This paper documents a 7800-year proxy record from the Shenjiadian peatland on the Sanjiang Plain in Northeast China.High-resolution plant macrofossil and colorimetric humification methods were used to reconstruct the vegetation and hydrologic history from a 193 cm-long sedimentary profile.Detrended correspondence analysis(DCA) was applied to transform the raw plant macrofossil data into latent indices of peatland water level.The vegetation community transited from an Equisetum fluviatile community to a Carex lasiocarpa community at approximately 3800 cal yr BP and was followed by a Carex-shrub community at approximately 480 cal yr BP.Based on the plant macrofossil DCA axis 1 scores and humification values,we distinguished four hydrologic periods:a wet period from 7800 cal yr BP to 4500 cal yr BP,dry periods up to 1600 cal yr BP,drier periods until 300 cal yr BP,and the driest period from 300 cal yr BP until the present.Through a comparison with other climate records,we suggest that the East Asian summer monsoon(EAM) was the main driving force for vegetation and water level changes to the Shenjiadian peatland through its impacts on precipitation.

This paper focuses on the quadratic nonfragile filtering problem for linear non-Gaussian systems under multiplicative noises,multiple missing measurements as well as the dynamic event-triggered transmission scheme.The multiple missing measurements are characterized through random variables that obey some given probability distributions,and thresholds of the dynamic event-triggered scheme can be adjusted dynamically via an auxiliary variable.Our attention is concentrated on designing a dynamic event-triggered quadratic nonfragile filter in the well-known minimum-variance sense.To this end,the original system is first augmented by stacking its state/measurement vectors together with second-order Kronecker powers,thus the original design issue is reformulated as that of the augmented system.Subsequently,we analyze statistical properties of augmented noises as well as high-order moments of certain random parameters.With the aid of two well-defined matrix difference equations,we not only obtain upper bounds on filtering error covariances,but also minimize those bounds via carefully designing gain parameters.Finally,an example is presented to explain the effectiveness of this newly established quadratic filtering algorithm.

The research on multiple launch rocket system(MLRS)is now even more demanding in terms of reducing the time for dynamic calculations and improving the firing accuracy,keeping the cost as low as possible.This study employs multibody system transfer matrix method(MSTMM),to model MLRS.The use of this method provides effective and fast calculations of dynamic characteristics,initial disturbance and firing accuracy.Further,a new method of rapid extrapolation of ballistic trajectory of MLRS is proposed by using the position information of radar tests.That extrapolation point is then simulated and compared with the actual results,which demonstrates a good agreement.The closed?loop fire correction method is used to improve the firing accuracy of MLRS at low cost.

This paper is concerned with the problem of finitehorizon energy-to-peak state estimation for a class of networked linear time-varying systems.Due to the inherent vulnerability of network-based communication,the measurement signals transmitted over a communication network might be intercepted by potential eavesdroppers.To avoid information leakage,by resorting to an artificial-noise-assisted method,we develop a novel encryption-decryption scheme to ensure that the transmitted signal is composed of the raw measurement and an artificial-noise term.A special evaluation index named secrecy capacity is employed to assess the information security of signal transmissions under the developed encryption-decryption scheme.The purpose of the addressed problem is to design an encryptiondecryption scheme and a state estimator such that:1)the desired secrecy capacity is ensured;and 2)the required finite-horizon–l_(2)-l_(∞)performance is achieved.Sufficient conditions are established on the existence of the encryption-decryption mechanism and the finite-horizon state estimator.Finally,simulation results are proposed to show the effectiveness of our proposed encryption-decryption-based state estimation scheme.

Poisson disk sampling has been widely used in many applications such as remeshing, procedural texturing, object distribution, illumination, etc. While 2D Poisson disk sampling is intensively studied in recent years, direct Poisson disk sampling on 2-manifold surface is rarely covered. In this paper, we present a novel framework which generates approximate Poisson disk distribution directly on mesh, a discrete representation of 2-manifold surfaces. Our framework is easy to implement and provides extra flexibility to specified sampling issues like feature-preserving sampling and adaptive sampling. We integrate the tensor voting method into feature detection and adaptive sample radius calculation. Remeshing as a special downstream application is also addressed. According to our experiment results, our framework is efficient, robust, and widely applicable.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of human death worldwide. Autophagy is an evolutionarily conserved degradation pathway,which is a highly conserved cellular degradation process in which lysosomes decompose their own organelles and recycle the resulting macromolecules.Autophagy is critical in maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis and function, and excessive or insufficient autophagy or autophagic flux can lead to cardiovascular disease. Enormous evidence indicates that exercise training plays a beneficial role in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The regulation of autophagy during exercise is a bidirectional process. For cardiovascular disease caused by either insufficient or excessive autophagy, exercise training restores normal autophagy function and delays the progression of cardiovascular disease.An in-depth exploration and discussion of exercise-mediated regulation of autophagy in the cardiovascular system can broaden our view about the prevention of various autophagy-related diseases through exercise training. In this article, we review autophagy and its related signaling pathways,as well as autophagy-dependent beneficial effects of exercise in cardiovascular system.

The objective of this study was to investigate the influence of strengthening mechanisms on the high-temperature mechanical properties of China low-activation ferrite(CLF-1)steel,which underwent thermodynamic design and thermo-mechanical treatment(TMT).The microstructure characterization in the normalized and tempered condition and the TMT condition was carried out using optical microscopy,X-ray diffractometer,and scanning electron microscopy with electron backscatter diffraction.High-resolution transmission electron microscopy was employed to determine the crystallographic structures of precipitated phases.The results indicated that the addition of Ti led to an increase in the allocation of C in MC phase and an enhancement in the content of MC phase.Compared to CLF-P steel in the normalized and tempered condition,a 1.5-fold increase in dislocation density and an order of magnitude improvement in MX phase density were achieved after TMT.The formation of high-density nano-scale MC phases during TMT played a significant role in precipitation strengthening due to their favorable coherent relationship with the matrix and low interfacial free energy.The excellent high-temperature mechanical properties observed in CLF-P steel after TMT can be attributed to the combined effects of precipitation strengthening,dislocation strengthening,and lath strengthening.
