Immunoglobulin G1 binding with various molecular receptors: A new paradigm of IgG1 as a potential adjuvant

Objective: To explore the possible IgG1 binding receptors by protein-protein docking experiments. Methods: The protein-protein cognate interactions such as IgG with Fc Receptors (FcRs) potentiate signaling cascades to ameliorate antigen uptake, processing and presentation are studied by protein-protein docking experiments. Results: However, the propensity of IgG interactions with other cognate receptors largely remains obscure. In this direction, possibilities of IgG1 binding with various five receptors were explored. In this study, we report previously unidentified associations between IgG1 and other receptors. Herein, we show that IgG1 binds to the granulocyte-macrophage receptor, β common receptor and complementaryreceptor(complementary receptor I and complementary receptor II) to form a complex structure. We show the binding ability and important protein-protein interactions of IgG1 with four receptors in comparison to Fc Receptor, and also find out the conserved amino acids and hydrophobic-hydrophobic interactions amongst them. Conclusions: Comparative interaction studies of IgG1 binding to various receptors revealed close similarities of IgG1 binding to its native receptor Fc. In conclusion, our study has shown the comparable binding efficiency of four receptors to IgG1 apart from the conventional Fc receptor.

Emerging Trends in the Etiology and Antimicrobial Susceptibility Pattern of Enteric Pathogens in Rural Coastal India

Introduction: Gastroenteritis is recognized as a serious public health problem in India. It is a syndrome that can be caused by different bacterial, viral and parasitic pathogens. Indiscriminate use of antibacterial agents has resulted in the development of multidrug resistant organisms. A retrospective study was done to analyze the etiological spectrum of diarrhoea and to determine the antimicrobial resistance pattern of bacterial pathogens. Methodology: Fecal specimens from patients with acute or chronic diarrhoea were received prior antibiotic administration and processed for routine microscopy of parasites;culture, antimicrobial susceptibility testing and polymerase chain reaction for bacterial pathogens and latex agglutination for rotavirus. Results: Out of the 6043 stool samples collected during the period of Jan 2005-Dec 2013, 678 (11.2%) enteric pathogens were isolated. The predominant isolates were Diarrheagenic Escherichia coli (DEC) (46.3%) followed by Salmonella, Shigella, Vibrio cholerae and parasites. Certain unusual pathogens were also isolated. Among age wise distribution, Diarrheagenic Escherichia coli (DEC) mainly Enteroaggregative Escherichia coli (EAEC) was isolated from <5 years of age. The majority of other enteric pathogens were isolated from the adult population. The enteric pathogens isolated showed resistance to multiple antibiotics. The resistance pattern observed during this period showed an overall increase in resistance to the antibiotics tested. Conclusion: The present study documents the overall role of etiological agents as causes of diarrhoea and indicates that the indiscriminate use of potent antibiotics can lead to acquisition of resistance to important therapeutic agents.

Indium tin oxide(ITO)is widely used in transparent conductive films(TCFs);however,several disadvan-tages,such as high cost and toxicity of indium,limit its ***,it is necessary to develop other materials that can replace *** nanowires or single walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)have attracted considerable interest owing to their unique electrical,optical,and thermal stabilities,and thus,they are ideal for transparent electrodes for flexible or stretchable *** this study,we develop a novel architecture of composite TCFs on a polyethylene naphthalate(PEN)flexible ***,the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films with nested density structure were fabricated through ultrasonic spraying technology by varying the spraying *** achieving enhanced transmittance,we combined the larger irregular grids and holes with fewer nanowires stacked in the longitudinal direction,more optical chan-nels,and good carrier ***,aluminum-doped zinc oxide(AZO)was used as capping to the structure for enhancing the optical properties of the *** silver nanowires-SWCNTs/AZO(ASA)bilayer was obtained in the optimized architecture,which showed superior optoelectronic performance to that shown by commercial ITO with a high optical transmittance of 92%at the wavelength of 550 nm and low sheet resistance of 17/*** the specially structured conductive film,the significant improvement in the transmittance and uniformity of the sheet resistance was attributed to the effective nanowire junc-tion contact compared to that in ordinary structure of silver nanowires,which reduced the mean density of small clusters of *** with the silver nanowires-SWCNTs films,the ASA bilayer film exhibited excellent resistance to boiling,mechanical bending(10,000 cycles),and CO_(2)***,the sheet resistance of ASA changed slightly after the tape tests,thereby illustrating a strong adhesion to the PEN substrate after the enclosure of ***
