Mechanisms of fracture propagation from multi-cluster using a phase field based HMD coupling model in fractured reservoir

Natural fractures(NFs) are common in shale and tight reservoirs, where staged multi-cluster fracturing of horizontal wells is a prevalent technique for reservoir stimulation. While NFs and stress interference are recognized as significant factors affecting hydraulic fracture(HF) propagation, the combined influence of these factors remains poorly understood. To address this knowledge gap, a novel coupled hydromechanical-damage(HMD) model based on the phase field method is developed to investigate the propagation of multi-cluster HFs in fractured reservoirs. The comprehensive energy functional and control functions are established, while incorporating dynamic fluid distribution between multiple perforation clusters and refined changes in rock mechanical parameters during hydraulic fracturing. The HMD coupled multi-cluster HF propagation model investigates various scenarios, including single HF and single NF, reservoir heterogeneity, single HF and NF clusters, and multi-cluster HFs with NF clusters. The results show that the HMD coupling model can accurately capture the impact of approach angle(θ),stress difference and cementation strength on the interaction of HF and NF. The criterion of the open and cross zones is not fixed. The NF angle(a) is not a decisive parameter to discriminate the *** to the relationship between approach angle(θ) and NF angle(a), the contact relationship of HF can be divided into three categories(θ = a, θ a). The connected NF can increase the complexity of HF by inducing it to form branch fracture, resulting in a fractal dimension of HF as high as2.1280 at angles of ±45°. Inter-fracture interference from the heel to the toe of HF shows the phenomenon of no, strong and weak interference. Interestingly, under the influence of NFs, distant HFs from the injection can become dominant fractures. We synthesized B-He/B-GREDVY and immobilized them on avidin-coated *** examine the immobilization of molecules in the material, the following experiments were performed:fluorescein isothiocyanate(FITC) fluorescence staining, water contact angle and atomic force microscopy(AFM) measurements. Besides, the biological evaluation experiments were also performed, such as platelets adhesion and activation, the culturing of smooth muscle cells(SMC) and endothelial cells(EC). These experimental results show that the modified surfaces could prevent the hyperproliferation of SMC, and promote the proliferation and migration of EC and EPC. Furthermore, the adding of VEGF improved the EC adhesion in a dynamic environment. Generally, it is expected that the modified surfaces could be used to accelerate the formation of the newly endothelial layer for the construction of platforms for coronary artery stent therapy.

AIM:To figure out whether various atropine dosages may slow the progression of myopia in Chinese kids and teenagers and to determine the optimal atropine concentration for effectively slowing the progression of ***:A systematic search was conducted across the Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science,EMBASE,CNKI,CBM,VIP,and Wanfang database,encompassing literature on slowing progression of myopia with varying atropine concentrations from database inception to January 17,*** extraction and quality assessment were performed,and a network Meta-analysis was executed using Stata version 14.0 *** were visually represented through ***:Fourteen papers comprising 2475 cases were included;five different concentrations of atropine solution were *** network Meta-analysis,along with the surface under the cumulative ranking curve(SUCRA),showed that 1%atropine(100%)>0.05%atropine(74.9%)>0.025%atropine(51.6%)>0.02%atropine(47.9%)>0.01%atropine(25.6%)>control in refraction change and 1%atropine(98.7%)>0.05%atropine(70.4%)>0.02%atropine(61.4%)>0.025%atropine(42%)>0.01%atropine(27.4%)>control in axial length(AL)***:In Chinese children and teenagers,the five various concentrations of atropine can reduce the progression of *** the network Meta-analysis showed that 1%atropine is the best one for controlling refraction and AL change,there is a high incidence of adverse effects with the use of 1%***,we suggest that 0.05%atropine is optimal for Chinese children to slow myopia progression.

Black phosphorus (BP) is a new class of two-dimensional (2D) layered material, which shows the unanticipated characteristics in many aspects including electronics, transistors, sensors, energy storage, batteries, photocatalysis, and other applications due to its high charge carrier mobility, tunable direct bandgap, and unique in-plane anisotropic structure. In addition, BP has drawn tremendous attention in the field of tribology due to the low shear strength, the layered structure, and the weak connected force between the layers by van der Waals interaction. In recent years, many significant progresses have been made in experimental studies on BP materials as solid lubricants or lubrication additives. This work offers a review of researching regarding the tribological properties of BP. Moreover, the lubrication mechanisms of BP as the lubrication additive including the formation of the tribo-film, micro-bearing effect, and self-repair performance are also summarized. Finally, the current challenges and prospects of BP material as lubricant are proposed.

Buckling Properties of Water-Drop-Shaped Pressure Hulls with Various Shape Indices Under Hydrostatic External Pressure

The water-drop-shaped pressure hull has a good streamline,which has good application prospect in the underwater ***,this study conducted analytical,experimental and numerical investigation of the buckling properties of water-drop-shaped pressure hulls under hydrostatic pressure.A water-drop experiment was conducted to design water-drop-shaped pressure hulls with various shape *** critical loads for the water-drop-shaped pressure hulls were resolved by using Mushtari’s *** numerical simulations including linear buckling analysis and nonlinear buckling analysis including eigenmode imperfections were *** results indicated that the critical loads resolved by Mushtari's formula were in good agreement with the linear buckling loads from the numerical *** formula can be extended to estimate the buckling capacity of water-drop-shaped pressure *** addition,three groups of pressure hulls were fabricated by using stereolithography,a rapid prototyping ***,three groups of the pressure hulls were subjected to ultrasonic measurements,optical scanning,hydrostatic testing and numerical *** experimental results were consistent with the numerical *** results indicate that the sharp end of the water-drop-shaped pressure hulls exhibited instability compared with the blunt *** paper provides a new solution to the limitations of experimental studies on the water-drop-shaped pressure hulls as well as a new configuration and evaluation method for underwater observatories.

In this paper,numerical experiments are carried out to investigate the impact of penalty parameters in the numerical traces on the resonance errors of high-order multiscale discontinuous Galerkin(DG)methods(Dong et *** J Sci Comput 66:321–345,2016;Dong and wang in J Comput Appl Math 380:1–11,2020)for a one-dimensional stationary Schrödinger *** work showed that penalty parameters were required to be positive in error analysis,but the methods with zero penalty parameters worked fine in numerical simulations on coarse *** this work,by performing extensive numerical experiments,we discover that zero penalty parameters lead to resonance errors in the multiscale DG methods,and taking positive penalty parameters can effectively reduce resonance errors and make the matrix in the global linear system have better condition numbers.
