w. investigated spinel chalcogenides HgLa_(2)(S/Se)_(4)by using density function theory,and scrutinized the structural,optical,electrical,mechanical and thermoelectric transport characteristics of HgLa_(2)(S/Se)_(4)spinel *** enthalpy of formation,energy of cohesion,and energy volume optimum plots w.re used to obtain the stability as w.ll as the perfect ground state of these *** ductility of these materials w.s the best illustrated w.th the help of Poisson's and Pugh's *** band gap results w.re obtained using Trans and Blaha modified Becke-Johanson potential(TB-mBJ).Both the materials present semi-conducting nature w.th direct band gap equal to 1.449 and 0.892 eV respectively for HgLa_(2)S_(4)and HgLa_(2)Se_(4).Calculations w.re also made for optical characteristics w.th the values of dielectric function,absorption coefficient,optical conductivity,reflectivity,and refractive *** to the findings,both of these materials are suitable for infrared optoelectronic *** materials w.re found to have promising optoelectronic and thermoelectric applications after their optical properties and transport aspects w.re *** tiny levels of temperature conductivities,substantial am ounts of pow.r conductivities,the figure of merit(more than unity),as w.ll as Seebecs coefficients all point to the potential use of both the materials in thermoelectric pow.r generators.

Low.molecular aromatic compounds are detrimental to the enzymatic hydrolysis of ***,the specific role of their functional groups remains ***,a series of nine aromatic compounds as additives w.re tested to understand their effect on the hydrolysis yield of microcrystalline cellulose(MCC)and alkaline pretreated w.eat *** on the results,the inhibition of aldehyde groups on MCC w.s greater than that of carboxyl groups,w.ereas for the alkaline pretreated w.eat straw.case,the inhibitory effect of aldehyde groups w.s low.r than that of carboxyl *** methoxyl groups of aromatic compounds reduced the inhibitory ef-fect on enzymatic hydrolysis of both *** inhibition of aromatic compounds on MCC hydrolysis w.s detected in comparison w.th the alkaline pretreated w.eat straw.indicating that the substrate lignin can offset the inhibition to a certain *** all aromatic com-pounds,syringaldehyde w.th one aldehyde group and tw. methoxyl groups improved the glucan conversion of the alkaline pretreated w.eat straw.

Lung cancer is a leading cause of global mortality *** detection of pulmonary tumors can significantly enhance the survival rate of ***,various Computer-Aided Diagnostic(CAD)methods have been developed to enhance the detection of pulmonary nodules w.th high ***,the existing method-ologies cannot obtain a high level of specificity and *** present study introduces a novel model for Lung Cancer Segmentation and Classification(LCSC),w.ich incorporates tw. improved architectures,namely the improved U-Net architecture and the improved AlexNet *** LCSC model comprises tw. distinct *** first stage involves the utilization of an improved U-Net architecture to segment candidate nodules extracted from the lung ***,an improved AlexNet architecture is employed to classify lung *** the first stage,the proposed model demonstrates a dice accuracy of 0.855,a precision of 0.933,and a recall of 0.789 for the segmentation of candidate *** suggested improved AlexNet architecture attains 97.06%accuracy,a true positive rate of 96.36%,a true negative rate of 97.77%,a positive predictive value of 97.74%,and a negative predictive value of 96.41%for classifying pulmonary cancer as either benign or *** proposed LCSC model is tested and evaluated employing the publically available dataset furnished by the Lung Image Database Consortium and Image Database Resource Initiative(LIDC-IDRI).This proposed technique exhibits remarkable performance compared to the existing methods by using various evaluation parameters.

The Emotional Intelligence and the Associated Factors among Nursing Students

Introduction: Emotional intelligence, or the capacity to cope one’s emotions, makes it simpler to form good connections w.th others and do caring duties. Nursing students can enroll a health team in a helpful and beneficial w.y w.th the use of emotional intelligence. Nurses w.o can identify, control, and interpret both their ow. emotions and those of their patients provide better patient care. The purpose of this study w.s to assess the emotional intelligence and to investigate the relationship and differences betw.en emotional intelligence and demographic characteristics of nursing students. Methods: A cross-sectional study w.s carried out on 381 nursing students. Data collection w.s completed by “Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test”. Data w.re analyzed w.th the Statistical Package for Social Science. An independent t test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation, multiple linear regression w.re used. Results: The results revealed that the emotional intelligence mean w.s 143.1 ± 21.6 (ranging from 33 to 165), w.ich is high. Also, the analysis revealed that most of the participants 348 (91.3%) had higher emotional intelligence level. This finding suggests that nursing students are emotionally intelligent and may be able to notice, analyze, control, manage, and harness emotion in an adaptive manner. Also, academic year of nursing students w.s a predictor of emotional intelligence. Furthermore, there w.s positive relationship betw.en the age and emotional intelligence (p w.s high. Also, academic year of nursing students w.s a predictor of emotional intelligence. In addition, a positive relationship w.s confirmed betw.en the emotional intelligence and age of nursing students. .

Finite element analysis and experimental validation of polymer-metal contacts in block-on-ring configuration

The w.ar profile analysis,obtained by different tribometers,is essential to characterise the w.ar ***,most of the available methods did not take the stress distribution over the w.ar profile in consideration,w.ich causes inaccurate *** this study,the w.ar profile of polymer–metal contact,obtained by block-on-ring configuration under dry sliding conditions,w.s analysed using finite element modelling(FEM)and experimental ***’s w.ar equation w.s integrated into a developed FORTRAN-UMESHMOTION code linked w.th Abaqus softw.re.A varying w.ar coefficient(k)values covering both running-in and steady state regions,and a range of applied loads involving both mild and severe w.ar regions w.re measured and implemented in the *** FEM w.s in good agreement w.th the *** model reproduced the stress distribution profiles under variable testing conditions,w.ile their values w.re affected by the sliding direction and maximum w.ar depth(hmax).The largest area of the w.ar profile,exposed to the average contact stresses,is defined as the normal *** the critical zones w.re characterized by high stress concentrations reaching up to 10 times of that at the normal *** w.ar profile w.s mapped to identify the critical zone w.ere the stress concentration is the key point in this *** surface features w.re examined in different regions using scanning electron microscope(SEM).Ultimately,SEM analysis show.d severer damage features in the critical zone than that in the normal zone as proven by ***,the literature data presented and considered the w.ar features the same at any point of the w.ar *** this study,the normal zone w.s determined at a stress value of about 0.5 MPa,w.ereas the critical zone w.s at about 5.5 *** w.ar behaviour of these tw. zones show.d totally different features from one another.
