The nomina. pressure ra.io of the ma.hine is nea. *** a.pressure ra.io often cha.a.terizes wha. would typica.ly be ca.led a.compressor, especia.ly if the compression work is performed in one sta.e. For the subject ma.hine of the present study, the compression work is split into 4 *** pa.er describes the design procedure for this blower, initia.ly focusing in depth on the tra.eoffs between work split,rotor dia.eter, a.d rotor va.e ba.k-sweep a.gle. The pa.er then presents a.further design a.d optimiza.ion work of different va.ia.ts of diffuser a.d deswirler ba.ed on a.rodyna.ic performa.ce for this 4 sta.es ra.ia. blower. The number of deswirler bla.es in the return cha.nel wa. reduced from 19 to 10 in considera.ion of ma.ufa.turing requirements.
