Background:For the past 30 years,the hamstring(H)-to-quadriceps(Q)(H:Q)torque ratio has been considered an important index of muscle strength imbalance around the knee *** purpose of this systematic review was to examine the value of H:Q torque ratio as an independent risk factor for hamstring and anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)***:Database searches were performed to identify all relevant articles in PubMed,MEDLINE,Cochrane Library,and *** studies evaluating the conventional(concentric H:Q),functional(eccentric H:concentric Q),and mixed(eccentric H at 300/s:concentric Q at2400/s)H:Q ratios as risk factors for occurrence of hamstring muscle strain or ACL injury were *** of bias was assessed using the Quality In Prognosis Studies ***:Eighteen included studies reported 585 hamstrings injuries in 2945 participants,and 5 studies documented 128 ACL injuries in *** evidence synthesis analysis indicated that there is very limited evidence that H:Q strength ratio is an independent risk factor for hamstring and ACL injury,and this was not different between various ratio *** limitations and limited evidence for ACL injuries and some ratio types might have influenced these ***:The H:Q ratio has limited value for the prediction of ACL and hamstring *** strength imbalances along with other modifiable factors during the entire competitive season may provide a better understanding of the association between H:Q ratio and injury.

Hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotypes 4, 5 and 6 are mainly present in Africa, the Middle East and Asia and they have been less extensively studied with respect to epidemiology, natural disease history and therapeutic endpoints. Response rates to a 48-wk combined peginterferon/ribavirin treatment range to 40%-69% for HCV 4, 55%-60% for HCV 5 and 60%-90% for HCV 6. Response-guided schedules are recommended to optimize the outcomes of peginterferon/ribavirin treatment in HCV 4 and, in form of preliminarydata, for HCV 6, but no data are yet available to support such an individualization of therapy for HCV 5. Recently, the direct-acting antivirals(DAAs) with pan-genotypic activities simeprevir, sofosbuvir and daclatasvir have been recommended in triple regimens with peginterferon/ribavirin for the treatment of HCV genotypes 4 to 6 infections. In the future, DAA-based interferon-free therapies are awaited to drastically improve treatment outcomes in HCV. However, efforts to improve treatment outcomes with peginterferon/ribavirin should continue, as the HCV 4-6 infected population is mainly based in resource-limited settings with restricted access to the costly DAAs.

Water-Lubricated Ni-Based Composite(Ni-Al_2O_3,Ni-SiC and Ni-ZrO_2)Thin Film Coatings for Industrial Applications

In this work, pure nickel and Ni-based nanocomposite coatings （Ni-AI2O3, Ni-SiC and Ni-ZrO2） were pro- duced on steel substrate by using pulse electrodeposition technique. The industrial performance tests were conducted to evaluate the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, adhesion strength and wettability behaviour of newly developed coat- ings. Rolling contact ball-on-disc tribometer was used to assess anti-wear behaviour of these coatings under water- lubricated contacts. The results showed that the wear- and corrosion resistance properties of nickel alumina and Ni-SiC composite coatings significantly improved than that of pure Ni and Ni-ZrO2 coatings. The adhesion and wettability results of Ni-A1203 composite showed better performance when compared to the rest of the coatings. The effects of incorporating nanoparticles on the surface microstructure, interface adhesion and distribution of the particles were also investigated. The coatings were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis and 3D white light inter- ferometry. The wear failure behaviour of these coatings was further examined by post-test surface observation under optical microscope.

Background:Red foxes(Vulpes vulpes)have historically been interacting with human societies,thus being an important component of socio-ecological *** Greece,farmers and hunters have been increasingly complaining about predation of red foxes on livestock and game,and the recurrence of rabies incidents has raised concerns about human and animal *** public preferences about management is necessary for successful wildlife *** study aimed at investigating the preferences of north Greece residents for managing the negative impacts of red foxes and also at understanding variation between stakeholder groups:farmers,hunters,farmers-hunters,and the general *** were collected from on-site face-to-face surveys(n=746),between March and May *** were asked to rate their acceptability of management strategies under three impact scenarios:red foxes attack livestock,reduce game,and carry ***:Stakeholders preferred nonlethal management strategies,with generally high consensus,both between and within *** and compensation were the most acceptable strategies for protecting livestock and vaccination and the removal of sick animals for eliminating *** and consensus for lethal strategies were lower,with hunting being the most acceptable lethal strategy for hunters,especially when foxes threatened game or carried *** nothing was becoming more unacceptable and lethal control more acceptable with increasing severity of the impacts,i.e.,livestock and game predation versus rabies ***:Variation in the acceptability of and consensus for management strategies was considerable among scenarios,and both between and within stakeholder *** implications could be used as a guide for reaching consensus for proper management strategies during the conservation conflict management process in the study *** similar studies are scarce,findings might also prove useful elsewh

Treatment of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is paramount for the management of prevalent gastrointestinal disorders including peptic ulcer disease and gastric cancer. Due to the wide increase in prevalence of H. pylori resistance to antibiotics, clarithromycin-based triple therapies are not any more suitable for unconditional empiric use, and should not be recommended, unless local resistance to this antibiotic is low (< 20%). Alternative strategies have been proposed to overcome the issue of increasing clarithromycin resistance, and some of them are already implemented in clinical practice. These comprise: (1) adoption of novel, more effective, empirical treatments: bismuth quadruple, sequential, non-bismuth quadruple (concomitant), dual-concomitant (hybrid), and levofloxacin-based regimens, the latter mainly designated as second-line/rescue options; (2) perspectives for a susceptibility-guided (tailored) therapeutic approach based on culture-free molecular testing methods; and (3) adjunct use of probiotics to improve eradication rates. The present article is aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of current and emerging strategies in the treatment of H. pylori infection, focusing on the challenge of antimicrobial resistance.

In this paper,we propose enhancements to Beetle Antennae search(BAS)algorithm,called BAS-ADAIVL to smoothen the convergence behavior and avoid trapping in localminima for a highly noin-convex objective *** achieve this by adaptively adjusting the step-size in each iteration using the adaptive moment estimation(ADAM)update *** proposed algorithm also increases the convergence rate in a narrow valley.A key feature of the ADAM update rule is the ability to adjust the step-size for each dimension separately instead of using the same *** ADAM is traditionally used with gradient-based optimization algorithms,therefore we first propose a gradient estimation model without the need to differentiate the objective ***,it demonstrates excellent performance and fast convergence rate in searching for the optimum of noin-convex *** efficiency of the proposed algorithm was tested on three different benchmark problems,including the training of a high-dimensional neural *** performance is compared with particle swarm optimizer(PSO)and the original BAS algorithm.

In this paper, we have formulated quantum beetle antennae search(QBAS), a meta-heuristic optimization algorithm, and a variant of beetle antennae search(BAS). We apply it to portfolio selection,a well-known finance problem. Quantum computing is gaining immense popularity among the scientific community as it outsmarts the conventional computing in efficiency and speed. All the traditional computing algorithms are not directly compatible with quantum computers, for that we need to formulate their variants using the principles of quantum mechanics. In the portfolio optimization problem, we need to find the set of optimal stock such that it minimizes the risk factor and maximizes the mean-return of the portfolio. To the best of our knowledge, no quantum meta-heuristic algorithm has been applied to address this problem yet. We apply QBAS on real-world stock market data and compare the results with other meta-heuristic optimization algorithms. The results obtained show that the QBAS outperforms swarm algorithms such as the particle swarm optimization(PSO) and the genetic algorithm(GA).

Service providers usually require detailed statistics in order to improve their *** the other hand,privacy concerns are intensifying and sensitive data is protected by legislation,such as GDPR(General Data Protection Regulation).In this paper,we present the design,implementation,and evaluation of a marketplace that allows“data consumers”to buy information from“data providers”,which can then be used for generating meaningful ***,our system enables“system operators”that can select which data providers are allowed to provide data,based on filtering criteria specified by the data *** leverage local differential privacy to protect the data provider's privacy against data consumers,as well as against system operators,and we build a blockchain-based solution for ensuring fair exchange,and immutable data *** design targets use cases that involve hundreds or even thousands of data *** prove the feasibility of our approach through a proof-of concept implementation of a measurement sharing application for smart-grid systems.
