Advancing Wound Filling Extraction on 3D Faces:An Auto-Segmentation and Wound Face Regeneration Approach

Facial wound segmentation plays a crucial role in preoperative planning and optimizing patient outcomes in various medical applications.In this paper,we propose an efficient approach for automating 3D facial wound segmentation using a two-stream graph convolutional network.Our method leverages the Cir3D-FaIR dataset and addresses the challenge of data imbalance through extensive experimentation with different loss functions.To achieve accurate segmentation,we conducted thorough experiments and selected a high-performing model from the trainedmodels.The selectedmodel demonstrates exceptional segmentation performance for complex 3D facial wounds.Furthermore,based on the segmentation model,we propose an improved approach for extracting 3D facial wound fillers and compare it to the results of the previous study.Our method achieved a remarkable accuracy of 0.9999993% on the test suite,surpassing the performance of the previous method.From this result,we use 3D printing technology to illustrate the shape of the wound filling.The outcomes of this study have significant implications for physicians involved in preoperative planning and intervention design.By automating facial wound segmentation and improving the accuracy ofwound-filling extraction,our approach can assist in carefully assessing and optimizing interventions,leading to enhanced patient outcomes.Additionally,it contributes to advancing facial reconstruction techniques by utilizing machine learning and 3D bioprinting for printing skin tissue implants.Our source code is available at https://***/SIMOGroup/WoundFilling3D.

AIM:To determine the dry eye(DE)rate and its relationship with disease stage in patients with primary hypertension.METHODS:A cross-sectional study included 432 patients with primary hypertension(with an equal number of patients in each group:144 in stage Ⅰ,Ⅱ,and Ⅲ hypertension)and 144 healthy subjects as a control group.The Ocular Surface Disease Index(OSDI)and Schirmer Ⅰ test without anesthetics were conducted on all 576 subjects.Subjects with OSDI scoresvanced age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma creatinine,and CRP-hs levels were independent factors associated with DE in primary hypertension patients,Pvanced age,a long duration of hypertension,diabetes mellitus,elevated plasma CRP-hs,and creatinine levels in patients with primary hypertension.

Influence of different land-use types on selected soil properties related to soil fertility in A Luoi District,Thua Thien Hue,Vietnam

Land use type affects the physicochemical properties of soil.The value of OM and TN is high in acacia soils.Strong acidity of soil is considered a serious constraint for agriculture.Suitable cash crops are acacia,cassava,banana,rice and maize.Soil fertility is affected by land-use types and land management,which exacerbates soil erosion and various other forms of soil degradation in the mountainous regions of Viet-nam.This study was conducted in A Luoi District,Thua Thien Hue,Vietnam to identify the effects of land-use types on specific soil physicochemical characteristics related to soil fertility.Soil physicochemical properties,such as organic matter(OM),total nitrogen(TN),total phosphorous(TP),and K+were significantly affected by land-use type.The results showed that the soils were sandy in rice but clay loam for acacia and cassava.The mean bulk density value of acacia soil was significantly greater than that of other soils.TN were higher in the acacia soils than those in the rice,maize,and banana soils.The OM content was significantly higher in the acacia,cassava,and banana soils than those in the rice and maize soils.The mean of exchangeable K+in the rice soil was higher compared to those in other soils and was affected by land-use type.The high exchangeable acidity content in the soils was probably due to intensive precipitation.However,both land use type and management did not affect the CEC value.Overall,the inappropriate land use caused the disturbance of soil physicochemical properties,indicating that the conditions of rice and maize soils are becoming worse than acacia soils.Therefore,lowering the intensity of cultivation,adopting incorporated soil fertility management,and applying organic fertilizer should preserve the existing conditions and enhance soil properties.

Ardisia gigantifolia ethanolic extract inhibits cell proliferation and targets cancer stem cells in gastric cancer

Objective:To evaluate the effects of ethanol extract from Ardisia gigantifolia leaves on cell proliferation and cancer stem cell(CSC)number in gastric cancer.Methods:The inhibitory effect of Ardisia gigantifolia extract on the proliferation of MKN45 and MKN74 gastric cancer cells was assessed using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazole-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay.Non-adherent culture(3D)model was used to evaluate the effect of the extract on tumorsphere size and number.Moreover,the expression of CD44,ALDH,and p21 was determined by immunofluorescence analysis.Flow cytometric analysis was performed to evaluate cell cycle arrest and the expression of gastric CSC markers CD44 and ALDH.Real-time PCR analysis was also carried out to assess the effect of the extract on the expression of cell cycle-regulated genes.Results:Ardisia gigantifolia extract effectively inhibited cell proliferation with an IC_(50)of 55.7μg/m L in MKN45 cells and 123.6μg/m L in MKN74 cells.The extract also arrested cell cycle in the G_(0)/G_(1)phase as well as significantly reduced the size and number of tumorspheres.The markedly increased expression of p21 was observed at both m RNA and protein levels in the extract-treated adherent cells and tumorspheres.In addition,Ardisia gigantifolia extract significantly reduced the number of CD44-and/or ALDH-expressing gastric CSC.Conclusions:The development of gastric CSC can be inhibited by the ethanol extract of Ardisia gigantifolia.

目的：评价电针联合其他药物在甲状腺全切除术中提供镇痛和稳定血流动力学参数的有效性和安全性。方法：该随机对照试验囊括了100例患者，这些患者于2022年10月至2023年10月在越南国立针灸医院接受了甲状腺全切除术。患者被随机分为了两组。电针镇痛组（EA）对合谷穴（LI 4）、内关穴（PC 6）、水突穴（ST 10）、缺盆穴（ST 12）、翳风穴（SJ 17）5个穴位进行了电针刺激，对照组患者进行了双侧浅表颈丛神经阻滞。主要结局包括两组患者的镇痛水平和围手术期生命体征。此外，测定了EA组患者电针前后的疼痛阈值和血清β-内啡肽水平。结果：EA组和对照组分别有86%和76%的患者达到完全镇痛（A级），两组间无显著差异（P=1.00）。EA组患者接受EA后平均疼痛阈值翻倍（648.7(77.4) g/s vs. 305.3 (45.3) g/s, P <0.001），平均血清β-内啡肽水平增加了约13.5pg/m L(P <0.001)。所有患者在整个手术过程中的血流动力学维持稳定。结论：EA联合其他药物刺激了5个穴位，LI 4、PC 6、ST 10、ST 12和SJ 17，在甲状腺全切除术中耐受良好，有效地维持了适当的镇痛水平和血流动力学稳定性。

The metal-organic framework(MOF)derived Ni–Co–C–N composite alloys(NiCCZ)were“embedded”inside the carbon cloth(CC)strands as opposed to the popular idea of growing them upward to realize ultrastable energy storage and conversion application.The NiCCZ was then oxygen functionalized,facilitating the next step of stoichiometric sulfur anion diffusion during hydrothermal sulfurization,generating a flower-like metal hydroxysulfide structure(NiCCZOS)with strong partial implantation inside CC.Thus obtained NiCCZOS shows an excellent capacity when tested as a supercapacitor electrode in a three-electrode configuration.Moreover,when paired with the biomass-derived nitrogen-rich activated carbon,the asymmetric supercapacitor device shows almost 100%capacity retention even after 45,000 charge–discharge cycles with remarkable energy density(59.4 Wh kg^(-1)/263.8μWh cm^(–2))owing to a uniquely designed cathode.Furthermore,the same electrode performed as an excellent bifunctional water-splitting electrocatalyst with an overpotential of 271 mV for oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and 168.4 mV for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)at 10 mA cm−2 current density along with 30 h of unhinged chronopotentiometric stability performance for both HER and OER.Hence,a unique metal chalcogenide composite electrode/substrate configuration has been proposed as a highly stable electrode material for flexible energy storage and conversion applications.

Clinical Case Report of Acute Heart Injury and Acute Rhabdomyolysis Due to Cyanide Poisoning

Cyanide poisoning is one of the most dangerous poisonings, and it can be absorbed into the body through the mouth, inhalation and through the skin. A 32-year-old female patient was admitted to our poison control center because of high fever, severe vomiting, and seizures. Physical examination found that the patient was drowsy, had a high fever of 40 degrees Celsius, pulse of 140 beats/minute, and increased tendon and bone reflexes. Exploiting the patient’s information, it was discovered that the patient bought Cyanide to drink with the intention of committing suicide. The patient was quickly treated with gastric lavage and activated charcoal. Echocardiography recorded EF: 35%, reduced movement of the entire myocardium. CK blood test: 4562 U/L. The patient’s condition rapidly deteriorated and the patient was made ECMO, IHD and CVVHDF. After 3 days of treatment, the patient’s condition did not improve, so the family asked for the patient to go home. This article aims to describe the rapidly progressing and severe damage to the heart and muscles of patients with cyanide poisoning.

师幼互动质量是学前教育质量最重要的过程性质量指标之一,也是科学、大规模评估需突破的难点。自动化班级观察是多模态数据驱动的教育研究新范式,为师幼互动质量评估提供了新方向。自动化班级观察已经覆盖了情感支持、课堂组织、教学支持等多个师幼互动领域,其中以情感支持领域的评估最为成熟;自动化评估也综合采用了面部表情、语音、眼动等多种数据模态,目前语音数据应用得最为广泛。自动化班级观察有助于推动实现教学评一体化和大规模评估,但仍面临数据可靠性、质量和伦理等挑战。未来我国可以从制定评估指标、重点突破关键技术、建设视频资源数据库、开展跨学科研究和完善规范标准等五个方面着力,借助自动化班级观察的应用驱动学前教育质量智能化评价的改革进程。

Effectiveness of bee venom acupuncture for patients suffering from periarthritis humeroscapularis

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of bee venom acupuncture in humeroscapularis(PHS)patients.METHODS:One hundred and twenty patients diagnosed with PHS were assigned into four groups:BV1(0.01 mg/kg),BV2(0.005 mg/kg),BV3(0.0025 mg/kg),and control group(vitamin B1 plus novocain 3%injection)with 15 d of treatment.The outcomes of the study including visual analogue scale(VAS)score andβ-endorphin,inflammatory cytokines including interleukin-10(IL-10),IL-1βand tumor necrosis factorα(TNF-α)and shoulder function score were assessed at baseline,after 10 and 15 d of treatment.RESULTS:All four groups reported statistically significant improvement in VAS score,motion range,and shoulder function score(P<0.01),only the BV3 group showed significant increase of anti-inflammatory(IL-10)and decrease of pro-inflammatory(IL-1β,TNF-α)cytokines after treatment(P<0.05).The BV3 group presented a significant difference between all outcomes compared to the control and other groups.CONCLUSION:BV3 groups showed better recovery including reduced pain,improved motor function and normalized inflammatory cytokines than current therapy used in Vietnam and other groups.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness of cycling in combination with electroacupuncture in treatment of poststroke hemiplegia patients at National Hospital of Acupuncture,Vietnam.METHODS:The study was designed as a single-centre,outcome-assessor-blinded parallel randomised controlled trial with 120 post-stroke hemiplegia patients randomly assigned into two groups:electroacupuncture plus cycling(CT group) and electroacupuncture(AT group).Patients were assessed before and after the treatment(using muscle grading,modified Rankin,Barthel,Orgorozo scores and electromyography).Statistical Man–Whitney U test,and Fisher’s exact tests were used to compare between CT and AT groups.RESULTS:The results reported statistically significant improvement in motor function in patients suffering from hemiplegia following ischemic stroke in both CT and AT groups.Patients in CT group experienced a greater improvement compared to those in AT group including better muscle contraction(increased frequency and amplitude of electromyography and increased muscle grading scale);increased recovery(Orgogozo scale),increased independency(Barthel scale) and decreased disability(Modified Rankin scale)(P < 0.01).CONCLUSIONS:Combination with cycling training significantly improves the recovery of post-stroke patients treated with electroacupuncture.
