The bulk properties of materials in an extreme environment such as high temperature and high pressure can be understood by studying anharmonic effects due to the vibration of lattice ions and thermally excited *** this spirit,in the present paper,anharmonic effects are studied by using the recently proposed mean-field potential（mFP） approach and mermin functional which arise due to the vibration of lattice ions and thermally excited electrons,*** mFP experienced by a wanderer atom in the presence of surrounding atoms is constructed in terms of cold energy using the local form of the *** have calculated the temperature variation of several thermophysical properties in an extreme environment up to melting *** results of our calculations are in excellent agreement with the experimental findings as well as the theoretical results obtained by using first principle *** conclude that presently used conjunction scheme（mFP＋pseudo potential） is simple computationally,transparent physically,and accurate in the sense that the results generated are comparable and sometimes better than the results obtained by first principle *** pseudopotential used is transferable to extreme environment without adjusting its parameters.

Eu（ Ⅲ ） can be utilized as an indirect electrochemical probe to investigate the interaction of bio-molecules such as DOPA and Dopamine with Ca（ Ⅱ ） in vitro. The interaction of DOPA and Dopamine with Eu（ Ⅲ ）-Eu（ Ⅱ ） redox pair was investigated by electrochemical techniques. Both the neurotransmitters are structurally related and undergo interaction with Eu （Ⅲ ）. Eu （ Ⅲ ） coordinates with DOPA and Dopamine through five-member chelate tings via carboxylic oxygen and amino nitrogen. The electrode kinetic parameters viz, transfer coefficient （αna）, diffusion coefficient （D）, forward heterogeneous rate constant （ k^0 fh） were evaluated for Eu（ Ⅲ ）-DOPA/Eu（ Ⅲ ）-Dopamine. The results obtained were used to investigate the nature of interaction of Eu （Ⅲ） with muhi-donor biomolecules. The possible mechanism was also proposed.

Artificial neural networks(ANNs)have been successfully applied to problems in different fields including medicine,management,and *** major disadvantage of ANNs is that there is no systematic approach for model *** literature suggests a trial-and-error method for parameter setting which requires more *** accuracy of the ANN model greatly depends on the network parameter settings including the number of neurons,momentum,learning rate,transfer function,and training *** this paper,we apply Taguchi’s design of experiments approach to determine the optimum set of parameters for an ANN trained using feed forward *** present a case study of an equivalent stress prediction model for an automobile chassis to demonstrate the implementation of the *** training the network,the optimum values of the ANN parameters are determined according to the performance *** performance of the ANN is superior using the Taguchi method to optimize the parameters compared with random parameter values.

Distribution of plant species along the elevation gradient in Pangi, a high altitude and remote eco-region in Western Himalaya, India

The Himalayan high-altitude eco-regions exhibit higher plant species diversity, and several environmental factors play a crucial role in shaping species distribution and diversity. The aim of the present study is to investigate the floristic composition, distribution of endemic, threatened and native taxa across the elevation zones and the effect of various environmental factors on species richness pattern along the elevation gradient in Pangi, a remote highaltitude region of Himalaya. We conducted extensive field surveys covering 31 localities and established elevational transects for assessing species distribution and the factors affecting thereof. Additionally, information on nativity, endemism, and IUCN red-list categories of threatened species were compiled from published and online resources. Data were analysed using regression model and Non-metric multiDimensional Scaling(NmDS). In the present study, we recorded a total of 771 plant species across the region. In regression model, the elevation and anthropogenic variables and their interaction showed significant negative effects on the species richness. Species richness was found to decrease with the increasing elevation, showing a humped shaped pattern, with maximum richness observed in the mid-elevations(2,400m to 3,300m above sea level). The pattern of distribution of native and non-native species along the elevation gradient showed opposite trends, and proportion of native species increased towards the higher elevations. Further, NmDS ordination suggests that zone-Ⅰ(2,100-2,500m asl) and zone-Ⅴ(4,001-4,500m asl) had highest differences in species composition, while zone-Ⅰ, zone-Ⅱ(2,501-3,000m asl), and zone-Ⅲ(3,001-3,500m asl) showed higher affinity with respect to their species composition. The various theoretical and experimental models for ion conduction mechanism of fast ion conducting （FIC） glass electrolytes have been reported in the present review paper. Some characterization techniques of FIC glasses are presented. The experimental methods for determination of some ion transport parameters viz ionic conductivity （σ）, ionic mobility （μ）, mobile ion concentration （n）, ionic drift velocity （vd）, ionic transference number （tion） and activation energies of FIC glasses are explained. The solid state battery fabrication by using some FIC glasses is also reported.

This paper presents the results of fire resistance tests on carbon fiber-reinforced polymer(CFRP)strengthened concrete flexural members,i.e.,T-beams and *** strengthened members were protected with fire insulation and tested under the combined effects of thermal and structural *** variables considered in the tests include the applied load level,extent of strengthening,and thickness of the fire insulation applied to the beams and ***,a previously developed numerical model was validated against the data generated from the fire tests;subsequently,it was utilized to undertake a case *** from fire tests and numerical studies indicate that owing to the protection provided by the fire insulation,the insulated CFRP-strengthened beams and slabs can withstand four and three hours of standard fire exposure,respectively,under service load *** insulation layer impedes the temperature rise in the member;therefore,the CFRP-concrete composite action remains active for a longer duration and the steel reinforcement temperature remains below 400°C,which in turn enhances the capacity of the beams and slabs.

We report the growth of high quality Fe excess and Co doped,FeTxSe single crystals in nominal ratio via slow cooling method of high temperature solution growth technique and,their structural and physical properties through the X‐ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,magnetic and transports *** area electron diffraction(SAED)patterns and X‐ray diffraction of cleavage piece confirm the growth of single crystals in(h0l)*** of phonon vibration modes(A_(1g) and B_(1g))in Raman spectroscopy measurements mark the qualitative analysis of these single *** temperature magnetic and electrical transport studies manifest the superconducting nature of both single crystals.
