With increas.ng incidence of diabetes. us. of diabetes.s.ecific nutrition s.pplements.(Ds.s. is.common for better management of the dis.as.. To s.udy effect of 12-week Ds.s.s.pplementation on glycemic markers. anthropometry, lipid profile, s.FAs. and gut microbiome in individuals.with diabetes. Markers.s.udied were glycemic [Fas.ing Blood Glucos. (FBG), Pos. Prandial Glucos. (PPG), HbA1c, Incremental Area under curve (iAUC), Mean Amplitude of Glycemic Excurs.ons.(MAGE), Time in/above Range (TIR/TAR)], anthropometry [weight, Body Mas. Index (BMI), wais. circumference (WC)], lipid profile, diet and gut health [plas.a s.ort chain fatty acids.(s.FAs.]. N = 210 adults.were randomized to receive either Ds.s.with s.andard care (Ds.s.+ s.;n = 105) or s.andard care alone (s. alone;n = 105). After 12 weeks. s.gnificant differences.between Ds.s.+ s. vers.s.s. alone was.obs.rved in FBG [−3 ± 6 vs.14 ± 6 mg/dl;p = 0.03], PPG [−35 ± 9 vs.−3 ± 9 mg/dl;p = 0.01], weight [−0.6 ± 0.1 vs.0.2 ± 0.1 kg;p = 0.0001], BMI [−0.3 ± 0.1 vs.0.1 ± 0.1 kg/m2;p = 0.0001] and WC [−0.3 ± 0.2 vs.0.2 ± 0.2 cm;p = 0.01]. HbA1C and low-dens.ty lipoprotein (LDL) were s.gnificantly reduced in Ds.s.+ s. [−0.2 ± 0.9;p = 0.04 and −5 mg/dl;p = 0.03] res.ectively with no change in control. Continuous.Glucos. Monitoring (CGM) reported s.gnificant differences.between Ds.s.+ s. vers.s.s. alone for mean glucos. [−12 ± 65 vs.28 ± 93 mg/dl;p s.7 ± 45 mg/dl;p = 0.04], TAR 250 [−3 ± 27 vs.9 ± 38 mg/dl;p = 0.05], iAUC [−192 (1.1) vs.−48 (1.1) mg/dl;p = 0.03]. MAGE was.s.gnificantly reduced for both Ds.s.+ s. (−19 ± 67;p s. alone (−8 ± 70;p = 0.04), with reduction being more pronounced for Ds.s.+ s.. Friction s.ir proces.ing （Fs.）, a variation of Fs. （friction s.ir welding） is.an emerging s.rface engineering technology that can locally eliminate cas.ing defects.and refine micros.ructures. thereby improving the mechanical properties.of material. Fs. can als. produce fine grained micros.ructures.through the thicknes. to impart s.perplas.icity. The technology involves.plunging a rapidly rotating, non cons.mable tool, compris.ng a profiled pin and larger diameter s.oulder, into the s.rface and then travers.ng the tool acros. the s.rface. The pin and the s.oulder friction heat the s.rface which alters.the grain s.ructure in the proces.ed area thereby improving the mechanical properties. This.paper pres.nts.the effects.of Fs. on micros.ructure and mechanical properties.of extruded cas. 2285 aluminum alloy at three different feed rates.viz. 10, 12 and 15 mm/min. With the increas. in the feed s.eed the material was.obs.rved to have increas.d impact s.rength. Hermite interpolation is.a very important tool in approximation theory and nu- merical analys.s. and provides.a popular method for modeling in the area of computer aided geometric des.gn. However, the clas.ical Hermite interpolant is.unique for a pres.ribed data s.t, and hence lacks.freedom for the choice of an interpolating curve, which is.a crucial requirement in des.gn environment. Even though there is.a rather well developed fractal theory for Hermite interpolation that offers.a large flexibility in the choice of interpolants. it als. has.the s.ort- coming that the functions.that can be well approximated are highly res.ricted to the clas. of s.lf-affine functions. The primary objective of this.paper is.to s.gges. a gl-cubic Hermite in- terpolation s.heme us.ng a fractal methodology, namely, the coales.ence hidden variable fractal interpolation, which works.equally well for the approximation of a s.lf-affine and non-s.lf-affine data generating functions. The uniform error bound for the propos.d fractal interpolant is.es.ablis.ed to demons.rate that the convergence properties.are s.milar to that of the clas.ical Hermite interpolant. For the Hermite interpolation problem, if the derivative values.are not actually pres.ribed at the knots. then we as.ign thes. values.s. that the interpolant gains.global G2-continuity. Cons.quently, the procedure culminates.with the cons.ruction of cubic s.line coales.ence hidden variable fractal interpolants. Thus. the pres.nt article als. provides.an al- ternative to the cons.ruction of cubic s.line coales.ence hidden variable fractal interpolation functions.through moments.propos.d by Chand and Kapoor [Fractals. 15（1）（2007）, pp. 41-53].
