Synergy effect of multi-strengthening mechanisms in FeMnCoCrN HEA at cryogenic temperature

High-entropy alloys(HEAs)have attracted great research interest owing to their good combination of high strength and ductility at both room and cryogenic ***,expensive raw materials are always added to overcome the strength-ductility trade-off at low temperatures,leading to an increased production cost for the cryogenically used *** this work,a series of nitrogen-doped Fe Mn Co Cr HEAs have been processed by homogenization annealing,cold rolling and recrystallization annealing followed by water *** microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the alloys are studied *** Fe_(49)Mn_(30)Co_(10)Cr_(10)N1alloy shows excellent mechanical properties at both 293 K and 77 ***,the yield and ultimate tensile strength of 1078 and 1630 MPa are achieved at the cryogenic temperature,respectively,while a satisfactory uniform elongation of 33.5%is *** ultrahigh yield strength results from the microstructure refinement caused by the activation of athermal martensitic transformation and mechanical twinning that occur in the elastic regime together with the increased lattice friction due to the cryogenic *** the plastic regime,the dynamic Hall-Petch effect caused by twinning,martensitic transformation,and reverse transformation together with the high barrier to dislocation motion jointly contribute to the ultrahigh tensile ***,the transformation induced plasticity(TRIP)and the twinning induced plasticity(TWIP)effects jointly contribute to the *** design strategy for attaining superior mechanical properties at low temperatures,*** adjusting stacking fault energy in the interstitial metastable HEAs,guides the development of high-performance and low-cost alloys for cryogenic applications.

A model predictive control strategy with switching cost functions for cooperative operation of trains

The cooperative control of trains is proposed as an innovative method for further improving operation efficiency. Model predictive control(MPC) has been widely discussed for multiple trains because it can handle the challenges posed by the cooperative control problem, such as complex constraints. In real situations, multiple objectives, such as comfort and safety, must be considered when controlling multiple trains with MPC, and the total objective may change during operation, affecting control performance. In this paper, a distributed structure based on switching cost function model predictive control(ScMPC) for multiple trains in a switching situation is given, where the cost functions of the train control problem change with the variable demand of cooperative operation. Furthermore, the feasibility of the proposed method and stability of the closed-loop system are proved to guarantee the stable operation of the controlled ***, the control method’s effectiveness is verified. Three kinds of cost functions are given, and their control performance is compared to show the effect of different weights and the advantage of ScMPC.

Red phosphorus(RP) is a promising visible-light-driven semiconductor for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution,but the activity is restricted due to the rapid charge carrier recombination and sluggish surface reaction ***,cobalt phosphide(CoP_(2)) modified RP heterostructure was developed by in situ phosphorization of cobalt oxide from phosphorus *** tuning the amounts of CoP_(2) in the heterostructure,the optimized hybrid exhibited a HER rate reaching 11.79 μmol h^(-1) under visible light illumination,which is 3.5 times higher than that of the RP with Pt as *** was experimentally indicated that the intimate interaction between CoP_(2) and RP gave rise to improved visible light absorption and accelerated photogenerated electron-holes ***,the CoP_(2) as a noble-metal-free cocatalyst could promote the surface hydrogen evolution reaction,which synergetic benefited the photocatalytic hydrogen production activity.

Identification of fractional order Hammerstein models based on mixed signals

An algorithm based on mixed signals is proposed,to solve the issues of low accuracy of identification algorithm,immeasurable intermediate variables of fractional order Hammerstein model,and how to determine the magnitude of fractional *** this paper,a special mixed input signal is designed to separate the nonlinear and linear parts of the fractional order Hammerstein model so that each part can be identified *** nonlinear part is fitted by the neural fuzzy network model,which avoids the limitation of polynomial fitting and broadens the application range of nonlinear *** addition,the multi-innovation Levenberg-Marquardt(MILM)algorithm and auxiliary recursive least square algorithm are innovatively integrated into the parameter identification algorithm of the fractional order Hammerstein model to obtain more accurate identification results.A simulation example is given to verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method.

A model of ^90Sr distribution in the sea near Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant in China

The impact on the environment ofradionuclide release from nuclear power plants has attracted increased attention, especially after the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant in Japan. Based on the mechanisms of adsorption/desorption at solid/liquid interfaces and a surface micromorphology model of sediments, a theoretical expression of the distribution coefficient Kd is derived. This coefficient has significant effects on the distribution of radionuclide in seawater, suspended sediment and seabed sediment. Kd is then used to simulate ^90Sr transport in the sea near the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant. The simulation results are compared with field measurements of tidal level, current velocity, suspended sediment concentration and ^90Sr concentrations in the same period. Overall, the simulated results agree well with the field measured data. Thus, the derived expression for Ka is capable of interpreting realistic adsorption/desorption processes. What＇s more, conclusion is drawn that about 40% ^90Sr released by Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant will be adsorbed by suspended sediment and 20% by seabed sediment, only about 40% ^90St will remain in the sea near Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant in South China Sea.

A review of mechanism and prevention technologies of coal bumps in China

Coal bump refers to a sudden catastrophic failure of coal seam and usually can cause serious damages to underground mining facilities and staff. In this circumstance, this paper focuses on the recent achievements in the mechanism and prevention techniques of coal bumps over the past five years in *** on theoretical analysis, laboratory experiment, numerical simulation and field test, the characteristics of coal bumps occurrence in China's coal mines were described, and the difference between coal bumps and rockbursts was also discussed. In addition, three categories of coal bumps induced by'material failure' were introduced, i.e. hard roof, floor strata and tectonic structures, in which the mechanism of coal bumps induced by geological structures was analyzed. This involves the bump liability and microstructure effects on bump-prone coal failure, the mechanism of coal bumps in response to fault reactivation, island face mining or hard roof failure. Next, the achievements in the monitoring and controlling methods of coal bumps were reviewed. These methods involve the incorporated prediction system of micro-seismicity and mining-induced pressure, the distributed micro-seismic monitoring system, energy absorption support system, bolts with constant resistance and large elongation,and the 'multi-stage' high-performance support. Finally, an optimal mining design is desirable for the purpose of coal bump mitigation.

Ground-motion simulation for the MW6.1 Ludian earthquake on 3 August 2014 using the stochastic finite-fault method

The stochastic finite-fault simulation method was applied to synthesize the horizontal ground acceleration seismograms produced by the MW6.1 Ludian earthquake on August 3,*** this purpose,we produced first a total of 200 kinematic source models for the Ludian event,which are characterized by the heterogeneous slip on the conjugated ruptured fault and the slip-dependent spreading of the rupture *** results indicated that the heterogeneous slip and the spatial extent of the ruptured fault play dominant roles in the spatial distribution of ground motions in the near-fault *** peak ground accelerations(PGAs)and 5%-damped pseudospectral accelerations(PSAs)at periods shorter than 0.5 s estimated on the resulting synthetics generally match well with the observations at stations with Joyner-Boore distances(RJB)greater than 20 *** synthetic PGVs and PSAs at periods of 0.5 s and 0.75 s are in good agreement with predicted medians by the Yu14 model(Yu et al.,2014).However,the synthetic results are generally much lower than the predicted medians by BSSA14 model(Boore et al.,2014).Moreover,the ground motion variability caused by the randomness in the source rupture process was evaluated by these *** standard deviations of PSAs on the base-10 logarithmic scale,Sigma[log10(PSA)],are closely dependent on either the spectral period or the *** Sigma[log10(PSA)]remains a constant approximately 0.55 at periods shorter than 0.1 s,and then increase continuously up to^0.13 as the period increases from 0.1 to 2.0 *** Sigma[log10(PSA)]values at periods of 0.1‒2.0 s show the downward tendency as the RJB values ***,the Sigma[log10(PSA)]values at periods shorter than 0.1 s decrease as the RJB values increase up to^50 km,and then increase with the increasing ***,we found that the ground-motion variability shows the significant dependence on the azimuth.

As the largest genus of Halymeniaceae,Grateloupia has been widely ***,we observed the life history and early development of Grateloupia constricata Li et Ding and investigated the effects of temperature,irradiance,and photoperiod on the discoid crust and sporeling development of *** under laboratory *** observed that the type of carpospore development was“mediate discal type”.The life history included homotypic gametophyte(haploid),carposporophyte(diploid),and tetrasporophyte(diploid),with typical isomorphic alternation of *** results of double factorial analysis showed that both single factorial effects and interaction among temperature,photoperiod,and irradiance were obviously significant on the discoid crust and sporeling ***,we found that the optimum combination of condition for the early growth and development of *** was temperature 20°C,irradiance 80μmol photons/(m^2·s)and photoperiod 16L:*** study provides the theoretical basis and technical support for the conservation of the Grateloupia germplasm,artificial breeding,large-scale cultivation and sustainable development.

Microtubule-associated protein Tau is responsible for the stabilization of neuronal microtubules under normal physiological *** attention has been focused on Tau’s contribution to cognition,but little research has explored its role in emotions such as pain,anxiety,and *** the current study,we found a significant increase in the levels of p-Tau(Thr231),total Tau,IL-1β,and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF)on day 7 after complete Freund's adjuvant(CFA)injection;they were present in the vast majority of neurons in the spinal dorsal *** of Mapt-shRNA recombinant adeno-associated virus into the spinal dorsal cord alleviated CFA-induced inflammatory pain and inhibited CFA-induced IL-1βand BDNF ***,Tau overexpression was sufficient to induce hyperalgesia by increasing the expression of IL-1βand ***,the activation of glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta partly contributed to Tau *** findings suggest that Tau in the dorsal horn could be a promising target for chronic inflammatory pain therapy.
