Incubation of PbSe Thin films in a Tin(Ⅱ) Salt Aqueous Solution:Modification and Ion-Exchange Reactions

Topochemical ion-exchange reactions between solid micro- and nanostructured metal chalcogenides and aqueous salt solutions are generally used for formation of composite structures based on initial metal chalcogenides and products of their ion-exchange transformation. However, ion exchange has promises as a route to obtaining both composites and solid solutions based on the initial and the end chalcogenide phases. With the help of the ion-exchange technique, single-phase films of Phi xSnxSe substitutional solid solutions with a tin content up to -2 at.%, which are promising for mid- and long-wavelength infrared radiation （IR） optoelectronics, have been obtained at the interface between PbSe poly- crystalline thin films and SnCl2 aqueous solutions containing sodium citrate. It has been shown that the pH value and temperature of the reaction system play an important role in the ion-exchange process. Incubation of lead selenide （PbSe） films in a tin（II） salt aqueous solution also leads to their modification with oxygen-containing tin compounds to a depth of-3 nm. Differences in the film structure, such as changes in the coherent scattering region sizes and orientation of crystallites along the [220] direction, which arise during the contact with citrate-containing SnCl2 solutions, have also been revealed. for the first time, an idea of the existence of a relatively wide reaction zone of an intragranular topochemical ion-exchange reaction in an aqueous solution, within which substitutional solid solutions can form in micro- and nanostructured systems, has been set forth.

Comprehensive semen examination in patients with pancreatic-sufficient and pancreatic-insufficient cystic fibrosis

We examined a cohort of 93 cystic fibrosis(Cf)male patients who were pancreatic-sufficient(PS-Cf;n=40)or pancreatic-insufficient(PI-Cf;n=53).Complex semen examination was performed,including standard semen analysis,quantitative karyological analysis(QKA)of immature germ cells(IGCs),transmission electronic microscopy(TEM),biochemical analysis,and sperm DNA fragmentation by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nickend labeling(TUNEL)*** was diagnosed in 83(89.2%)*** other 10(10.8%)patients were found to be nonazoospermic and showed various spermatological diagnoses(asthenozoospermia,n=2;asthenoteratozoospermia,n=3;oligoasthenozoospermia,n=1;oligoasthenoteratozoospermia,n=3;and normozoospermia,n=1)with no specific morphological *** was detected in 89.2%azoospermic and 30.0%nonazoospermic *** seminal pH(found in 74(89.2%)of 83 azoospermic *** leukocytospermia(2.0×10^(6)-2.2×10^(6)ml^(-1))was revealed in 2.4%azoospermic and 40.0%nonazoospermic semen *** signs of partial meiotic arrest at prophase I were found in 4 of 6 nonazoospermic patients examined by QKA of *** content of fructose and citrate was low in oligospermic and normal in nonoligospermic semen *** increased percentage(>30%)of spermatozoa with noncondensed(“immature”)chromatin was revealed in 2 of 6 nonazoospermic semen samples analyzed by TEM.

Crystalline and melt inclusions were studied in garnet,diopside,potassium feldspar,and sphene from the garnet syenite porphyry of the carbonatite-bearing complex Mushugai-Khuduk,southern ***,clinopyroxene,albite,potassium feldspar,spheric,wollastonite,magnetite,Ca and Sr sulfates,fluorite,and apatite were identified among the crystalline inclusions. The melt inclusions were homogenized at 1010～1080℃and analyzed on an electron ***,salt,and combined silicate- salt melt inclusions were *** melts show considerable variations in SiO_2 concentration(56 to 66wt% ),high Na_2O+K_2O (up to 17wt% ),and elevated Zr,f,and C1 *** terms of bulk rock chemistry,the silicate melts are alkali *** thermometric experiments,salt melt inclusions quenched into homogeneous glasses of predominantly sulfate compositions containing no more than 1.3wt% SiO_*** melts are enriched in alkalis,Ba,Sr,P,f,and *** investigation of the silicate and salt melt inclusions in minerals of the garnet syenite porphyries indicate that these rocks were formed under influence of the processes of crystallization differentiation and magma separation into immiscible silicate and salt(sulfate)liquids.

Melt and fluid inclusions were studied in the minerals of Cenozoic olivine melanephelinites from the Chukchi Peninsula, *** rock contain several generations of olivine phenocrysts varying in composition at mg=0.88～*** phenocrysts bear fluid and melt inclusions recording various stages of melt crystallization in volcanic conduits and shallow magma *** fluid inclusions are CO_2-dominated with a density of up to O.93 g/cm^*** fluid inclusions are partially leaked,which is indicated by haloes of tiny fluid bubbles around large fluid inclusions in *** inclusions contain various daughter crystals,which were completely resorbed in thermometric experiments at about 1230℃.Assuming that this temperature corresponds to the entrapment conditions of the CO_2 fluid inclusions,the minimum pressure of the beginning of magma degassing is estimated as *** in the compositions of homogenized silicate melt inclusions indicate that olivine was the earliest crystalline phase followed by clinopyroxene,nepheline and *** sequence is in agreement with the mineralogy of the *** melts are strongly enriched in incompatible trace elements and volatiles(in addition to CO_2,high C1,f,and S contents were detected).There are some differences between the compositions of melts trapped in minerals from different *** in SiO_2,feO,and incompatible element contents are probably related to melt generations at various levels in a homogeneous mantle reservoir.

The Use of Medical Apparatus of THz-Therapy “Ka Ve Tche-O2-Orbit” on 129.0 GHz on Molecular Spectrum of Radiation and Absorbation of Atmospheric Oxygen in Healthy Volunteers and in Patients with Involutional Macular Degeneration

The study aims at the influence of THz radiation on 129.0 GHz of atmospheric oxygen on arterial pressure (A/P) and pulse, hemodynamic parameters of orbital arteries during the irradiation of biological active points of application in healthy volunteers and in patients with involutional macular degeneration (IMD). A decrease of systolic and diastolic components of arterial pressure and pulse, and a normalization of systolic velocity of bloodstream (CVB) and of resistance index (RI) in orbital arteries in patients with IMD are noticed. The results of the research are: 1) the method of THz influence on 129.0 GHz on molecular spectrum of radiation and absorbation of atmospheric oxygen is safe and doesn’t cause any negative side effects on common state in healthy volunteers and in patients with IMD;2) single influence of THz waves on 129.0 GHz on molecular spectrum of radiation and absorbation of atmospheric oxygen is caused to statistical important improvement in vascular system of eyeball.

Emerging 2D magnetic states in a graphene-based monolayer of EuC_(6)

Recent discoveries of intrinsic two-dimensional(2D)magnets open up vast opportunities to address fundamental problems in condensed matter physics,giving rise to applications from ultra-compact spintronics to quantum *** ever-growing material landscape of 2D magnets lacks,however,carbon-based systems,prominent in other areas of 2D *** measurements of the Eu/graphene compound-a monolayer of the EuC_(6) stoichiometry-reveal the emergence of 2D ferromagnetism but detailed studies of competing magnetic states are still ***,we employ element-selective X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS)and magnetic circular dichroism(XMCD)to establish the magnetic structure of monolayer *** system exhibits the anomalous Hall effect,negative magnetoresistance,and magnetization consistent with a ferromagnetic state but the saturation magnetic moment(about 2.5/%/Eu)is way too low for the half-filled f-shells of Eu^(2+)*** XAS/XMCD studies at the Eu L3 absorption edge probe the EuC6 magnetism in high fields and reveal the nature of the missing magnetic *** results are set against XMCD studies in Eu/silicene and Eu/germanene to establish monolayer EuC6 as a prominent member of the family of Eu-based 2D magnets combining the celebrated graphene properties with a strong magnetism of europium.
