The Ohmically heated circular limiter tokamak ADITYA （R0 = 75 cm, a = 25 cm） has been upgraded to a tokamak named the ADITYA Upgrade （ADITYA-U） with an open divertor configuration with divertor plates. The main goal of ADITYA-U is to carry out dedicated experiments relevant for bigger fusion machines including ITER, such as the generation and control of runaway electrons, disruption prediction, and mitigation studies, along with an improvement in confinement with shaped plasma. The ADITYA tokamak was dismantled and the assembly of ADITYA-U was completed in March 2016. Integration of subsystems like data acquisition and remote operation along with plasma production and preliminary plasma characterization of ADITYA-U plasmas are presented in this paper.

BACKGROUND Acute pancreatitis(AP)in liver transplant(LT)recipients may lead to poor clinical outcomes and development of severe *** We aimed to assess national trends,clinical outcomes,and the healthcare burden of LT hospitalizations with AP in the United States(US).METHODS The National Inpatient Sample was utilized to identify all adult(≥18 years old)LT hospitalizations with AP in the US from 2007–***-LT AP hospitalizations served as controls for comparative *** trends of hospitalization characteristics,clinical outcomes,complications,and healthcare burden for LT hospitalizations with AP were *** characteristics,clinical outcomes,complications,and healthcare burden were also compared between the LT and non-LT ***,predictors of inpatient mortality for LT hospitalizations with AP were *** P values≤0.05 were considered statistically *** The total number of LT hospitalizations with AP increased from 305 in 2007 to 610 in *** was a rising trend of Hispanic(16.5%in 2007 to 21.1%in 2018,P-trend=0.0009)and Asian(4.3%in 2007 to 7.4%in 2019,p-trend=0.0002)LT hospitalizations with AP,while a decline was noted for Blacks(11%in 2007 to 8.3%in 2019,P-trend=0.0004).Furthermore,LT hospitalizations with AP had an increasing comorbidity burden as the Charlson Comorbidity Index(CCI)score≥3 increased from 41.64%in 2007 to 62.30%in 2019(P-trend<0.0001).We did not find statistically significant trends in inpatient mortality,mean length of stay(LOS),and mean total healthcare charge(THC)for LT hospitalizations with AP despite rising trends of complications such as sepsis,acute kidney failure(AKF),acute respiratory failure(ARF),abdominal abscesses,portal vein thrombosis(PVT),and venous thromboembolism(VTE).Between 2007–2019,6863 LT hospitalizations with AP were compared to 5649980 non-LT AP *** hospitalizations with AP were slightly older(53.5 vs 52.6 years,P=0.017)and

炎症性肠病(IBD)亚洲焦点Ⅱ会议于2010年3月在上海召开,会议提出,在过去的十年里,IBD在亚洲地区广为报道,而且许多方面与西方国家相比具有差异,因此关注亚洲地区IBD的特点,明确与西方的差别,对亚洲IBD的诊断与治疗都具有重要意义。临床指南可以为IBD临床实践提供指导及标准,然而,临床指南通常都很长而且复杂,漫长的审查过程导致的应用滞后性也限制了指南的实效性。因此制定一个简明扼要的共识条例具有重要意义。此次会议学习并讨论了2009年7月由亚洲地区IBD工作组在澳门制定的一份共识条例,本文学习并总结了该共识条例相关内容。

Background: Atrial fibrillation commonly occurs following cardiac surgery, particularly after coronary artery bypass grafting. Magnesium, known for its stabilizing effect on cell membranes, has shown promise in preventing postoperative atrial fibrillation. This study aimed to assess the impact of intravenous magnesium infusion in preventing atrial fibrillation after off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, where maintaining stable cell membranes is crucial in averting this complication. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, from March 2020 to February 2022. Sixty-six patients who underwent off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting were enrolled and divided into two groups. Group A (n = 33) received intravenous magnesium sulfate (10 mmol/2.47gm) for three days after surgery, while Group B (n = 33) did not receive magnesium sulfate. Postoperative atrial fibrillation occurrence in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within three days after surgery was evaluated using convenient sampling. Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS version 26.0, utilizing independent Student’s t-test for continuous data and Chi-square and Fisher’s exact test for categorical data. A p-value of ≤0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: No significant differences in age or gender were observed between the two groups. Group B exhibited significantly lower magnesium levels than Group A on the 0th, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd days post-surgery. Additionally, Group B experienced a higher incidence of postoperative atrial fibrillation, longer ICU stays, and two mortalities. The study did not detect any adverse effects associated with magnesium infusion. Conclusion: It has been demonstrated that administering magnesium intravenously after off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting can lower the chances of developing atrial fibrillation. 目的:探讨辛伐他汀对大鼠心肌缺血再灌注后细胞凋亡及线粒体融合素2(Mitofusin 2,Mfn2)表达的影响。方法:选取32只Sprague-Dawley(SD)大鼠,随机分为假手术组、缺血再灌注模型组(模型组)、5 mg辛伐他汀组、10 mg辛伐他汀组,每组8只。5 mg辛伐他汀组、10 mg辛伐他汀组分别于术前7 d开始给予5 mg/(kg·d)、10 mg/(kg·d)的辛伐他汀灌胃,假手术组、模型组均给予等量蒸馏水灌胃。采用结扎左前降支法建立大鼠心肌缺血再灌注损伤模型。各组于造模后3 h剪取心脏组织,采用TUNEL法检测心肌细胞凋亡,Western Blot法检测p-Akt的表达,免疫组织化学法检测Mfn2的表达。结果 :与假手术组相比较,模型组心肌细胞凋亡指数、Mfn2的表达明显升高,p-Akt的表达显著降低(均P<0.05);与模型组比较,5 mg辛伐他汀组、10 mg辛伐他汀组心肌细胞凋亡指数、Mfn2的表达显著降低,p-Akt的表达显著升高(均P<0.05),并显示出明显剂量依赖性(P<0.05)。结论:辛伐他汀可有效抑制心肌缺血再灌注损伤后的心肌细胞凋亡,抑制Mfn2表达是其可能作用机制。
