Epiphytic orchids exhibit varying degrees of phorophyte tree *** orchid species show a strong phorophyte preference,while other species associate with a broad range of tree *** trees that carry epiphytic orchids play a crucial role in orchid life cycle,little is known about this phorophyte-epiphyte *** performed a pilot study to investigate why epiphytic orchids prefer or avoid certain *** question becomes more puzzling when the preferred trees differ among epiphytes that seem to mutually exclude each other,within the same *** this reason,we selected two orchid species,Panisea uniflora and Bulbophyllum odoratissimum co-occurring in a forest habitat in southern China,where they showed a specific association with Quercus yiwuensis and Pistacia weinmannifolia trees,*** analysed a number of environmental factors potentially influencing the relationship between orchids and trees,including bark and orchid root fungal *** in bark features,such as water holding capacity and pH were recorded between *** and ***,which could influence both orchid seed germination and fungal diversity on the two *** and molecular culture-based methods,combined with metabarcoding analyses,were used to assess fungal communities associated with studied orchids and trees.A total of 162 fungal species in 74 genera were isolated from bark *** two genera,Acremonium and Verticillium,were shared by the two phorophyte *** analysis confirmed the presence of significantly different fungal communities on the investigated tree and orchid species,with considerable similarity between each orchid species and its host tree,suggesting that the orchid-host tree association is influenced by the fungal communities of the host tree bark.

Coastal zones are dynamic,rich environments,now densely populated,and increasingly challenged by human and climatechange *** long-term integrated coastal zone planning is needed to ensure sustainable environmental protection and economic *** this study,we reviewed the history of coastal zone planning since its birth in the 1950s based on the literature retrieved from the Web of science(Core Collection)from 2000–2023,then summarized the tools and spatial allocation methods commonly used in the planning process,and finally proposed potential solutions to the challenges *** results show that after decades of development,coastal zone planning has changed from a decentralized activity to a targeted and integrated one,with an increasing emphasis on the ecosystem approach and the use of multiple planning *** analysis techniques and environmental modelling software have become increasingly *** programming and overlay analysis are common approaches when performing spatial optimization,but land-sea interactions and planning in the marine parts still lack in-depth analysis and practical *** are also aware that the challenges posed by the integration of administrative hierarchies,scoping and conservation objectives,stakeholder participation,consideration of social dimensions,and climate change are pervasive throughout the planning *** is an urgent need to develop more flexible and accurate spatial modelling tools,as well as more efficient participatory methods,and to focus on the holistic nature of the land-sea system to create more resilient and sustainable coastal zones.

for a set s of real numbers, we introduce the concept of s-almost automorphic functions valued in a Banach space. It generalizes in particular the space of Z-almost automorphic functions. Considering the space of s-almost automorphic functions, we give sufficient conditions of the existence and uniqueness of almost automorphic solutions of a differential equation with a piecewise constant argument of generalized type. this is done using the Banach fixed point theorem.

Artificial Intelligence Adoption for Cybersecurity in Africa

Legacy-based threat detection systems have not been able to keep up with the exponential growth in scope, frequency, and effect of cybersecurity threats. Artificial intelligence is being used as a result to help with the issue. this paper’s primary goal is to examine how African nations are utilizing artificial intelligence to defend their infrastructure against cyberattacks. Artificial intelligence (AI) systems will make decisions that impact Africa’s future. the lack of technical expertise, the labor pool, financial resources, data limitations, uncertainty, lack of structured data, absence of government policies, ethics, user attitudes, insufficient investment in research and development, and the requirement for more adaptable and dynamic regulatory systems all pose obstacles to the adoption of AI technologies in Africa. the paper discusses how African countries are adopting artificial intelligence solutions for cybersecurity. And it shows the impact of AI to identify shadow data, monitor for abnormalities in data access and alert cyber security professionals about potential threats by anyone accessing the data or sensitive information saving valuable time in detecting and remediating issues in real-time. the study finds that 69.16% of African companies are implementing information security strategies and of these, 45% said they use technologies based on AI algorithms. this study finds that a large number of African businesses use tools that can track and analyze user behaviour in designated areas and spot anomalies, such as new users, strange IP addresses and login activity, changes to permissions on files, folders, and other resources, and the copying or erasure of massive amounts of data. thus, we discover that just 18.18% of the target has no national cybersecurity strategy or policy. the study proposes using big data security analytics to integrate AI. In today’s rapid widespread of digital technologies into all live aspects to enhance efficiency and productivity on the one hand and on the other hand ensure customer engagement, personal data counterfeiting has become a major concern for businesses and end-users. One solution to ensure data security is encryption, where keys are central. there is therefore a need to find robusts key generation implementation that is effective, inexpensive and non-invasive for protecting and preventing data counterfeiting. In this paper, we use the theory of electromagnetic wave propagation to generate encryption keys.

We analyse the Diophantine equation of fermat xp yp = zp with p > 2 a prime, x, y, z positive nonzero integers. We consider the hypothetical solution (a, b, c) of previous equation. We use fermat main divisors, Diophantine remainders of (a, b, c), an asymptotic approach based on Balzano Weierstrass Analysis theorem as tools. We construct convergent infinite sequences and establish asymptotic results including the following surprising one. If z y = 1 then there exists a tight bound N such that, for all prime exponents p > N , we have xp yp zp.

Background:Atherosclerosis forms the pathological basis for the development of cardiovascular *** pathological processes initially develop without clinically relevant symptoms,the identification of early markers in the subclinical stage plays an important role for initiating early *** is evidence that regulatory t cells(tregs)are involved in the development of ***,the present study aimed to identify and investigate associations with tregs and their subsets in a cohort of healthy elderly individuals with and without subclinical atherosclerotic plaques(sAP).In addition,various lifestyle and risk factors,such as cardiorespiratory fitness,were investigated as associated ***:A cross-sectional study was performed in 79 participants(male:n=50;age=63.6±3.7 years;body mass index=24.9±3.1 kg/m2;mean±sD)who had no previous diagnosis of chronic disease and were not taking *** of the carotids to identify sAP,cardiovascular function measurement for vascular assessment and a cardiorespiratory fitness test to determine peak oxygen uptake were ***,tests were conducted to assess blood lipids and determine glucose *** of tregs and their subtypes(resting(rtregs)and effector/memory(mtregs))was performed by 8-chanel flow *** were categorized according to atherosclerotic plaque *** and logistic regression models were used to analyze associations between ***:sAP was detected in a total of 29 *** participants with plaque were older(64.8±3.6 years vs.62.9±3.5 years)and had higher peripheral systolic blood pressure(133.8±14.7 mmHg vs.125.8±10.9 mmHg).the participants with sAP were characterized by a lower percentage of rtregs(28.8%±10.7%vs.34.6%±10.7%)and a higher percentage of mtregs(40.3%±14.7%vs.30.0%±11.9%).Multiple logistic regression identified age(odds ratio(OR)=1.20(95%confidence interval(95%CI):1.011.42))and
