The result of these subjective assessments may reflect onlythe superficial scar thickness but is unable to measure the whole scar volume and thickness under the skin *** of scarthickness using ultrasound imaging has been previously reported,but has not been commonly used in clinics due to its complex operationmethod and high *** this study,we have adopted a newly developed and user-friendly Tissue ultrasound palpation system （TUpS） for theassessment of scar *** consists of a finger size palpation probe,connected to an ultrasound transducer and an in-series load cell to measure the thickness of the soft tissue over the human *** method of operation is easy and it can be used to measure skin thickness on various parts of the body,thus reflecting the skin *** reliability of the TUpS in clinical application was tested on 30 subjects with a hypertrophic scar at a local *** raters implemented two assessments on each subject to study its test-retest and inter-rater *** was then used to assess 100 subjects with various severity of hypertrophic scar caused by trauma,scald,burn or *** were assessed using TUpS as well as the Vancouver Scar Scale （VSS） for rating scar thickness,pliability,pigmentation and *** mixed intra-class correlation showed a high test-retest reliability with Intraclass Correlation Coefficient （ICC）=0.98 and inter-rater reliability ICC=*** positive correlations with VSS thickness score and VSS total score r=0.34 （p＜0.05） and 0.42 （p＜ 0.05）,respectively.A significant difference between two scar type groups （50 burn scald scars and 50 surgical scars） was demonstrated （d.f.=52.94,t=3.99,p＜0.01）.TUpS was proved to have high inter-rater,test-rete

High corrosion resistance of alloys is essential for their structural applications;however,most alloys suffer from degradation of their corrosion resistance with the increasing acidity of their ***,we developed a series of medium-entropy alloys(MEAs)in this work,which ex-hibit high strength,superior fracture toughness and ultra-high corrosion resistance,outperforming the variety of corrosion resistant alloys hitherto *** interestingly,our MEAs exhibit an unusual anti-corrosion behavior and their corrosion resistance increases with acidity in Cl−containing *** extensive thermodynamic calculations,density functional theory(DFT)simulations and experi-ments,we reveal that the unusual anti-corrosion behavior of our MEAs can be attributed to their surface chemical complexity,which facilitates the physio-chemical-absorption of H_(2)O and O_(2)and thus the rapid formation of metastable medium entropy passive films that contain the lowest amount of defects,as compared to the passive films on conventional alloys reported in the literature.

CuCr触头材料中的Cr含量的影响，特别是对大电流开断的影响的研究，迄今为止几乎全部是在试验用真空灭弧室内进行，而不是在实际的真空灭弧室中进行的。触头和它们周围的环境（机电的或气体的）之间可能的相互作用或许需要工业用的真空灭弧室，以便得到一个更切合实际的Cr含量对触头材料综合性能影响的试验判断方法。本文中触头内的Cr含量在5－75wt%的范围内变化，并使用38kV纵磁场真空来灭弧室进行试验。测量了作为Cr含量函数的触头材料的电导率、硬度特性和真空灭弧室的总电阻。在短路电流开断试验的前后，测试了触头材料的交流电压和脉冲电压的耐受能力。触头的电侵蚀性能在真空灭弧室经受仅半个周期的燃弧试验时确定。

Each year in Hong Kong,about 350,000 surgical procedures are conducted for various types of *** review indicated that the prevalence of hypertrophic scar among Caucasians ranged from 15% to 63% and that the incidence was even higher among *** study aims to find out the prevalence rate of hypertrophic scar among the Hong Kong Chinese population after standardized surgical procedures.A systematic and objective scar measurement protocol is implemented in this *** spectrocolorimeter,Miniscan XE plus was used to measure the scar pigmentation based on the theory of the CIE colour *** tissue ultrasound palpation system (TUpS) was employed to measure scar *** May 2001 to December 2003,154 patients,who received surgical intervention at the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of a large regional hospital,were invited to join a scar-screening *** hundred and fifteen patients (74.67%) were found to have signs of hypertrophic scar based on thickness,pliability,pigmentation and vascularity (using the Vancouver scar scale (VSS) score).One hundred and one patients consented to have more comprehensive scar assessment. Results indicated that the scar thickness was 4.91.03 *** with the adjacent normal skin,the color of hypertrophic scar was significantly different in terms of lightness (d.f.=100,t=9.36,ppwness (d.f.=100,t=1.48,ppaired t-test *** point five percent and 33.7% among patients reported pain (2.19.74) and itchiness (1,47.53) over the *** objective scar assessments showed that more than 70% of scars had increase in thickness and pigmentation after *** than 40% of patients reported pain and *** results showed that more than 70% of the scars in the HK Chinese population had become hypertrophic in terms of pigmentation,thickness and physical symptoms such as pain and itchiness 1 month after the surgical

＜正＞Background This study aimed to determine the efficacy of silicone gel （Cica-Care） on severe ost-traumatic hypertophic scars among theChinese *** and materials A randomized clinical trial （RCT） was conducted on 45 Chinese patients with post-traumatic hypertrophic ***-two subjects were placed in the experimental group with silicone gel sheeting （SGS） applied 24 h per day for 6 months while allsubjects were taught to massage the scar daily for 15 min serving as the control *** assessments were conducted regularly tomeasure the changes in thickness, pigmentation,vascularity,pliability,itchiness and *** Two-way repeated ANOVA showed a significant difference between MT group and SGS group on scar *** post hoccomparison analysis showed that the difference was significant at the post-2-month （p=0.008） and post-6-month （p＜ 0.001） *** SGS group also showed changes in pigmentation which resembled normal skin but no statistical significance was ***,itchinessand pliability were also improved after intervention. 比较一些外国的文献,得悉外国人在烧伤后或手术后会生长出增生性瘢痕的机会率约是百分之五至三十八(Alhady & wivanantharaiah,1969;Dietch et al,1983),而华人会生长出增生性瘢痕的机会率高达百分之七十五(li-Tsang,2005)。正因为华人长出增生性瘢痕的机会率较高,我们致力于研究治疗增生性瘢痕的方法。当中以压力治疗法最为普遍,在六、七十年代时已被认同为有效而没有副作用的一种疗法,只可惜长久以来都没有充分的科学证据证明压力治疗法的疗效。我们最近刊登了一篇文献指出,使用随机对照试验的研究方法, 压力治疗法比硅酮敷料治疗法有效,特别是针对瘢痕的厚度(li-Tsang,2004)。
