Study of Propagation of Ion Acoustic Waves in Argon Plasma

The properties of small amplitude acoustic waves (IAW) in unmagnetised plasma have been discussed in detail. An experimental set up to study the propagation of IAW in argon plasma has been descried. The speed of IAW under different conditions of discharge current and pressure has been measured from the time-of flight technique. From these measurements, electron temperatures have been calculated. The results have been compared with those obtained by single probe method, and were found to be in good agreement with each other so IAW speeds can be used to calculate plasma parameters.

The present paper reports Thermoluminescence (TL) Glow curve of Mn2+ doped CaAl2O4 phosphor with different UV exposure time. The Glow peak shows general order kinetics and evaluation of kinetic parameters was done by peak shape method. Calculations of Trap Depth were done with Chen’s different methods and order of kinetics, activation energy and frequency factor are calculated. The recorded glow curve shifts towards higher temperature with increasing intensity as a function of UV exposure time until 30 minutes where it is seen that the peak shifts towards low temperature side and intensity also decreases. The peaks were found at 345?C, 356.83?C, 358?C and 356.73?C respectively using the heating rate 6.7?C/s. The PL (photoluminescence) excitation spectra show peaks at 248 nm and 362 nm whereas emission spectra shows peaks between 364 nm and 551 nm. Sample was characterized by XRD technique.

Menopause is characterized by various physical,mental and emotional *** 731®is a standardized extract from Rheum rhaponticum root and has been clinically studied for its role in reducing menopausal *** current systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the efficacy of ERr 731®supplementation in alleviating the severity of menopausal *** this review,we searched across three online databases up to March 2023,evaluated the quality of the included studies by the Physiotherapy Evidence Database scale,and assessed the risk of bias by the Cochrane Risk of Bias *** then performed a metaanalysis using RevMan software to estimate the pooled mean difference(MD).The study protocol was registered in the Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews(CRD42023416808).After screening and evaluation,we included four high-quality studies(a total of 390 participants;the ERr 731®group:193 participants;the control group:197 participants)in the *** results showed that ERr 731®supplementation significantly reduced the Menopause Rating Scale score(MD:–15.12;P<0.001),compared with control *** analysis revealed no effect of individual studies on the overall pooled estimate or overall observed *** current review provides evidence that ERr 731®supplementation is effective in reducing menopause *** bias and high heterogeneity in the results warrant further clinical studies.

Objective:To investigate which life stage of the parasite has the ability to stimulate release of pro- or anti-inflammatory mediators from ***:The human macrophage/ monocyte cell line THP-1,the mouse macrophage cell line RAW 264.7 and naive peritoneal macrophages（PM） from the rodent host Mastomys coucha（***） were incubated at 37℃in 5%CO2 atmosphere with extracts of microfilariae（Mf）,third stage infective larvae（L3） and adult worms（Ad） of Brugia *** 48 hr post exposure,IL-1β,IL-6,TNF-α,IL-10 and nitric oxide（NO） in cell-free supernatants were ***:Extracts of all the life stages of the parasite were capable of stimulating pro-（IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α） and anti-inflammatory （IL-10） cytokines in both the cell lines and peritoneal macrophages of *** was the strongest stimulator of pro-inflammatory cytokines followed by L3 and Ad;however,Ad was a strong stimulator of IL-10 *** was found to have potential to modulate LPS-induced NO release in RAW ***-induced NO release was concentration dependent with maximum at 20μg/mL in both RAW and ***:The results show that parasites at all life stages were capable of stimulating pro-（IL-1β,IL-6 and TNF-α） and anti-inflammatory（IL-10） cytokines and NO release from macrophages of susceptible host ***,human and mouse macrophage cell *** can suppress the LPS-induced NO release in RAW *** findings also show that the two cell lines may provide a convenient in vitro system for assaying parasite-induced inflammatory mediator release.

Ploughing and fertilization practices in rice-wheat system have deteriorated the soil carbon (C) pools. Conservation agriculture (CA) based management approaches have proven to enhance C sequestration and reverse the loss of soil-organic-carbon (SOC), which further enhances soil fertility. Different fractions of SOC pools react to the alterations in management practices and indicate changes in SOC dynamics as compared to total C in the soil. Higher SOC levels in soil have been observed in case of reduced/no-till (NT) practices than conventional tillage (CT). However, between CT and zero tillage/NT, total SOC stocks diminished with an increase in soil depth, which demonstrated that the benefits of SOC are more pronounced in the topsoil under NT. Soil aggregation provides physical protection to C associated with different-sized particles, thus, the improvement in soil aggregation through CA is an effective way to mitigate soil C loss. Along with less soil disturbance, residual management, suitable crop rotation, rational application of manures and fertilizers, and integrated nutrient management have been found to be effective in not only improving soil C stock but also enhancing the soil health and productivity. Thus, CA can be considered as a potential method in the build-up of SOC of soil in rice-wheat system.

Fuzzy least brain storm optimization and entropy-based Euclidean distance for multimodal vein-based recognition system

Nowadays, the vein based recognition system becomes an emerging and facilitating biometric technology in the recognition system. Vein recognition exploits the different modalities such as finger, palm and hand image for the person identification. In this work, the fuzzy least brain storm optimization and Euclidean distance(EED) are proposed for the vein based recognition system. Initially, the input image is fed into the region of interest(ROI) extraction which obtains the appropriate image for the subsequent step. Then, features or vein pattern is extracted by the image enlightening, circular averaging filter and holoentropy based thresholding. After the features are obtained, the entropy based Euclidean distance is proposed to fuse the features by the score level fusion with the weight score value. Finally, the optimal matching score is computed iteratively by the newly developed fuzzy least brain storm optimization(FLBSO) algorithm. The novel algorithm is developed by the least mean square(LMS) algorithm and fuzzy brain storm optimization(FBSO). Thus, the experimental results are evaluated and the performance is compared with the existing systems using false acceptance rate(FAR), false rejection rate(FRR) and accuracy. The performance outcome of the proposed algorithm attains the higher accuracy of 89.9% which ensures the better recognition rate.
