Effects of quantitative feed restriction and sex on carcass traits,meat quality and meat lipid profile of Morada Nova lambs

Background: An experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of feed restriction(FR) and sex on the quantitative and qualitative carcass traits of Morada Nova lambs. Thirty-five animals with an initial body weight of 14.5 ± 0.89 kg and age of 120 d were used in a completely randomized study with a 3 × 3 factorial scheme consisting of three sexes(11 entire males, 12 castrated males and 12 females) and three levels of feeding(ad libitum – AL and 30% and 60% FR).Results: Entire males presented greater hot and cold carcass weights(P castrated males and females. However, the hot carcass yield was higher for females and castrated males than for entire males. Luminosity values were influenced(P castrated males and *** showed higher(P concentrations of linoleic acid and arachidonic acid in the meat of the longissimus thoracis muscle. The meat of animals submitted to AL intake and 30% FR showed similar(P > 0.05) concentrations, and the concentrations of palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and conjugated linoleic acid were higher(P concentration of desirable fatty acids in addition to a greater atherogenicity index(AI) and thrombogenicity index(TI).conclusion: Lambs of different sexes had carcasses with different quantitative traits without total influence on the chemical and physical meat characteristics. The lipid profile of the meat was less favorable to consumer health when the animals were female or submitted to 60% feed restriction.

Objective:To investigate the morphological structure of ovarian follicular cells and biochemical parameters of both ovaries and fat bodies(sites of vitellogenesis)from Rhodnius(R.)prolixus infected with Trypanosoma(T.)***:Adult virgin females of *** were fed upon a membrane apparatus containing heat-inactivated citrated rabbit blood and a suspension of *** epimastigotes(Macias strain).Females from the control group and all the males received parasite-free *** electron microscopy was used to reveal the morphological aspects of ovarian follicle cells in both control and parasite-infected *** profile,proteolytic activities and Western blotting analyses were performed in either ovary or fat body samples of control and parasite-infected ***:According to the ultrastructural data,*** infection elicited a degeneration process in the ovarian follicular cells of *** assays indicated a reduction in the activity of aspartic peptidases in the ovary and fat body from parasite-infected group,while a significant increase in the cysteine peptidase activity was measured in both insect ***,immunoblotting revealed that vitellogenin was overexpressed in the ovary of parasite-infected ***:*** infection seems to elicit an early programmed cell death in the ovarian follicle cells as well as induces the modulation on the activities of different peptidase classes in either ovaries or fat bodies and the overexpression of the vitellogenin in the ovary of ***.

We investigated the effect of annealing time on the structure and optical properties of Sr WO4：Eu^3＋ powders prepared by the non-hydrolytic sol-gel method and heat treated at 800 ℃ for 2,4,8 and 16 *** and differential thermal analyses revealed that Sr WO4：Eu^3＋ powders were obtained at about 800 ℃.X-ray diffraction patterns and Rietveld refinement data confirmed that all powders had a scheelite-type tetragonal ***-Raman and Fourier transform infrared spectra indicated structural order at short range and anti-symmetric stretching vibrations of O-W-O bonds associated with tetrahedral[WO4]*** properties were investigated by ultraviolet-visible（UV-vis）diffuse reflectance,and photoluminescence（PL）data which provided the evolution of quantum efficiency（η）and lifetime（τ）.UV-vis spectroscopy evidenced intermediate energy levels within the band gap of Sr WO4：Eu^3＋ *** properties validated that the Eu^3＋ electric-dipole（^5D0→^7F2）transition in PL emission spectra was dominant which proved that Eu^3＋ ions were positioned in a site without an inversion center.[（^5D0→^7F2）/（^5D0→^7F1）]band ratios showed that Eu^3＋ ions were located in a low symmetry *** PL emission,ηandτproved the dependence on the annealing time in the behavior of Sr WO4：Eu3＋powders with a higher relative emission PL intensity as well as higherηandτvalues related to other samples when heat treated at 800℃ for 8 h.

中俄关系在俄罗斯远东地区表现在大规模“中国存在”的幻象同俄罗斯行政部门及本地民众针对“吸引中国资本发展远东经济”所表达的情绪和态度之间的差异,这种幻象的产生与21世纪第二个十年俄罗斯东部地区经济与人口状况密切相关。整体上俄罗斯政府和民众对此抱有正面和积极的心态。俄罗斯政府和民众意识中已牢固形成“与中国密切交往时要保持一定限度”的心态。中国政府和大企业对参与俄罗斯远东地区经济活动并不热衷。中国参与俄罗斯沿太平洋地区经济生活统计资料显示,在俄罗斯沿太平洋地区中国的经济规模和影响并不突出。结论是:在俄罗斯“中国扩张”不断加剧的观点和专家的预测,以及社会和民众的恐惧心理之间存在较深的割裂。在中俄两国政府希望加大中国资本投入,发展俄罗斯远东地区经济的设想与中国企业参与的现实状况之间也存在巨大反差。

Impact of Land Degradation on Soil Microbial Biomass and Activity in Northeast Brazil

Land degradation causes great changes in the soil biological *** process of degradation may decrease soil microbial biomass and consequently decrease soil microbial *** study was conducted out during 2009 and 2010 at the four sites of land under native vegetation(NV),moderately degraded land(LDL),highly degraded land(HDL) and land under restoration for four years(RL) to evaluate changes in soil microbial biomass and activity in lands with different degradation levels in comparison with both land under native vegetation and land under restoration in Northeast *** samples were collected at 0-10 cm *** organic carbon(SOc),soil microbial biomass c(MBc) and N(MBN),soil respiration(SR),and hydrolysis of fluorescein diacetate(FDA) and dehydrogenase(DHA) activities were *** two years of evaluation,soil MBc,MBN,FDA and DHA had higher values in the NV,followed by the *** decreases of soil microbial biomass and enzyme activities in the degraded lands were approximately 8-10 times as large as those found in the ***,after land restoration,the MBc and MBN increased approximately 5-fold and 2-fold,respectively,compared with the *** results showed that land degradation produced a strong decrease in soil microbial ***,land restoration may promote short-and long-term increases in soil microbial biomass.

Bat algorithm(BA)is an eminent meta-heuristic algorithm that has been widely used to solve diverse kinds of optimization *** leverages the echolocation feature of bats produced by imitating the bats’searching *** faces premature convergence due to its local search *** of using the standard uniform walk,the Torus walk is viewed as a promising alternative to improve the local search *** this work,we proposed an improved variation of BA by applying torus walk to improve diversity and *** *** computerized Bat Algorithm(McBA)approach has been examined for fifteen well-known benchmark test *** finding of our technique shows promising performance as compared to the standard PSO and standard *** proposed McBA,BPA,Standard PSO,and Standard BA have been examined for well-known benchmark test problems and training of the artificial neural network(ANN).We have performed experiments using eight benchmark datasets applied from the worldwide famous machine-learning(ML)repository of *** results have shown that the training of an ANN with McBA-NN algorithm tops the list considering exactness,with more superiority compared to the traditional *** McBA-NN algorithm may be used effectively for data classification and statistical problems in the future.
