Passive optical networks (PONs) offer suffi-cient bandwidth to transfer huge amount having different packet sizes and data rates being generated by fusion of various networks. Additionally, multiple optical line terminals (OLTs) PONs reduce the computational com-plexity of data processing for nonuniform traffic. However, in order to improve the bandwidth allocation efficiency of a mixture of service providers, dynamic bandwidth algo-rithm (DBA) is needed for uplink communication. In this paper, a PON based open access network (OAN) is analyzed for bi-directional communication at various data rates. Multiple wavelengths are used to modulate the data of various service providers to evade the complicated DBA for uplink data broadcasting. The performance of the network is reported in terms of bandwidth exploitation, uplink effectiveness, overhead-to-data ratio and time cycle duration. The network is analyzed at various data rates to reveal the data accommodation capacity.

Application of Fractional Order PID Controller for AGC Under Deregulated Environment

In this paper, a fractional order proportional integral derivative （FOPID） controller for multiarea automatic generation control （AGC） scheme has been designed. FOPID controller has five parameters and provides two additional degrees of flexibility in comparison to a proportional integral derivative （PID） controller. The optimal values of parameters of FOPID controller have been determined using Big Bang Big Crunch （BBBC） search algorithm. The designed controller regulates real power output of generators to achieve the best dynamic response of frequency and tie-line power on a load perturbation. The complete scheme for designing of the controllers has been developed and demonstrated on multiarea deregulated power system. The performance of the designed FOPID controllers has been compared with the optimally tuned PID controllers. It is observed from the results that the FOPID controller shows a considerable improvement in the performance as compared to the conventional PID controller.

Objective:To examine the role of heat shock protein 90(Hsp90) in the maintenance of actin cytoskeleton in human neuroblastoma tumor ***:Co-precipitation experiments were performed to examine Hsp90 interaction with ***90 and actin interactions were evaluated by protein refolding and acto-myosin motility assays.17-(AUylamino)-17- demethoxygeldanamycin(17AAG) induced actin-cytoskeleton re-organization was examined by laser scanning confocal ***:It was shown that inhibition of Hsp90 by 17AAC accelerates detergent induced cell lysis of neuroblastoma tumor cells through destabilization of actin *** in vitro co-precipitation experiments showed that functional but not mutant Hsp90 binds with *** biochemical modifications,phopshorylation and oligomerization enhanced Hsp90 binding with F-actin.F-actin binding to Hsp90 interfered with Hsp90 chaperone activity in protein refolding assays,and Hsp90 binding to F-actin interfered with actin motility on myosin coated flow *** the combination treatment,17AAG irreversibly augmented the effect of cytochalasin D,an inhibitor of actin ***:It can be concluded that Hsp90 binds to F-actin in tumor cells and maintains the cellular integrity. The results display a novel element of Hsp90 inhibition in destabilizing the actin cytoskeleton of tumor cells,therefore suggest that 17AAG combination with cytoskeletal disruptor may be effective in combating cancer.

Consumption of processed foods—which are generally composed of nutritionally starved refined ingredients—has increased exponentially worldwide.A rise in public health awareness that low fiber intake is strongly linked to new-age disorders has spurred food manufacturers to fortify processed foods with refined dietary fibers(rDFs).Consumption of whole foods rich in natural fibers undoubtedly confers an array of health ***,it is not clear whether rDFs extracted from the whole plant,kernel,and fruit peels exert similar physiological effects to their naturally occurring *** studies caution that rDFs are not universally beneficial and that inappropriate consumption of rDFs may risk both gastrointestinal and liver ***,we briefly summarize the beneficial and detrimental effects of rDFs on digestive health and discuss the contribution of metabolites derived from microbial fermentation of rDFs in driving such positive or negative health outcomes.

Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Mn(II) complexes synthesized by reflux of 6-bromo-3-(3-(4-chlorophenyl)acryloyl)-2H- chromen-2-one, Ciprofloxacin and various transition metal. 1H, 13C, Ir and ESI Mass confirm the formation of ligand. The metal complexes were characterized on the basis of various spectroscopic techniques like Ir studies and elemental analysis while the geometry of complexes was octahedral which is confirmed by electronic spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. The compounds were subjected to antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-tubercular activity screening using serial broth dilution method and Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) is determined. Mn(II) complex has shown significant antifungal activity with an MIC of 6.25 μg/ml while Cu(II) complex is noticeable for antibacterial activity at the same concentration. Anti-TB activity of the ligand has enhanced on complexation with Ni(II) and Co(II) ions. While Ni(II) complex shows superior antioxidant activity than other complexes.

Wireless systems and standards are now progressing toward the implementation of fifth generation (5G) to combat with an expected and explosive growth of demands of wireless services in future. Consequently, wireless interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX) with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) technology at its physical layer is being utilized for the uplink and downlink transmission to afford the high spectral efficiency in fading environments. However, the 5G implementation requires additional improvements to meet the futuristic stress. This work proposes an innovative solution that combines WiMAX system with multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology to meet the required elevated data rates as desired by the growing application needs of 5G. MIMO is capable to fulfil the vision of 5G to realize a huge number of base stations equipped with a large number of terminals to be served in the same time-frequency resource without severe inter-user interference. Furthermore, the proposed system is demon- strated incorporation with discrete wavelet transform (DWT), and fractional Fourier transforms (FrFTs) in the physical layer of the WiMAX system. The evaluated outcomes exemplify a considerable improvement in bit error rate (BEr) performance in contrast with the earlier reported work.

The exponential increase in IoT device usage has spawned numerous cyberspace *** devices,sensors,and actuators bridge the gap between physical processes and the cyber network in a cyber-physical system(CPS).Cyber-physical system is a complex system from a security perspective due to the heterogeneous nature of its components and the fact that IoT devices can serve as an entry point for *** adversaries design their attack strategies on systems to gain an advantage at a relatively lower cost,whereas abusive adversaries initiate an attack to inflict maximum damage without regard to cost or *** this paper,a sensor spoofing attack is modelled as a malicious adversary attempting to cause system failure by interfering with the feedback control *** is accomplished by feeding spoofed sensor values to the controller and issuing erroneous commands to the *** on a Simulink-simulated linear CPS support the proof of concept for the proposed abusive ideology,demonstrating three attack *** impact of the evaluations stresses the importance of testing the CPS security against adversaries with abusive settings for preventing ***,the research concludes by highlighting the limitations of the proposed work,followed by recommendations for the future.
