Consider the heterogeneity(e.g.,heterogeneous social behaviour,heterogeneity due to different geography,contrasting contact patterns and different numbers of sexual partners etc.)of host population,in this paper,the authors propose an infection age multigroup SEIR epidemic *** model system also incorporates the feedback variables,where the infectivity of infected individuals may depend on the infection *** the direction of mathematical analysis of model,the basic reproduction number R_0 has been *** global stability of disease-free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium have been established in the term of R_(0).More precisely,for R_(0)≤1,the disease-free equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable and for R_(0)>1,they establish global stability of endemic equilibrium using some graph theoretic techniques to Lyapunov function *** considering a numerical example,they investigate the effects of infection age and feedback on the prevalence of the *** result shows that feedback parameters have different and even opposite effects on different ***,by choosing an appropriate value of feedback parameters,the disease could be eradicated or maintained at endemic ***,the infection age of infected individuals may also change the behaviour of the disease,global stable to damped oscillations or damped oscillations to global stable.

Lysosomal storage disorders(LSD)are a rare group of genetic *** major LSDs that cause liver dysfunction are disorders of sphingolipid lipid storage[Gaucher disease(GD)and Niemann-Pick disease]and lysosomal acid lipase deficiency[cholesteryl ester storage disease and Wolman disease(WD)].These diseases can cause significant liver problems ranging from asymptomatic hepatomegaly to cirrhosis and portal *** storage cells initiate hepatic fibrosis in sphingolipid *** causes micronodular cirrhosis in lipid storage *** disorders must be keenly differentiated from other chronic liver diseases and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis that affect children and young ***,Niemann-Pick type C,and WD also cause neonatal cholestasis and infantile liver *** and liver phenotype correlation is variable in these *** with LSD may survive up to 4-5 decades except for those with neonatal onset *** diagnosis of all LSD is based on enzymatic activity,tissue histology,and genetic *** replacement is possible in GD and Niemann-Pick types A and B though there are major limitations in the *** that progress invariably require liver transplantation with variable *** prognosis of Niemann-Pick type C and WD is universally *** replacement therapy has a promising role in cholesteryl ester storage *** review attempts to outline the natural history of these disorders from a hepatologist’s perspective to increase awareness and facilitate better management of these rare disorders.

Recently,the Darna distribution has been introduced as a new lifetime *** two-parameter Darna distribution represents is a mixture of two well-known gamma and exponential distributions.A manufacturer or an engineer of products conducts life testing to examine whether the quality level of products meets the customer’s requirements,such as reliability or the minimum *** this article,an attribute modified chain sampling inspection plan based on the time truncated life test is proposed for items whose lifetime follows the Darna *** plan parameters,including the sample size,the acceptance number,and the past lot result of the proposed sampling plan,are determined with the help of the two-point approach considering the acceptable quality level(AQL)and the limiting quality level(LQL).The plan parameters and the corresponding operating characteristic functions of a new plan are provided in tabular form for various Darna distribution ***,a few illustrated examples are presented for various distribution *** usefulness of the proposed attribute modified chain sampling plan is investigated using two real failure time *** results indicate that the proposed sampling plan can reduce the sample size when the termination ratio increases for fixed values of the producer’s risk and acceptance ***,the proposed attribute modified chain sampling inspection plan is recommended to practitioners in the field.

Objective:To explore natural compounds as potential inhibitors against main protease(Mpro)of ***:In the current study,systematic molecular docking analysis was conducted using AutoDock 4.2 to determine the binding affinities and interactions between natural compounds and *** natural compounds were further validated using a combination of molecular dynamic(MD)simulations and molecular mechanic Poisson-Boltzmann surface area(MM/PBSA)free energy c alculation ***:Out of twenty natural compounds,four natural metabolites namely,amentoflavone,guggulsterone,puerarin,and piperine were found to have strong interaction with Mpro of SARS-CoV-2 based on docking *** MD simulations,all four natural compounds bound to Mpro at 50 ns and MM/G/P/BSA free energy calculations showed that all four shortlisted ligands had stable and favorable energies with strong binding to Mpro ***:Guggulsterone is a potential inhibitor of COVID-19 main protease *** in vitro and pre-clinical studies are needed.

Temporal Variations in Carbon Stock of Pinus roxburghii Sargent Forests of Himachal Pradesh,India

The present study was conducted in Solan Forest Division of Himachal Pradesh covering an area of about 57,158 ha. The aim was to estimate and assess the temporal change in carbon stock of the Chil Working Circle, in two forest ranges of the Division, Solan and Dharampur, over the period of 1956-2011. The inventory data of the working plans of Solan Forest Division from 1956-1957, 1984-1985 and 2002-2003 were used in the present study while field data for biomass estimation was collected for the year *** results showed a declining trend in carbon stock over 1956-1984 period, however, an increasing trend over 1984-2002 was observed, which showed a further increase for the period 2002-2011. These fluctuating trends in the forest carbon stock can be related to increasing anthropogenic pressure on forests and the subsequent introduction of a ban on green felling envisaging efficient forest management, both of which affect the forest carbon pool significantly.

Malate and Lactate Dehydrogenases of a Freshwater Catfish: Impact of Endosulfan

A sublethal concentration of technical grade endosulfan (END) inhibited 35 to 55% of the activities of cytoplasmic malate dehydrogenase (cMDH), mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase (mMDH), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) in the liver and the skeletal muscle of a freshwater catfish, Clarias halrachus, after 7 days of exposure. The activity remained in the inhibited state up to 28 days. The withdrawal of END from the medium after 1 week of exposure gradually restored the activities to control levels within 21 days in the skeletal muscle and 28 days in the liver. The administration of actinomycin D or cycloheximide between the 14th and the 21st day of the withdrawal of END almost completely inhibited the withdrawal-dependent recovery in the activities of all the three enzymes. This indicates de novo synthesis of the enzymes during the recovery period. A conjoint treatment of END and triiodothyronine (T_3) raised the activities of cMDH, mMDH, and LDH in the liver and the skeletal muscle up to the control levels. This shows that the inhibitory effect of END may be relieved in presence of T_3. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis showed few changes in the pattern of cytoplasmic proteins of the liver and the skeletal muscle in response to exposure to END. 1990 Academic Press. A theoretical study is conducted for magnetohydrodynamic pumping of electroconductive couple stress physiological liquids(***)through a two-dimensional ciliated channel.A geometric model is employed for the cilia which are distributed at equal intervals and produce a whip-like motion under fluid interaction which obeys an elliptic trajectory.A metachronal wave is mobilized by the synchronous beating of cilia and the direction of wave propagation is parallel to the direction of fluid flow.A transverse static magnetic field is imposed transverse to the channel *** Stokes’couple stress(polar)rheological model is utilized to characterize the *** normalized two-dimensional conservation equations for mass,longitudinal and transverse momentum are reduced with lubrication approximations(long wavelength and low Reynolds number assumptions)and feature a fourth order linear derivative in axial velocity representing couple stress contribution.A coordinate transformation is employed to map the unsteady problem from the wave laboratory frame to a steady problem in the wave *** slip conditions are imposed at the channel *** emerging linearized boundary value problem is solved analytically and expressions presented for axial(longitudinal)velocity,volumetric flow rate,shear stress function and pressure *** flow is effectively controlled by three geometric parameters,viz cilia eccentricity parameter,wave number and cilia length and two physical parameters,namely magnetohydrodynamic(MHD)body force parameter and couple stress non-Newtonian *** solutions are numerically evaluated with MATLAB *** velocity is observed to be enhanced in the core region with greater wave number whereas it is suppressed markedly with increasing cilia length,couple stress and magnetic parameters,with significant flattening of profiles with the latter two *** pressure gradient is decreased with eccentricity parameter whereas it is ele

Objective:To delineate immunomodulatory role of histamine on antibody generation pr of ile in rabbit in the present dose-dependent histamine ***:The cohort comprised of three groups(Ⅲ,ⅣandⅤ),containing six rabbits each,and received subcutaneous histamine 50μg/kg×bis in die(b.i.d.),100μg/kg×*** 200μg/kg X b.i.d.,respectively for 10 days (starting from the 1st day).They were subsequently immunized on the 3rd day with intravenous injection of sheep blood cell(SRBC)(1×10 cells/mL).GroupⅡ(positive control)(n=6) received vehicle(sterile distilled water) and immunized at day 3 similarly while groupⅠ(negative control) (n=6) remained non-immunized and received only *** experimentations were performed in *** samples were collected on pre-immunization(pre-I)(day 0),as well as on days 7-,14-,21-,28- and 58- post-immunization(post-I).Immunological parameters[total immunoglobulins(Igs),IgM and IgG]were analyzed by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) ***:Histamine could influence a detectable antibody response to SRBC as early as day 7-post-I,which lasted until day 58- *** results were found statistically significant(P< 0.05).Conclusions:Our results provide evidence that histamine has a short-term effect on antibody generation(until its presence in the body),and the antibody generation titer in vivo were affected by the concentration of histamine.
