As one of the most important terminals in machining, cutting tools have been widely used for components manufacturing in aerospace and other industries. The quality of these components and processing efficiency are closely linked to the performance of cutting tools. Therefore, it is essential and critical to inspect the cutting tools and monitor the condition during the stage of manufacturing and machining. This review aims to discuss and summarize the key problems, methods,and techniques from the perspective of the tool geometric and the physical quantities measurement,including machine vision, physical sensors and data processing. It is worth mentioning that we focus on the topic of precision measurement methods and discuss universal solutions by identifying the common characteristics of the measured quantities. Eventually, the challenges and future trends for the development of in-depth research and practical applications are concluded. The research and application of precise measurement techniques for geometric and physical quantities will better promote the development of intelligent manufacturing.

Carboniferous integrative stratigraphy,biotas,and paleogeographical evolution of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas

During the Carboniferous Period,the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas were located in quite different paleogeographic positions with various sedimentary and biological types.It is important to systematically compile and summarize the Carboniferous strata and biotas of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas,to establish an integrated stratigraphic framework for correlation,and to reconstruct the paleogeography for correctly understanding the breakup of the Gondwana Continent and the evolution of the Paleo-Tethys Ocean in the Late Paleozoic.The Carboniferous of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and its surrounding areas can be subdivided into the Gondwanan,Cimmerian,and Tethyan types.The Gondwanan-type Carboniferous are distributed in the North Himalayan,Kangmar-Lhunze,and Zanda-Zumba regions of the South Tibet Subprovince and northern India-Pakistan Area,where only the Mississippian is developed and the biota is of Gondwanan affinity.The Cimmerian-type Carboniferous,which are found in the Baoshan,Tengchong,Coqen-Xainza,LhasaZayu,Nagqu-Biru,and South Qiangtang regions,as well as Shan-Thai and South Afghanistan-Pamir areas,also represent only the Mississippian strata,but their biota is characterized by mixed characters of European,South China,Australian,and North American types.The Tethyan-type Carboniferous are distributed in the Tanggula Mountains,Hoh Xil-Bayanhar,ChamdoHengduanshan,Tiekelike,West Kunlun,Karakorum,East Kunlun-Central Qinling,and Qilian regions,where the Carboniferous succession is well developed,and the biota is of warm-water Tethyan affinity.The biostratigraphical correlation of the Gondwanan-type and Cimmerian-type Carboniferous is based mainly on conodonts and additionally on brachiopods and rugose corals.The Mississippian of the Tethyan-type Carboniferous is correlated mainly by using rugose corals and brachiopods,whereas in the Pennsylvanian foraminifera(fusuline)and conodonts are regarded as primary fossil groups,subordinated by rugose corals and brachiopods.Adhering

Rational design of biodegradable semiconducting polymer nanoparticles for NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided photodynamic therapy

Semiconducting polymer nanoparticles(SPNs)have shown great promise in second near-infrared window(NIR-II)phototheranostics.However,the issue of long metabolic time significantly restricts the clinical application of SPNs.In this study,we rationally designed a biodegradable SPN(BSPN50)for NIR-II fluorescence imaging-guided photodynamic therapy(PDT).BSPN50 is prepared by encapsulating a biodegradable SP(BSP50)with an amphiphilic copolymer F-127.BSP50 is composed of NIR-II fluorescent diketopyrrolopyrrole(DPP)segment and degradable poly(phenylenevinylene)(PPV)segment with the ratio of 50/50.BSPN50 has both satisfactory degradability under myeloperoxidase(MPO)/hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))and NIR-II fluorescence emission upon 808 nm laser excitation.Furthermore,BSPN50 shows good photodynamic efficacy under 808 nm laser irradiation.BSPN50 shows a faster degradation rate than BSPN100 which has no PPV segment both in vitro and in vivo.In addition,BSPN50 can effectively diagnose tumor via NIR-II fluorescence imaging and inhibit the tumor growth by PDT.Thus,our study provides a rational approach to construct biodegradable nanoplatforms for efficient tumor NIR-II phototheranostics.

Nitrogen(N) is an essential nutrient for food production. The rapid increase in population requires high inputs of N to meet the growing food demand. If not managed well, the substantial loss of N from the food system has multiple impacts on grain yield, air and water pollution, and the economic benefits of agricultural. Multi-objective(food security, environmental sustainability and economic sustainability) synergistic consideration of N management in the food system is still lacking. This study employed strategies for optimizing N management in the food system, using Quzhou County as a typical example on the North China Plain. Firstly, a food chain approach was adopted to understand drivers and reasons behind N losses from the food system.Secondly, a top-down approach was used to define multi-objective N management, taking into consideration food security, environmental sustainability and economic sustainability. Multi-objective N management aims to reduce N losses to the environment and increase N use efficiencies,while simultaneously increasing yields and economic benefits. Thirdly, 3R(reduce-retain-recycle) N management strategies were identified for specific crops and animals through a bottom-up approach and then analyzed the potential of these strategies to achieve the multi-objectives. Finally, there is a discussion of how to engage different stakeholders to promote the technologies implementation. This study provides new insights into the synergistic achievement of multi-objective N management in the food system and the development of environmentally-friendly agriculture.

Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger(PCHE) with high-efficiency and compact structure has great application prospect in the supercritical carbon dioxide(S-CO_(2)) power systems for the next generation of high-temperature concentrated solar and advanced nuclear energy. However, the high operating temperature and pressure require PCHE to maintain good heat transfer performance, as well as reliable mechanical performance at the same time. It is necessary to carry out the fluid-thermal-mechanical coupled analysis of PCHE for the safe and efficient operation of the S-CO_(2) cycle. In this paper, a three-dimensional fluid-structure coupled numerical model was established to study the fluid-thermal-mechanical coupled characteristics of PCHE under different airfoil fin arrangements. The stress distribution of the single airfoil fin was studied, and a better airfoil arrangement that comprehensively considers heat transfer characteristics and stress distribution was obtained. Aiming at the high stress caused by the stress concentration at both ends of the airfoil fin, an optimized configuration combining straight channel and airfoil channel was proposed. The results show that the difference between the flow and heat transfer performance of the two optimized structures and the reference structure is only within 1.5%, but the maximum stresses of the two optimized structures are respectively reduced by 69.4% and 70.0% compared with that of the reference structure, which significantly reduces the stress intensity of PCHE. The result provides a new method to develop the airfoil PCHE with uniform stress distribution and good thermo-hydraulic performance.

Layer-type LiNi0.9Mn0.1O2is promising to be the primary cathode material for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)due to its excellent electrochemical performance.Unfortunately,the cathode with high nickel content suffers from severely detrimental structural transformation that causes rapid capacity attenuation.Herein,site-specific dual-doping with Fe and Mg ions is proposed to enhance the structural stability of LiNi0.9Mn0.1O2.The Fe3+dopants are inserted into transition metal sites(3b)and can favorably provide additional redox potential to compensate for charge and enhance the reversibility of anionic redox.The Mg ions are doped into the Li sites(3a)and serve as O_(2)^(-)-Mg^(2+)-O_(2)^(-)pillar to reinforce the electrostatic cohesion between the two adjacent transition-metal layers,which further suppress the cracking and the generation of harmful phase transitions,ultimately improving the cyclability.The theoretical calculations,including Bader charge and crystal orbital Hamilton populations(COHP)analyses,confirm that the doped Fe and Mg can form stable bonds with oxygen and the electrostatic repulsion of O_(2)^(-)-O_(2)^(-)can be effectively suppressed,which effectively mitigates oxygen anion loss at the high delithiation state.This dual-site doping strategy offers new avenues for understanding and regulating the crystalline oxygen redox and demonstrates significant potential for designing high-performance cobalt-free nickel-rich cathodes.

Two-dimensional Ruddlesden-Popper（2DRP） perovskite exhibits excellent stability in perovskite solar cells（PSCs） due to introducing hydrophobic long-chain organic spacers.However,the poor charge transporting property of bulky organic cation spacers limits the performance of 2DRP PSCs.Inspired by the Asite cation alloying strategy in 3D perovskites,2DRP perovskites with a binary spacer can promote charge transporting compared to the unary spacer counterparts.Herein,the superior MA-based 2DRP perovskite films with a binary spacer,including 3-guanidinopropanoic acid（GPA） and 4-fluorophenethylamine（FPEA） are realized.These films(GPA0.85FPEA0.15)2MA4Pb5I16show good morphology,large grain size,decreased trap state density,and preferential orientation of the as-prepared film.Accordingly,the present 2DRP-based PSC with the binary spacer achieves a remarkable efficiency of 18.37% with a VOCof1.15 V,a JSCof 20.13 mA cm-2,and an FF of 79.23%.To our knowledge,the PCE value should be the highest for binary spacer MA-based 2DRP（n ≤ 5） PSCs to date.Importantly,owing to the hydrophobic fluorine group of FPEA and the enhanced interlayer interaction by FPEA,the unencapsulated 2DRP PSCs based on binary spacers exhibit much excellent humidity stability and thermal stability than the unary spacer counterparts.

This review addresses the growing disparity between the current state of fertilizer production in China and the evolving demands of green agriculture in the 21st century. It explores major advances in fertilizers, proposes the concept of green intelligent fertilizers and develops new strategies aligned with the principles of green development in fertilizer industry and agriculture.Green intelligent fertilizers may be designed to maximize the synergistic effects among plants, soils, microorganisms, nutrient sources and the environment. This concept emphasizes the integration of industry and agriculture toward green development for entire industry chain, using an interdisciplinary approach to drive the green transformation of fertilizer industry, and promote green and sustainable development of agriculture. By bridging the gap between the current state of fertilizer industry and a growing need for environmentally responsible agricultural practices, this review highlights a path toward harmonizing fertilizer production with the imperatives of green agriculture.

The Convention on Biological Diversity seeks to conserve at least 30%of global land and water areas by 2030,which is a challenge but also an opportunity to better preserve biodiversity,including flowering plants(angiosperms).Herein,we compiled a large database on distributions of over 300,000 angiosperm species and the key functional traits of 67,024 species.Using this database,we constructed biodiversity-environment models to predict global patterns of taxonomic,phylogenetic,and functional diversity in terrestrial angiosperms and provide a comprehensive mapping of the three diversity facets.We further evaluated the current protection status of the biodiversity centers of these diversity facets.Our results showed that geographical patterns of the three facets of plant diversity exhibited substantial spatial mismatches and nonoverlapping conservation priorities.Idiosyncratic centers of functional diversity,particularly of herbaceous species,were primarily distributed in temperate regions and under weaker protection compared with other biodiversity centers of taxonomic and phylogenetic facets.Our global assessment of multifaceted biodiversity patterns and centers highlights the insufficiency and unbalanced conservation among the three diversity facets and the two growth forms(woody vs.herbaceous),thus providing directions for guiding the future conservation of global plant diversity.
