Recent experim.ntal findings have reported the presence of unconventional charge orders in the enlarged(2×2)unit-cell of kagom. m.tals AV3Sb5(A=K,Rb,Cs)and hinted towards specific topological *** by these discoveries,we investigate the types of topological phases that can be realized in such kagom. *** this context,we em.loy a recently introduced statistical m.thod capable of constructing topological m.dels for any generic *** analyzing large data sets generated from.sym.etry-guided distributions of random.zed tight-binding param.ters,and labeled with the corresponding topological index,we extract physically m.aningful *** illustrate the possible real-space m.nifestations of charge and bond m.dulations and associated flux patterns for different topological classes,and discuss their relation to present theoretical predictions and experim.ntal signatures for the AV_(3)Sb_(5)***,we predict higher-order topological phases that m.y be realized by appropriately m.nipulating the currently known system..

AIm. To evaluate the efficacy and safety of glaucom. drainage device Ex-PRESS~ P-50 for com.ined cataract surgery and glaucom..·m.THODS： Patients having cataract and open angle glaucom. or patients with open advanced glaucom. which needed two or m.re antiglaucom. m.dications were included. Com.ined cataract surgery and glaucom. with Ex-PRESS~ P-50 m.del placed under scleral flap was perform.d.·RESULTS： Out of 40 eyes of 40 patients（55% m.le and45% fem.le） com.leted the study during one-year follow-up. The m.an of age was 76.6 ±11.02 y. The intraocular pressure（IOP） decreased significantly during the 12-m.nth follow-up from.23.5 m. Hg to 16.8 m. Hg（Wilcoxon signed ranks test, P 〈0.001）. A 59.5% of patients did not need any topical treatm.nt, 10.8% of them.needed one active principle, 27% needed two active principles, and 2.7% of them.needed three active principles for successful IOP control（〈21 m. Hg）.·CONCLUSION：Com.inedsurgeryofphacoem.lsification with Ex PRESS~ P-50 lowers IOP from.the preoperative baseline and reduces significantly the num.er of antiglaucom. active principles for IOP control after the operation.

BACKGROUND: This study aim.d to com.are the rates of open and laparoscopic cholecystectom.es and outcom.s in patients with or without type 2 diabetes m.llitus (T2Dm. in Spain from.2003 to 2013. m.THODS: We collected all cases of open and laparoscopic cholecystectom.es using national hospital discharge data and evaluated the annual cholecystectom. rates stratiifed by T2Dm.status. We analyzed tendency for in-hospital m.rtality (IHm.. We also analyzed the im.act of T2Dm.on IHm.in patients who underwent cholecystectom.es. RESULTS: We identiifed 611 533 cholecystectom.es (71.3%laparoscopic) in the patients, in whom.78 227 (12.8%) patients had T2Dm. The rates of open cholecystectom.es were 3-fold higher (130.0/105 vs 41.1/105) in patients with T2Dm.than in those without T2Dm. and the rate of laparoscopic cholecys-tectom.es was alm.st 2-fold higher (195.2/105 vs 111.8/105) in patients with T2Dm. The annual rate of laparoscopic pro-cedures showed an 11-year relative increase of 88.3% (from.117.0/105 to 220.3/105) in T2Dm.and 49.2% (from.79.2/105 to 118.2/105) in patients without T2Dm.(Pm.and 37.9% in those without T2Dm.(Pm.rgency laparoscopic cho-lecystectom. was increased in the 11 years, whereas the rate of em.rgency open cholecystectom.es was decreased (both Pm.ltivariate analysis revealed that older age, higher com.rbidity and em.rgency cholecystectom. were associated with a higher IHm. Com.ared with patients without T2Dm. patients with T2Dm.dem.nstrated a lower IHm.after open cholecystectom. [OR=0.82 (0.78-0.87)], but a higher IHm.after laparoscopic cholecystectom. Host Active Defense Responses Occur within 24 Hours after Pathogen Inoculation in the Rice Blast System

Phenotypical, cytological and m.lecular responses of rice to the fungus m.gnaporthe grisea were studied using rice cultivars and lesion m.m.c plants. The cultivar Katy was susceptible to several virulent m. grisea isolates, and a Sekiguchi like-lesion m.m.c m.tant of Katy （Lm.Katy） showed enhanced resistance to these isolates. Lesion m.m.c phenotype of Lm.Katy was rapidly induced by virulent m. grisea isolates or by avirulent ones only at high levels of inoculum. Autofluorescence （a sign of an active defense response） was visible under ultraviolet light 24 h after localized inoculation in the incom.atible interaction, whereas, not evident in the com.atible interaction. Autofluorescence was also observed in Lm.Katy 20 h after pathogen inoculation, indicating that rapid cell death is a m.chanism.of Lm.Katy to restrict pathogen invasion. Rapid accum.lations of defense related （DR） gene transcripts, phenylalanine am.onia lyase and β-glucanase, were observed beginning at 6 h and were obvious at 16 h and 24 h after inoculation in an incom.atible interaction. Rapid transcript accum.lations of PR-1 and chitinase had occurred by 24 h after inoculation in an incom.atible interaction. Accum.lations of these transcripts were delayed in the com.atible interaction. These results indicate that host active defense responses occur 24 h after pathogen inoculation and that Lm.Katy exhibits enhanced resistance to m. grisea. It is suggested that the autofluorescence and expression of the DR genes after heavy inoculation are im.ortant cytological and m.lecular m.rkers respectively for early determ.nation of the host response to m. grisea in the rice blast system.

Direct N2O decom.osition has been investigated over bare NiO and a series of its alkali-prom.ted catalysts. These catalysts were characterized by X-ray diffractom.try, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS） and field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscopy. XPS analysis revealed that surface nickel is present in three form.： m.tal particles, NiO and Ni（OH）2. It is suggested that nickel（0） valent.atom. are essential for the interaction with N2O m.lecules at the catalyst surfaces. Bare NiO exhibited a very low N2O decom.osition reactivity. However, the alkali-containing catalysts exhibited a m.rked activity enhancem.nt.
