Rock drilling is an essential operation in mining *** at the bit-rock interface plays a major role in the wear rate of the drill *** paper primarily focuses on the wear rate of tungsten carbide(WC)drill bit and the interrelationship between temperature and wear rate during rotary drilling operations conducted using a computer numerical control(CNC)*** interrelationship between the temperature and wear rate was studied with regard to three types of rock samples,i.e.,fine-grained sandstone(FG)of uniaxial compressive strength(UCS)that is 17.83 mPa,medium-grained sandstone(mG)of UCS that is 13.70 mPa,and fine-grained sandstone pink(FGP)of UCS that is 51.67 *** rate of the drill bit has been measured using controlled parameters,i.e.,drill bit diameter(6,8,10,12,and 16 mm),spindle speed(250,300,350,400,and 450 rpm),and penetration rate(2,4,6,8,and 10 mm/min),***,a fully instrumented laboratory drilling set-up was *** weight of each bit was measured after the bit reached 30 mm depth in each type of the rock ***,effects of the bit-rock interface temperature and operational parameters on wear rate of the drill bits were *** results show that the wear rate of drill bits increased with an increase in temperature for all the bit-rock combinations *** is due to the silica content of the rock sample,which leads to an increase in the frictional heat between the bit-rock ***,in case of medium-grained sandstone,the weight percentage(wt%)of SiO2 is around 7.23 wt%,which presents a very low wear rate coefficient of 6.33×10^–2 mg/(N?m).moreover,the temperature rise during drilling is also minimum,i.e.,around 74℃,in comparison to that of fine-grained sandstone and fine-grained sandstone *** addition,this paper develops the relationship between temperature and wear rate characteristics by employing simple linear regression analysis.

In present work,liquid phase esterification of acetic acid with ethanol over dodecatungestophosphoric acid （DTPA） supported on K10 montmorillonite was systematically studied and optimization of process parameters was carried *** 20% m/m DTPA/K10 was found to be the optimum catalyst with 90% acetic acid conversion and 100% ethyl acetate *** study was also explored to see the feasibility of 20% m/m DTPA/K10 as a catalyst for the alkylation of acetic acid with other alcohols like methanol,iso-propanol and *** 20% m/m DTPA/K10 has shown increased activity with the increase in carbon number,at the same alcohol *** results are novel.

The Garhwal Himalaya is among the major repositories of immensely valuable wild edible plants and provides food security to the local *** the valuable plant species that grow in this region,Paeonia emodi(family Paeoniaceae)is an important wild edible species that found in temperate regions with an altitude range between 1800 and 2800 *** species is facing a severe threat to its sustainability due to overharvesting,habitat disturbances,and a lack of effort regarding *** the first time,this study investigated anthropogenic pressure,population decline perceptions in the natural habitat,and vulnerability assessment of *** under selected study sites(n=23 villages).A semi structured questionnaire was used to interview approximately 45%of the local inhabitants,including herbal practitioners(Vaidhyas or Dais)of each *** the basis of demographic characteristics,the perceptions and responses of 464 local people were documented regarding potential causes of deterioration and feasible options for sustainable *** the weight survey method,we estimated the actual amount of collection based on personal interaction and direct *** order to determine the threats status,a rapid vulnerability assessment(RVA)was performed and were used based on the current exploitation and *** present study revealed that leaf(100%)was the most frequently harvested part,followed by stem(95.65%),seed(26.09%),root(21.74%)and flower(13.04%).The village Triyuginarayan and Pothivasa recorded the highest collection scores while the purpose of the collection was mostly edible(100%),medicinal(100%),and least commercial(8.70%).According to the literature review and the present survey,the RVA(total=21)is categorized as category II(intermediate side of the RVA index),indicating a degree of *** study revealed that *** faces extinction in the Garhwal *** this species through agro-production techniques may alleviate th

Consumption of processed foods—which are generally composed of nutritionally starved refined ingredients—has increased exponentially worldwide.A rise in public health awareness that low fiber intake is strongly linked to new-age disorders has spurred food manufacturers to fortify processed foods with refined dietary fibers(RDFs).Consumption of whole foods rich in natural fibers undoubtedly confers an array of health ***,it is not clear whether RDFs extracted from the whole plant,kernel,and fruit peels exert similar physiological effects to their naturally occurring *** studies caution that RDFs are not universally beneficial and that inappropriate consumption of RDFs may risk both gastrointestinal and liver ***,we briefly summarize the beneficial and detrimental effects of RDFs on digestive health and discuss the contribution of metabolites derived from microbial fermentation of RDFs in driving such positive or negative health outcomes.

Two step equal channel angular pressing carried out on as cast ZE41 mg alloy resulted in a remarkable grain *** compared to grain size of 46p.m in as cast sample,refinement upto 2.5^01 was achieved after 8th pass equal channel angular pressing(ECAP).The combined effect of crystallographic orientation and grain refinement was investigated by analysing the mechanical properties and corrosion behaviour of ZE41 mg alloy using electron back scattered diffraction(EBSD).The first stage comprises of 1st,2nd,3rd and 4th passes at a processing temperature of 300℃while the 5th,6th,7th and 8th passes were ECAPed at 275℃in second *** mechanical properties of ZE41 mg 158 yield tensile strength(YTS),230 ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and 7%elongation in as cast condition is enhanced to 236 YTS,295 UTS and 19.76%,respectively,after first stage *** yield tensile strength deteriorated due to the effect of texture predominating grain refinement during the second stage *** corrosion resistance of ZE41 mg was significantly enhanced by ECAP and is inferred from electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)and potentiodynamic polarisation *** role of microstructure was minimal on corrosion behaviour of ZE41 mg due to extra resistance when tested in 0m ***,the influence of grain refinement greatly influenced the improvement in corrosion resistance of ZE4I mg rather than crystallographic orientation observed from *** contrast,the crystallographic orientation predominated the effect of grain refinement during ZE41 mg corrosion in chloride containing(0.1 m and 1 m NaCl)*** the observation of results it is found that equal channel angular pressing has the dual advantage of improving mechanical properties and corrosion resista nee of ZE41 mg alloy.

In a distributed storage system, code symbols are dispersed across space in nodes or storage units as opposed to time. In settings such as that of a large data center, an important consideration is the efficient repair of a failed node. Efficient repair calls for erasure codes that in the face of node failure,are efficient in terms of minimizing the amount of repair data transferred over the network, the amount of data accessed at a helper node as well as the number of helper nodes contacted. Coding theory has evolved to handle these challenges by introducing two new classes of erasure codes, namely regenerating codes and locally recoverable codes as well as by coming up with novel ways to repair the ubiquitous Reed-Solomon code. This survey provides an overview of the efforts in this direction that have taken place over the past decade.

In this paper we discuss the theory of undulator radiation in an electromagnet undulator. We discuss the spectral properties of undulator radiation when electrons are injected off the undulator axis. This paper highlights the distinctive features of the radiation spectrum from electromagnet undulators, as compared to PPm undulators.
