Trehalose(Tre)is a non-reducing disaccharide found in many species,including bacteria,fungi,invertebrates,yeast,and even plants,where it acts as an osmoprotectant,energy source,or protein/membrane *** relatively small amounts in plants,Tre concentrations increase following exposure to abiotic ***-6-phosphate,a precursor of Tre,has regulatory functions in sugar metabolism,crop production,and stress *** the various abiotic stresses,temperature extremes(heat or cold stress)are anticipated to impact crop production worldwide due to ongoing climate *** small amounts of Tre can mitigate negative physiological,metabolic,and molecular responses triggered by temperature *** also interacts with other sugars,osmoprotectants,amino acids,and phytohormones to regulate metabolic reprogramming that underpins temperature stress *** plants expressing Tre-synthesis genes accumulate Tre and show improved stress ***-wide studies of Tre-encoding genes suggest roles in plant growth,development,and stress *** review discusses the functions of Tre in mitigating temperature stress—highlighting genetic engineering approaches to modify Tre metabolism,crosstalk,and interactions with other molecules—and in-silico approaches for identifying novel Tre-encoding genes in diverse plant *** consider how this knowledge can be used to develop temperature-resilient crops essential for sustainable agriculture.

SSR分子标记在花生杂种鉴定中的应用

以24份花生材料为亲本,配制22个杂交组合,并利用40对SSR引物对24份亲本材料进行多态性筛选,运用多态性引物鉴定92个F1代杂种的真伪.结果表明,不同组合亲本间多态性差异较大,差异最大的两亲本(GT-C20-D和Tamrun OL07)的多态性引物比例为6... 详细信息

以24份花生材料为亲本,配制22个杂交组合,并利用40对SSR引物对24份亲本材料进行多态性筛选,运用多态性引物鉴定92个F1代杂种的真伪.结果表明,不同组合亲本间多态性差异较大,差异最大的两亲本(GT-C20-D和Tamrun OL07)的多态性引物比例为65%.SSR标记法鉴定出49个单株为真杂种;而田间表型鉴定出62个单株为真杂种,与标记鉴定结果差异较大.本研究证实利用分子标记鉴定真假杂种非常必要,且准确可行.同时,本试验证明40对SSR引物具有较高的多态性,可直接用于花生遗传多样性、杂种鉴定以及遗传图谱构建等的研究.

Surface Modification Aspects for Improving Biomedical Properties in Implants:A Review

The primary focus during surgery is to ensure successful implantation by achieving long-term and stable fixation of *** surgery is now more focused on the development of novel biomaterials intended to improve implant *** obtain a better understanding of metal implants,this article investigated the causes of material failures in certain cases and analysed a few case *** interaction between the implant and bone tissue was a crucial aspect of successful implantation,and this study explored the factors influencing this interaction as well as ways to improve *** modern approaches used for modifying implant surfaces were systematically illustrated and briefly *** spray coatings were often favoured because of their wide range of coating materials,but other substantial surface modifications(such as friction stir processing and laser surface texturing)were also used for a selection of ***,implant surfaces with desirable features,such as biocompatibility,antibacterial properties,corrosion resistance,and wear resistance,were essential for optimising implant *** systematic review's main aim is to provide exhaustive reference information and a broad overview to advance the production and design of orthopaedic implants.

Microstructural, wettability, and corrosion behaviour of TiO_(2) thin film sputtered on aluminium

The study investigated the application of radiofrequency(RF)-sputtered TiO2 coatings at various temperatures to enhance the hydrophobicity and corrosion resistance of Al6061 *** research aimed to establish a correlation between the coating process and the resulting surface *** roughness and wettability were quantified with a surface profilometer and ***,chemical boiling and salt spray corrosion tests were conducted to evaluate any topographical changes during these *** analysis further involved the use of field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM),energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)techniques to characterize the deposited *** findings indicated that the TiO2 coating applied at 500℃exhibited the highest water contact angle and superior corrosion resistance compared to other *** characterization confirmed that this specific TiO_(2) coating at 500℃ effectively delays corrosion due to its hydrophobic behavior,making it durable for industrial applications.

Understanding rhabdomyolysis induced acute kidney injury in patients with COVID-19

This work comments on an article published in the recent issue of the World Journal of *** is a complex condition with symptoms such as myalgia,changes to urination,and *** the potential for substantial kidney impairment,it has also been shown to be a severe complication of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).To date,various theoretical explanations exist for the development of rhabdomyolysis induced acute kidney injury(RIAkI)in COVID-19 infection,including the accumulation of released striated muscle myoglobin in the urine(myoglobinuria).In their article,they(2024)demonstrate in a retrospective study that RIAkI in COVID-19 patients tended to have elevated levels of C-reactive protein,ferritin,and *** patients also had poorer overall prognoses when compared to COVID-19 patients who have acute kidney injury(AkI)due to other *** is clear from these findings that clinicians must closely monitor and assess for the presence of rhabdomyolysis in COVID-19 patients who have developed ***,additional research is required to further understand the mechanisms behind the development of RIAkI in COVID-19 patients in order to better inform treatment guidelines and protocols.

CuO–TiO_(2) based self-powered broad band photodetector

An efficient room-temperature self-powered,broadband(300 nm–1100 nm)photodetector based on a CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)/p-Si(100)heterostructure is *** CuO–TiO_(2)nanocomposites were grown in a two-zone horizontal tube furnace on a 40 nm TiO_(2)thin film deposited on a p-type Si(100)*** CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)/p-Si(100)devices exhibited excellent rectification characteristics under dark and individual photoillumination *** devices showed remarkable photo-response under broadband(300–1100 nm)light illumination at zero bias voltage,indicating the achievement of highly sensitive self-powered photodetectors at visible and near-infrared light *** maximum response of the devices is observed at 300 nm for an illumination power of 10 *** response and recovery times were calculated as 86 ms and 78 ms,***,under a small bias,the devices showed a prompt binary response by altering the current from positive to negative under illumination *** main reason behind this binary response is the low turn-on voltage and photovoltaic characteristics of the *** illumination conditions,the generation of photocurrent is due to the separation of photogenerated electron-hole pairs within the built-in electric field at the CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)*** characteristics make the CuO–TiO_(2)/TiO_(2)broadband photodetectors suitable for applications that require high response speeds and self-sufficient functionality.

亚洲象(Elephasmaximus)是尼泊尔特莱(Terai)低地保护区重要的大型动物之一,它们经常在保护区森林边界附近遇到人类及其生计支持活动。人象冲突一直是保护区附近人类居住区的主要问题之一,每年都会造成经济损失,甚至威胁人类的生命安全,这一问题阻碍了保护区的可持续管理。本研究的目的是分析巴迪亚国家公园缓冲区人象冲突的原因,并评估人们对这种大型动物的感知。为此,在巴迪亚国家公园缓冲区内的三个市镇进行了结构化问卷调查。此外,作为问卷调查的补充,还对关键知情人士进行了访谈。结果显示,93%的受访者在过去三年中曾遭遇大象的袭击。由于大象袭击,去年每个家庭平均损失了大约9690尼泊尔卢比。大象的攻击行为大多数发生在7月至9月,其次是10月至12月。这表明大象对作物的偏好是研究区大象发起攻击/袭击行为的主要原因。大象袭击的第二个重要原因是由于农田向森林的扩张而导致大象食物不足。90%的受访者对大象攻击的反应是驱赶它们(使用火或噪音);51%的受访者接受人象共存,他们认为大象具有生物学和经济价值;然而,还有41%的人拒绝与大象共存,因为大象对当地居民及其生计构成了威胁。人象冲突已对保护区管理活动产生了负面影响,因此,必须通过保护区、当地居民和行政利益相关者的合作来解决相关问题。建议以后开展更多的研究,以了解大象在森林边界和邻近定居点附近人们的居住和迁徙模式。
