The 3PAKE(Three-Party Authenticated Key Exchange)protocol is a valuable cryptographic method that offers safe communication and permits two diverse parties to consent to a new safe meeting code using the trusted *** have been explored numerous 3PAKE protocols earlier to create a protected meeting code between users employing the trusted ***,existing modified 3PAKE protocols have numerous drawbacks and are incapable to provide desired secrecy against diverse attacks such as manin-the-middle,brute-force attacks,and many others in social *** this article,the authors proposed an improved as well as safe 3PAKE protocol based on the hash function and the symmetric encryption for the social *** authors utilized a well-acknowledged AVISPA tool to provide security verification of the proposed 3PAKE technique,and findings show that our proposed protocol is safer in opposition to active as well as passive attacks namely the brute-force,man-in-the-middle,parallel attack,and many ***,compared to other similar schemes,the proposed protocol is built with a reduced computing cost as our proposed protocol consumes less time in execution and offers high secrecy in the social networks with improved *** a result,this verified scheme is more efficient as well as feasible for implementation in the social networks in comparison to previous security *** multifarious authors carried out extensive research on 3PAKE protocols to offer safe communication,still there are vital opportunities to explore and implement novel improved protocols for higher safety in the social networks and mobile commerce environment in the future in opposition to diverse active as well as passive attacks.

A truncated accretion disk in the galactic black hole candidate source h1743–322

To investigate the geometry of the accretion disk in the source h1743-322, we have carried out a detailed X-ray temporal and spectral study using RXTE pointed observations. We have selected all data pertaining to the Steep Power Law （SPL） state during the 2003 outburst of this source. We find anti-correlated hard X-ray lags in three of the observations and the changes in the spectral and timing parameters （like the QPO frequency） confirm the idea of a truncated accretion disk in this source, Compiling data from similar observations of other sources, we find a correlation between the fractional change in the QPO frequency and the observed delay. We suggest that these observations indicate a definite size scale in the inner accretion disk （the radius of the truncated disk） and we explain the observed correlation using various disk parameters like Compton cooling time scale, viscous time scale etc..

Angiogenic peptide hydrogels for treatment of traumatic brain injury

Traumatic brain injury(TBI)impacts over 3.17 million *** of hemorrhage and coagulation caused by vascular disruption after TBI is critical for the recovery of *** pathologies play an important role in the underlying mechanisms of *** objective of this study is to evaluate a novel regenerative medicine for the injured tissue after brain *** utilized a recently described synthetic growth factor with angiogenic potential to facilitate vascular growth in situ at the injury *** work has shown how this injectable self-assembling peptide-based hydrogel(SAPh)creates a regenerative microenvironment for neovascularization at the injury *** assembly allows for thixotropy;the injectable drug delivery system provides sustained in vivo *** this study,a moderate blunt injury model was used to cause physical vascular damage and *** angiogenic SAPh was then applied directly on the injured rat *** day 7 post-TBI,significantly more blood vessels were observed than the sham and injury control group,as well as activation of VEGF-receptor 2,demonstrating the robust angiogenic response elicited by the angiogenic *** markers von-Willebrand factor(vWF)andα-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA)showed a concomitant increase with blood vessel density in response to the angiogenic ***,blood brain barrier integrity and blood coagulation were also examined as the parameters to indicate wound recovery post *** rescue examination by NeuN and myelin basic protein staining showed that the angiogenic SAPh may provide and neuroprotective benefit in the long-term recovery.

Peripheral nerve injuries induce a severe motor and sensory deficit. Since the availability of autologous nerve transplants for nerve repair is very limited, alternative treatment strategies are sought, including the use of tubular nerve guidance conduits(tNGCs). however, the use of tNGCs results in poor functional recovery and central necrosis of the regenerating tissue, which limits their application to short nerve lesion defects(typically shorter than 3 cm). Given the importance of vascularization in nerve regeneration, we hypothesized that enabling the growth of blood vessels from the surrounding tissue into the regenerating nerve within the tNGC would help eliminate necrotic processes and lead to improved regeneration. In this study, we reported the application of macroscopic holes into the tubular walls of silk-based tNGCs and compared the various features of these improved silk^(+) tNGCs with the tubes without holes(silk^(–) tNGCs) and autologous nerve transplants in an 8-mm sciatic nerve defect in rats. Using a combination of micro-computed tomography and histological analyses, we were able to prove that the use of silk^(+) tNGCs induced the growth of blood vessels from the adjacent tissue to the intraluminal neovascular formation. A significantly higher number of blood vessels in the silk^(+) group was found compared with autologous nerve transplants and silk^(–), accompanied by improved axon regeneration at the distal coaptation point compared with the silk^(–) tNGCs at 7 weeks postoperatively. In the 15-mm(critical size) sciatic nerve defect model, we again observed a distinct ingrowth of blood vessels through the tubular walls of silk^(+) tNGCs, but without improved functional recovery at 12 weeks postoperatively. Our data proves that macroporous tNGCs increase the vascular supply of regenerating nerves and facilitate improved axonal regeneration in a short-defect model but not in a critical-size defect model. The increasing demand for the development of unprecedented routes to access fluorinated molecules hasled researchers to perform intriguing research around the world. In this context, fluorinating reagents andfluorinated building blocks have been the two pillars for the generation of diverse organic ***, synthetic approaches involving transition-metal catalyzed C–h functionalization have tremendously evolved in the past two decades. Looking towards the great potential of the C–h functionalizationstrategy to maximize atom- and step-economy, the approach has been utilized for the synthesis of fluorinated molecules. Moreover, Fluorinated building blocks have been used in organic synthesis over the pastseveral decades;however newer strategies to use these building blocks have recently been explored. In thisreview, we have presented the advances made in the recent past in transition-metal catalyzed directed C–hfunctionalization with various fluorinated building blocks. The understanding of the mechanistic aspects ofdirected C–h activation has led to efficient design of newer protocols for cross-couplings involving fluorinated building blocks as one of the coupling partners. Furthermore, it has been observed that in almost allcases the outcome of the reaction is greatly influenced by the effect of fluorine.

Wear and Friction Properties of Electrodeposited Ni-Based Coatings Subject to Nano-enhanced Lubricant and Composite Coating

This paper presents research findings on the tribological performance of electrodeposited coatings subject to nano-lubricants with the addition of nano-Al2O3 and graphene and Ni/nano-Al2O3 composite coatings. Electrodeposited coatings were produced by using a pulse electrodeposition method. Tribological experiments were conducted by using a linear reciprocating ball on fiat sliding tribometer. Experimental results confirmed that the wear and friction resistance properties were significantly enhanced by doping of nano-effects in the lubricating oil and composite coating. The addition of Al2O3 nanoparticles in the lubricating oil showed the best tribological properties, followed by Ni-Al2O3 composite coatings and nano-oil with graphene. The surface morphology and microstructure of electrodeposited coatings were examined by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The wear mechanisms of these coatings subjected to tribological testing were investigated by post-test surface analyses. This research provides a novel approach to design durable nano-coatings for tribological applications in various industries such as automotive, aerospace, locomotive and renewable energy technologies.

Combined treatment of non-small cell lung cancer using radiotherapy and immunotherapy: challenges and updates

The efficacy of immunotherapy for advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)remains unsatisfactory,as the majority of patients either do not experience an objective response or acquire secondary *** a result,several methods to enhance the systemic efficacy of immunotherapy have been investigated,including a large area of active research by combining immunotherapy with radiation therapy(RT).Given the rapidly burgeoning concept of combining immunotherapy and RT for increasing therapeutic benefit,we review the progress in this field thus far and explore further avenues for enhancing this *** review commences with a discussion of the only two existing randomized trials(and a pooled analysis)showing that the addition of RT to immunotherapy improves the abscopal response rate,progression-free survival,and overall survival in metastatic NSCLC *** then discussed factors and biomarkers that may be associated with a proportionally greater benefit to additional RT,such as low programmed cell death protein ligand 1(PD-L1)status,tumor mutational burden(TMB),and patient’s immune ***,the implementation of RT to overcome immunotherapy resistance is discussed,including a mechanistic discussion and methods with which these mechanisms could be ***,the emerging role of low-dose RT is discussed,which may help to overcome inhibitory signals in the tumor stroma that limit T-cell *** together,given the current state of this rapidly expanding realm,these futuristic strategies may be reflected upon to further enhance the efficacy of immunotherapy for a wider group of patients.

Clinical efficacy of the over-the-scope clip device: A systematic review

BACKGROUND The over-the-scope clip(OTSC)system has been increasingly utilized as a nonsurgical option to endoscopically manage refractory gastrointestinal(GI)hemorrhage,perforations/luminal defects and *** data exist evaluating the efficacy and safety of *** To determine the clinical success and adverse event(AE)rates of OTSC across all GI *** A PubMed search was conducted for eligible articles describing the application of the OTSC system for any indication in the GI *** article or case series reporting data for less than 5 total patients was *** primary outcome was the rate of clinical *** outcomes included:Technical success rate,OTSC-related AE rate and requirement for surgical intervention despite-OTSC *** rates(per-indication and overall)were calculated as the number of patients with the event of interest divided by the total number of *** A total of 85 articles met our inclusion criteria(n=3025 patients).OTSC was successfully deployed in 94.4%of patients(n=2856/3025).The overall rate of clinical success(all indications)was 78.4%(n=2371/3025).Per-indication clinical success rates were as follows:(1)86.0%(1120/1303)for GI hemorrhage;(2)85.3%(399/468)for perforation;(3)55.8%(347/622)for fistulae;(4)72.6%(284/391)for anastomotic leaks;(5)92.8%(205/221)for defect closure following endoscopic resection(e.g.,following endoscopic mucosal resection or endoscopic submucosal dissection);and(6)80.0%(16/20)for stent ***’s related to the deployment of OTSC were only reported in 64 of 85 studies(n=1942 patients),with an overall AE rate of 2.1%(n=40/1942).Salvage surgical intervention was required in 4.7%of patients(n=143/3025).CONCLUSION This systematic review demonstrates that the OTSC system is a safe and effective endoscopic therapy to manage GI hemorrhage,perforations,anastomotic leaks,defects created by endoscopic resections and for stent *** success in fistula
