In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. In particular, its wide field monitoring capabilities will be highly instrumental to detect the electro-magnetic counterparts of gravitational wave *** paper provides a detailed description of:(1) the technological and technical aspects, and the expected performance of the instruments of the scientific payload;(2) the elements and functions of the mission, from the spacecraft to the ground segment.

Background: The objective of this pilot study was to describe clinical profile, electric, echocardiographic and angiographic caracteristics with procedural outcome of congolease patients undergoing coronarography in the first and only one cardiac catheterization center opened in Kinshasa. methods: An analytical cross-sectional study was carried out over a period from October 2019 (date of establishment of the first coronary angiography unit in DR Congo) to march 2021. We proceeded to a serial sampling of the consecutive cases of all the patients who have an angiographic exploration of coronary arteries. Clinical, ECG and cardiac ultrasound data were collected in all patients. The indications for the coronary angiography examination were set by differents cardiologists on the basis of repolarization troubles in the electrocardiogram, cinetic troubles in echocardiography, positive stress test and chest pain in patients with cardiovascular risq factors. Results: The serie (47 patients) was predominantly male with a sex ratio m/W of 2.6. The average age was 59.8 ± 10.5 years. Arterial hypertension (HBP) was the main risk factor (89.4%);followed by diabetes mellitus (14.9%). Chest pain was the main functional sign with an atypical character in 44.7%. The ECG showed ST segment depression (17%) and T wave inversion (17%), the anterior region being the most affected. Hypokinesia was the most common echocardiographic abnormality (34%), followed by akinesia (10.6%). The anteroseptal and apical territories were affected in 12.8%. Dilated myocardiopathy (DmC) was significantly predominant in the male sex (29.4% vs 7.7%;p = 0.011). With radial puncture as the main approach, coronary angiography was pathological in 44% revealing mono-truncal lesions. The left coronary network was the most affected: the middle inter ventricular artery (12.8%), the proximal interventricular artery (10.6%) and the proximal circonflex artery (10.6%). In a previous study, we showed that patients with muscular dystrophies (mDs) perceive passive movements, experience sensations of illusory movement induced b y muscle tendon vibration, and have proprioceptive- regulated sways in response to vibratory stimulation applied to the neck and ankle muscle tendons. These fi ndings argue for preserved proprioceptive functions of muscle spindles. However, it is unclear whether the function of intrafusal muscle fibers is spared, i.e., whether they retain their ability to contract when submitted to a fusimotor dri ve. To answer this question, we analyzed the effects of reinforcement maneuvers (mental computation and the Jendrassik maneuver) that are known to increase musc le spindle sensitivity via fusimotor drive in healthy subjects. Nine patients wi th different mDs participated in the study. Reinforcement maneuvers increased bo th the mean amplitude of the Achilles tendon reflex (187 ± 52.9% of the mean control amplitude) and the sensitivity of muscle spindle afferents to imposed mo vements of the ankle. The same reinforcement maneuvers failed to alter the ampli tude of the Hoffmann reflex in the triceps surae muscle. These results suggest t hat the intrafusal muscle fibers preserve their contractile abilities in slowly progressive mDs. The reasons for a differential impairment of intrafusal and ext rafusal muscle fibers and the clinical implications of the present results are d iscussed.

The cryptic lifestyle of most fungi necessitates molecular identification of the guild in environmental *** the past decades,rapid development and affordability of molecular tools have tremendously improved insights of the fungal diversity in all ecosystems and ***,in spite of the progress of molecular methods,knowledge about functional properties of the fungal taxa is vague and interpretation of environmental studies in an ecologically meaningful manner remains *** order to facilitate functional assignments and ecological interpretation of environmental studies we introduce a user friendly traits and character database FungalTraits operating at genus and species hypothesis *** the information from previous efforts such as FUNGuild and FunFun together with involvement of expert knowledge,we reannotated 10,210 and 151 fungal and Stramenopila genera,*** resulted in a stand-alone spreadsheet dataset covering 17 lifestyle related traits of fungal and Stramenopila genera,designed for rapid functional assignments of environmental *** order to assign the trait states to fungal species hypotheses,the scientific community of experts manually categorised and assigned available trait information to 697,413 fungal ITS *** the basis of those sequences we were able to summarise trait and host information into 92,623 fungal species hypotheses at 1%dissimilarity threshold.

Aims:We have previously demonstrated that cardiomyocytes(Cms) of adult transgenic C57 BL/6 J mice with Cm-restricted overexpression of the dominant negative Wv mutant(dn-c-kit-Tg) retain the ability to proliferate;a response normally restricted to fetal and early neonatal *** leads to a hyperplastic Cm response to pressure overload with improved cardiac function and ***,we tested if this persistent Cm proliferative competence allows complete,scar-less repair of the myocardium with normalization of cardiac morphology and function post-myocardial infarction(mI).methods and *** to WT control non-transgenic littermates,dn-c-kit-Tg mice displayed i) persistent Cm replicative capacity in adulthood,ii) a thicker left ventricular(LV) wall and a smaller LV cavity due to increased Cm cell number,but no change in Cm length,width,volume,pbidy or nucleation state,and iii) improved *** 24 hours after ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery,infarct sizes were similar in adult(16 week old) WT and dn-c-kit-Tg *** weeks post-mI,infarct size in dn-c-kk-Tg was half that in WT hearts,but significant scarring was still *** infarct size in the dn-c-kit-Tg mice was associated with improved survival,increased Cm cell cycle entry,attenuated left ventricular remodelling and improved cardiac ***:Extending Cm replicative capacity into adulthood improves outcomes post-mI,but healing is structurally and functionally incomplete.

Objective: To compare the current non-invasive tests for Helicobacter pylori infection in children and *** design: This multicenter, multinational study investigated the sensitivity, specificity, and positive and negative predictive values of four non-invasive tests: urea breath test (UBT), stool antigen test, and antibody detection in serum and urine, in comparison with biopsy-based ***: Of 503 patients included pre-treatment, 473 fulfilled the definition of H pylori status and among those 316 had results available for the four non-invasive tests (including 133 H pylori-positive patients).The specificity was excellent for all *** UBT had the best sensitivity in all age groups, followed by serology, stool test, and antibody detection in urine.A trend for better sensitivity with an increase in age was observed except for the stool *** receiver operating characteristics (ROC) curves showed that sensitivity of serology, stool test, and urinelisa could be improved by changing the cutoff *** inadequate storage of the specimens may explain the poor results of the stool ***: The UBT appears to be an excellent test for diagnosis of H pylori infection for children and adolescents.
