).The YG of Jiangsu Province was the largest,at7307.4 kg ha^(–1),while the YG of Anhui Province was the smallest,at 5842.1 kg ha^(–1).An analysis of the responses of YG to environmental factors showed no obvious correlation between YG and precipitation,but there was a weak negative correlation between YG and accumulated *** addition,the YG was positively correlated with *** general,studying the specific features of the YG can provide directions for increasing crop yields in the future.

A Novel Method of Recycling CO_2 for Slag Splashing in Converter

Converter off-gas, an important energy resource for steel industries, is one of the weak points in the recov ery and utilization of secondary energy resources. To improve the level of recycling converter off-gas in steel plants, a novel approach to the recycle of CO2 separated from converter off-gas or other off-gas for the green slag splashing technique was developed, and the CO2 equilibrium conversion ratio of the green CO2 slag splashing under different technological conditions was calculated by the program of enthalpy （H）, entropy （S）, and heat capacity （C）, i.e. HSC software. Furthermore, the experiments of CO2 injected into molten converter slag were carried out, and the influencing factors of the green slag splashing technique using CO2 were analyzed. The experimental results showed that the carbon content for smooth slag splashing using COs was about 4.0%.

ObjectiveTo evaluate the benefit-risk of 3 commonly used Chinese medicine injections, Aidi Injection (ADI), Cinobufagin Injection (CINI) and Compound Kushen Injection (CKI), in the treatment of primary liver cancer (PLC), so as to provide a reference for clinical *** controlled trials (RCTs) of ADI, CINI and CKI in the treatment of PLC published in the databases of China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang, China Science and Technology Journal Database, SinoMed, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science were retrieved from January 2020 to October 2022. The data of benefit and risk indicators were combined to obtain the effect value. The multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) model was applied to build the decision tree. The benefit value, risk value and benefit risk value of the 3 injections in PLC treatment were calculated. Monte Carlo simulation was carried out to calculate the 95% confidence interval and probability of differences among the 3 injections, so as to optimize the evaluation *** total of 71 RCTs were included. The benefit values of ADI, CINI and CKI combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) were 42, 38 and 36, respectively. The risk values were 42, 25 and 37, respectively. The benefit risk values were 42, 31 and 37, respectively. The benefit risk differences of ADI vs. CINI, ADI vs. CKI, and CKI vs. CINI were 11 (−0.86, 17.75), 5 (−5.01, 11.09), and 6 (−1.87, 12.63), respectively. The probability that ADI superior to CINI, ADI superior to CKI, and CKI superior to CINI was 96.26%, 77.27%, and 92.62%, *** on the results of MCDA model, CINI combined with TACE has the greatest risk in the treatment of the PLC. Considering the efficacy and safety, the possible priority of the 3 Chinese medicine injections combined with TACE in the treatment of PLC is ADI, CKI and CINI.

As a typical heavy metal contaminant in food,cadmium(Cd)easily enters the human food chain via crop production,and therefore,threatens human health[1].Intestinal absorption is the principal route for Cd entry into the body,and therefore,intestinal tissue become the primary target for Cd toxicity[2].Previous studies showed that acute Cd exposure damaged intestinal tight junctions,resulting in gut barrier destruction and alterations in gut microbiota[3].Thus,the effective prevention of Cd-induced intestinal damage has become a major research challenge.

Accurate estimation of regional winter wheat yields is essential for understanding the food production status and ensuring national food ***,using the existing remote sensing-based crop yield models to accurately reproduce the inter-annual and spatial variations in winter wheat yields remains challenging due to the limited ability to acquire irrigation information in water-limited ***,we proposed a new approach to approximating irrigations of winter wheat over the North China Plain(NCP),where irrigation occurs extensively during the winter wheat growing *** approach used irrigation pattern parameters(IPPs)to define the irrigation frequency and ***,they were incorporated into a newly-developed process-based and remote sensing-driven crop yield model for winter wheat(PRYM–Wheat),to improve the regional estimates of winter wheat over the *** IPPs were determined using statistical yield data of reference years(2010–2015)over the *** findings showed that PRYM–Wheat with the optimal IPPs could improve the regional estimate of winter wheat yield,with an increase and decrease in the correlation coefficient(R)and root mean square error(RMSE)of 0.15(about 37%)and 0.90 t ha–1(about 41%),*** data in validation years(2001–2009 and 2016–2019)were used to validate PRYM–*** addition,our findings also showed R(RMSE)of 0.80(0.62 t ha–1)on a site level,0.61(0.91 t ha–1)for Hebei Province on a county level,0.73(0.97 t ha–1)for Henan Province on a county level,and 0.55(0.75 t ha–1)for Shandong Province on a city ***,PRYM–Wheat can offer a stable and robust approach to estimating regional winter wheat yield across multiple years,providing a scientific basis for ensuring regional food security.
