The purpose of this study was to evaluate the storage conditions as a way to increase the safety of fermented sausage, with the specific objectives to investigate the effect of storage time, pH value, water activity and microbiological status （Lactobacillus spp and Enterobacteriaceae） on the levels of Yersinia enterocolitica in fermented sausages. For this experiment, meat was divided into four equal portions of 10 kg each. The first portion was control group （C1 group） without addition of Y. enterocolitica and starter culture. The second portion （CII group） was inoculated starter, the third portion （EI group） was inoculated with I1. enterocolitica and the fourth portion （Eli group） was inoculated Y.. enterocolitica and starter culture. Sampling was performed by randomly selecting two links of each sausage preparation at the 0, 3rd, 6th, 9th, 15th, 25th and 35th day of drying. Results show that Y. enterocolitica and Enterobacteriaceae were not detected after 25 d of storage. The results indicate that practice utilizing starter culture is satisfactory to reduction of pathogen if present. Thus, inclusion with starter cultures in a maturation period may increase the safety of fermented sausages.

目的:分析原发性开角型青光眼(POAG)视盘损害的进展和进展频率。方法:33例(66眼)POAG患者,男14例,女19例,年龄14 ～79岁,在随访的6a间(2000/2006),3次或更多次进行海德堡视网膜断层扫描仪Ⅱ(HRT Ⅱ)检查。对整体和节段的视盘参数进行回归分析判断视盘损害的进展。患者每年进行Octopus G1计算机视野分析检查一次。激光扫描视盘图像参数包括:盘沿面积(ra),杯盘比(C/D),盘沿体积(rv),平均视神经纤维层厚度(mRNFL)。扫描视神经的节段包括总体(G),颞侧(T),颞上(TS),颞下(TI),鼻侧(N),鼻上方(NS)和鼻下(NI)。结果:根据杯盘比C/D,总体上有34眼(51%)视盘损害进展,32眼(48%)没有进展。12眼(18%)颞侧(T),7眼(10.6%)颞上,14眼(21%)颞下,8眼(12%)鼻侧,7眼(10,6%)鼻上,13眼(20%)鼻下,视盘损害进展。5眼(8%)没有进展。结论:在鼻侧(N)及颞下方(TI)视盘损害进展最多,进展频率最高在颞下方(TI)和鼻下方(NI),频率最低在鼻上方(NI)。杯盘比C/D最敏感。节段扫描对POAG进展分析有重要意义。

The data of field studies about mineral nutrient content in the biomass components of young birch stands （9-15 years old） in different forest growing conditions and soil types have been analyzed. In forest growing conditions on fertile soils （ASG, TSC and SP） the total amount of biomass produced by young birch stands divides into fractions as follows： stem wood 51.8%-59.5%; branch wood 9.8%-12.4%; foliage 5.7%-6.8%; stump wood and roots 25%-30%. In forest types on lean soils （TP） the same indices are 32.3%-41.8%, 18.2%-24.2%, 13.2%-16.1% and 26.8%-27.4%, respectively. The stand performance closely correlates with the basic nutrient （P, N, K, C and Mg） availability in forest soils. In lean typicpodzol soils （TP） the content of mineral nutrients is no higher than 20%-48% of that in more fertile soils （ASG, TSC and SP）. In young birch stands the take-up of mineral nutrients from 0-40 cm soil layer for developing the above-ground biomass makes a fairly small proportion of the total： up to 4.8%-6.2% for P; 4.9%-12.2% for N; 1.1%-4.1% for K; 11.6% for Ca; 0.8%-7.7% for Mg; in leaner soils the same indices are P 0.1%-0.4%, N 1%-1.5%, K 0.2%-0.6%, Ca 0.1%-0.9%, Mg 0.1%-0.8%, respectively. The analyses of pest damages in young birch stands confirm a hypothesis that the degree of pest damage depends on the stand vitality as described by the site index.

In the Dinaric Foreland Basin (northern margin of Neotethys， Croatia)， in the foredeep/basinal area， pelitic hemipelagic/pelagic (H/P) deposits (marls) were deposited during Middle to Late Eocene. Syn-sedimentary tectonic movements， paleogeographic position and exchanges of short-lived hyperthermal episodes affected the sedimentation and related mineral and geochemical record of these deposits. Mineral (clay) assemblage carries signature of prevailing physical weathering with significant illite and chlorite content， but climatic seasonality is suggested by smectite-interlayered phases and sporadical increase of kaolinite content. Illite crystallinity varies significantly， and the lowest crystallinity is recorded for the Lutetian samples. Illite chemistry index is always bellow 0.5 being characteristic for Fe-Mg-rich illite. The geochemical records are the most prominent (CIA up to 76， CIW up to 91) for the Istrian Lutetian (42.3–40.5 Ma)， but also for Priabonian (35.8–34.3 Ma) samples of Hvar Island. The ICV values (the lowest 1.40 and the highest 10.85) of all studied samples fall above PAAS (ICV = 0.85) and point to their chemical immaturity. The Ga/Rb ratios are lower than 0.2 and K2O/Al2O3ratios are also low (0.16–0.22)， implying transition between cold and dry， and warm and humid climate， obviously trending among several warming episodes.

AIM To investigate whether duodenal lesions induced by major venous occlusions can be attenuated by BPC 157 regardless nitric oxide(NO) system *** Male Wistar rats underwent superior anterior pancreaticoduodenal vein(SAPDV)-ligation and were treated with a bath at the ligated SAPDV site(BPC 157 10 μg, 10 ng/kg per 1 mL bath/rat; L-NAME 5 mg/kg per 1 m L bath/rat; L-arginine 100 mg/kg per 1 mL bath/rat, alone and/or together; or BPC 157 10 μg/kg instilled into the rat stomach, at 1 min ligation-time). We recorded the vessel presentation(filled/appearance or emptied/disappearance) between the 5 arcade vessels arising from the SAPDV on the ventral duodenum side, the inferior anterior pancreaticoduodenal vein(IAPDV) and superior mesenteric vein(SMV) as bypassing vascular pathway to document the duodenal lesions presentation; increased NO-and oxidative stress [malondialdehyde(MDA)]-levels in *** Unlike the severe course in the SAPDV-ligated controls, after BPC 157 application, the rats exhibited strong attenuation of the mucosal lesions and serosal congestion, improved vessel presentation, increased interconnections, increased branching by more than 60% from the initial value, the IAPDV and SMV were not congested. Interestingly, after 5 min and 30 min of L-NAME and L-arginine treatment alone, decreased mucosal and serosal duodenal lesions were observed; their effect was worsened at 24 h, and no effect on the collateral vessels and branching was seen. Together, L-NAME+L-arginine antagonized each other's response, and thus, there was an NO-related effect. With BPC 157, all SAPDV-ligated rats receiving L-NAME and/or L-arginine appeared similar to the rats treated with BPC 157 alone. Immunoglobulin G(IgG)is the most abundant plasma glycoprotein and a prominent humoral immune *** composition affects the affinity of IgG to ligands and consequent immune *** modification of IgG N-glycosylation is considered to be one of the various mechanisms by which sex hormones modulate the immune *** the menstrual cycle is the central sex hormonerelated physiological process in most women of reproductive age,IgG N-glycosylation dynamics during the menstrual cycle have not yet been *** fill this gap,we profiled the plasma IgG Nglycans of 70 healthy premenopausal women at 12 time points during their menstrual cycles(every 7 days for 3 months)using hydrophilic interaction ultra-performance liquid chromatography(HILIC-UPLC).We observed cyclic periodic changes in the N-glycosylation of IgG in association with the menstrual cycle phase and sex hormone concentration in *** the integrated cohort level,the modeled average menstrual cycle effect on the abundance of IgG N-glycosylation traits was low for each trait,with the highest being 1.1%for agalactosylated ***,intrapersonal changes were relatively high in some cases;for example,the largest difference between the minimum and maximum values during the menstrual cycle was up to 21%for sialylated *** all measurements,the menstrual cycle phase could explain up to 0.72%of the variation in the abundance of a single IgG glycosylation trait of *** contrast,up to 99%of the variation in the abundance of digalactosylation could be attributed to interpersonal differences in IgG *** conclusion,the average extent of changes in the IgG N-glycopattern that occur during the menstrual cycle is small;thus,the IgG N-glycoprofiling of women in large sample-size studies can be performed regardless of menstrual cycle phase.

Globally,marine bioinvasions threaten marine ecosystem structure and function,with the Mediterranean Sea being one of the most affected *** invasions are expected to increase due to climate *** conducted a risk screening of marine organisms(37 fishes,38 invertebrates,and 9 plants),both extant and‘horizon’(i.e.,not present in the area but likely to enter it).Based on expert knowledge for the Eastern Adriatic Sea coasts of Slovenia,Croatia,and Montenegro,screenings were conducted under both current and predicted climate conditions indicating with an increase in sea surface temperature and salinity of the Adriatic Sea together with changes in precipitation *** aims were to:(1)identify non-native extant and horizon marine species that may pose threats to native biodiversity and(2)evaluate the risk of invasiveness of the selected species under current and predicted climate *** the 84 species screened,there was an increase in those ranked as‘high risk’from 33(39.3%)under current climate conditions and to 47(56.0%)under global warming *** those ranked as‘very high’risk,the increase was from 6(7.1%)to 21(25.0%).Amongst the screened species,the already established high-risk species Pacific oyster Magallana gigas and Atlantic blue crab Callinectes sapidus represent a threat to ecosystem *** the under-representation of marine species in the current European Union List,the species we have ranked as high to very high risk should be included.

Assessment of the Trophic Status by Monitoring of Reservoir’s Water Quality

Continuous long-term monitoring of aquatic systems is important for understanding their complete evolution in order to monitor changes in the trophic status and water quality. The continuous monitoring during a period of 20 years, by sampling once a month at two locations, the water quality of reservoir “Grliste”, which is used for the water supplying town Zajecar (Eastern Serbia), is observed and developmental stages in the life of the reservoir were determinated. It should be noted that the obtained results were used also in the purpose of finding a cause of cyanobacteria bloom, as a consequence of algal production. Limiting factors of algal production usually were nitrogen and phosphorus, however, in this study, obtained results of subtraction between trophic state index, calculated through total chlorophyll a (TSIChl-a) and trophic state index, calculated through total phosphorus (TSITP), indicated that limiting factor of algal production was light. On the basis of the concentrations of dissolved oxygen (DO), total phosphorus (TP) and chlorophyll a (Chl-a) in the surface and in the bottom, it was concluded that the reservoir passed through four development phases during the examined period. Results of long-term monitoring showed that in the first years after the formation of the reservoir, the highest trophicity was detected (hypereutrophic status), but later the reservoir mostly maintained eutrophic status.
