Because glycidyl(Gly) contains an epoxy and an active hydroxyl group, the Gly unit is difficult to introduce into certain polymeric chains in a controlled manner and usually yields hyperbranched polyglycidyl. Alternatively, the monomer 1-ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether(EEGE), derived from Gly and ethyl vinyl ether, has shown potential for application in polymer chemistry, and homopolymerization of this monomer directly produces linear poly(1-ethoxyethyl glycidyl ether) and further yields linear polyglycidyl. In this review, the initiation system of the EEGE monomer is first discussed in terms of chain transfer to monomers in ring-opening polymerization of epoxides with substituent groups. Then, random copolymerization of EEGE with other epoxides is considered. In addition, because the EEGE units on polymers can be transferred to Gly units and further used to construct copolymers with complicated architectures, the applications of EEGE monomers to block, graft, and hyperbranched copolymers are reviewed. Finally, the synthesis of main chain and terminal functional polyethers by transforming the hydroxyl groups at the polymer end or on the main chain into certain functional groups are also discussed. Chemistry based on EEGE has been proved to be an efficient, versatile route to constructing copolymers containing Gly units and ultimately yielding the target properties and applications.

Iterative methods are used to simulate the in vitro feedforward neural networks in physiological *** can be propagated to a minimum of ten ***,the discharge activity of each group will be more *** feedforward neural networks have a wide range of applications in machine learning,and the weight of synapses considerably influences the propagation of weak ***,we investigated the effect of Gaussian colored noise and electromagnetic radiation on the propagation of the subthreshold excitatory postsynaptic current signals in the input layer of the multilayer Izhikevich neural feedforward *** the absence of electromagnetic radiation,the excitatory postsynaptic current signal is stably propagated and amplified in multilayer feedforward neural networks under the optimal Gaussian colored noise strength or correlation time in the output layer of the *** with the case in which there is no electromagnetic radiation,the presence of electromagnetic radiation slightly reduces the propagation of weak ***,the time required to propagate the excitatory postsynaptic current signal to the output layer increases with the increasing feedback *** feedforward neural network considered in this study is a considerably simple *** complex structures,such as backward connection and delayed feedback,can be observed in real biological ***,the next step will be to study more complex neural models with neuron models based on the physiological experimental data and compare them with real biological ***,the study of neural networks can be combined with an experimental study about the auditory nervous system of bats to understand the biological mechanism associated with the auditory system function of bats from two perspectives.

A paleomagnetic study was carried out on late Jurassic sediments in the Nanjing area. Stepwise thermal demagnetization was used to isolate the characteristic higher temperature component （HTC）（D=354.0°,I=48.5°,a95=7.8°）,which passes the reversal test.A 24.7±8.7°counter-clockwise rotation relative to the Sichuan area is detected through comparing this new pole（84.4°N,7.0°E, A95=7.7°）with other coeval poles reported from South *** rotation was conducted by sinistral action of slip *** cases presenting in several areas of eastern China indicate that deformation of eastern China is under the effect of subduction from the Pacific Ocean *** difference on the paleolatitude of several areas across the Tan-Lu fault zone is calculated and suggests about at most 250 km offset distance after the later Jurassic.

A paleomagnetic study was carried out on Early-Middle Jurassic sediments in the Zhenba area, the western South-dabashan orogenic belt. Stepwise thermal demagnetization isolated the characteristic high temperature component (HTC) (D=37.1°,I=46.1°, α95=10.1°), which passed the fold test. By comparing the corresponding pole of HTC (57.6°N, 196.6°E, A95=9.9°) with coeval reference poles for the Sichuan basin, we detected a 26.5°±9.0° clockwise rotation of the study area relative to the stable Sichuan basin. We interpret that this rotation was caused by obstruction of the Hannan block during thrusting of the Dabashan, and occurred around Early Cretaceous.

Fluoroquinolone antibiotics(FQs)that persist and bioaccumulate in the environment have aroused people’s great ***,we studied the adverse effects of FQs in soil animals of Caenorhabditis elegans via food-chronically *** result shows *** exposed to FQs exhibited reproductive toxicity with small-brood size and low-egg *** study the underlying mechanism,we conduct a deep investigation of enrofloxacin(ENR),one of the most frequently detected FQs,on nematodes which is one of commonly used animal indicator of soil *** concentration-effect curves simulated by the Hill model showed that the half effect concentrations(EC50)of ENR were(494.3±272.9)μmol/kg and(107.4±30.9)μmol/kg for the brood size and the hatchability,*** gene expression between the control and the ENR-exposure group enriched with the oxidative stress and cell apoptosis *** results together with the enzyme activity in oxidative stress and the cell corpses suggested that ENR-induced reproductive toxicity was related to germ cell apoptosis under oxidative *** risk quotients of some soil and livestock samples were calculated based on the threshold value of EC10 for the egg hatchability(2.65μmol/kg).The results indicated that there was possible reproductive toxicity on the nematodes in certain agricultural soils for the *** study suggested that chronic exposure to FQs at certain levels in environment would induce reproductive toxicity to the nematodes and might reduce the soil sustainability,alarming the environment risks of antibiotics abuse.

Pitting corrosion behavior of Ce treated HSLA steels induced by sulfide inclusions in 3.5 wt% NaCl solution was investigated with potentiodynamic polarization and immersion corrosion *** results show that Ce added steels exhibit better pitting corrosion resistance with lower corrosion current density and bigger pitting potential compared with steel without Ce,which is mainly attributed to optimized characteristics of spherical Ce-oxysulfide inclusions with less number density,smaller average size and lower pitting corrosion *** spherical Ce_(2)O_(2) S inclusions precipitated on the surface of CeAlO_(3) inclusions in the Ce added steels induce pits with bigger opening mouth and shallow depth,reducing their tendency of extension to go deeper due to occlusion corrosion battery in the pitting ***,corrosion inhibitor Ce(OH)_(3) generated by Ce_(2)O_(2) S hydration can weaken electrochemical corrosion of the matrix micro-region around the *** avoid harmful bigger inclusions,Ce content in steels should be regulated within reasonable range,0.015 wt% Ce in present steels effectively modified inclusions to acquire the best pitting corrosion resistance of the steels.

Prediction of Dendrite Orientation and Stray Grain Distribution in Laser Surface-melted Single Crystal Superalloy

A vectorization analysis technique for crystal growth and microstructure development in single-crystal weld was developed in our previous work. Based on the vectorization method, crystal growth and stray grain distribution in laser surface remelting of single crystal superalloy CMSX-4 were investigated in com- bination of simulations with experimental observations. The energy distribution of laser was taken into consideration in this research. The experimental results demonstrate that the simulation model applies well in the prediction of dendrite growth direction. Moreover, the prediction of stray grain distribution works well except for the region of dendrites growing along the [100] direction.
