Understanding plant immune responses is complex because of the high interdependence among biological processes in homeostatic ***,the integration of environmental cues causes network rewiring that interferes with defense ***,plants retain molecular signatures configured under abiotic stress periods to rapidly respond to recurrent stress,and these can alter *** changes imposed by abiotic stressors are persistent,although their impact on defense remains to be *** this study,we profiled metabolomes of Arabidopsis plants under several abiotic stress treatments applied individually or simultaneously to capture temporal trajectories in metabolite composition during adverse conditions and *** systemic analysis was performed to address the relevance of me-tabolome changes and extract central features to be tested in *** results demonstrate irreversibility in major fractions of metabolome changes as a general pattern in response to abiotic stress ***-tionalanalysisofmetabolomesandco-abundancenetworkspoints toconvergence inthereconfigurationof organic acid and secondary metabolite *** mutant lines for components related to these metabolic pathways showed altered defense capacities against different ***,our data suggest that sustained metabolome changes configured in adverse environments can act as mod-ulators of immune responses and provide evidence for a new layer of regulation in plant defense.

The intricacies of Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis are being increasingly illuminated by the exploration of epigenetic mechanisms,particularly DnA *** review comprehensively surveys recent human-centered studies that investigate whole genome DnA methylation in Alzheimer’s disease *** examination of various brain regions reveals distinctive DnA methylation patterns that associate with the Braak stage and Alzheimer’s disease *** entorhinal cortex emerges as a focal point due to its early histological alterations and subsequent impact on downstream regions like the ***,AnK1 hypermethylation,a protein implicated in neurofibrillary tangle formation,was recurrently identified in the entorhinal ***,the middle temporal gyrus and prefrontal cortex were shown to exhibit significant hypermethylation of genes like HOXA3,RHBDF2,and MCF2L,potentially influencing neuroinflammatory *** complex role of BIn1 in late-onset Alzheimer’s disease is underscored by its association with altered methylation *** the disparities across studies,these findings highlight the intricate interplay between epigenetic modifications and Alzheimer’s disease *** research efforts should address methodological variations,incorporate diverse cohorts,and consider environmental factors to unravel the nuanced epigenetic landscape underlying Alzheimer’s disease progression.

Magnetotactic bacteria reside in sediments and stratified water *** are named after their ability to synthesize internal magnetic particles that allow them to align and swim along the Earth’s magnetic field ***,we show that two magnetotactic species,Magnetospirillum magneticum strain AMB-1 and Magnetospirillum gryphiswaldense strain MSR-1,are *** *** and *** were able to generate current in microbial fuel cells with maximum power densities of 27 and 11μW/m^(2),*** the presence of the electron shuttle resazurin both species were able to reduce the crystalline iron oxide hematite(Fe_(2)O_(3)).In addition,*** could reduce poorly crystalline iron oxide(FeOOH).Our study adds *** and *** to the growing list of known electroactive bacteria,and implies that electroactivity might be common for bacteria within the Magnetospirillum genus.

Building surface cool materials are novel materials that can reduce urban heat island intensity and decrease building energy *** study investigated the impact of radiative properties of materials,façade orientation,and morphological parameters on energy consumption in six typical residential neighborhoods in nanjing,*** neighborhood energy consumption of 16 application schemes considering the façade orientation factor is compared to determine the best energy-saving *** and annual energy-saving rates,savings in electricity costs,and the price ceiling for materials per unit area are *** results show that for low-rise buildings,using cool materials only on the roof can reduce the annual energy consumption by 1%.When cool or super cool materials are also used on the building façade,the annual energy saving rate can be up to 3.4%and 4.3%,*** cool materials on the south façade of buildings is not recommended due to significant heat loss in *** savings in electricity costs and the price ceiling for materials per unit area,the price of cool and super cool materials should be less than 3.0 and 3.7 RMB/m2,respectively,assuming a lifespan of eight years in nanjing.

Objective:To provide a comprehensive review on the existing literature on medical management of ***:A thorough literature review was performed using Medline,PubMed/PMC,Embase,and the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews up to December 2022 to identify publications on the medical management of *** that assessed dietary and pharmacologic management of urolithiasis were reviewed;studies on medical expulsive therapy were not included in this ***:Medical management of urolithiasis ranges from the prophylactic management of kidney stone disease to dissolution *** most treatment concepts have been long established,large randomized controlled trials are *** modification and increased fluid intake remain cornerstones in the conservative management of urolithiasis.A major limitation for medical management of urolithiasis is poor patient ***:Medical management of urolithiasis is more important in patients with recurrent urolithiasis and patients with metabolic abnormalities putting them at higher risk of developing *** medical management can be effective in limiting stone recurrence,medical interventions often fail due to poor compliance.
