Deep learning has reached many successes in video *** has become a growing important part of our daily digital *** advancement of better resolution content and the large volume offers serious challenges to the goal of receiving,distributing,compressing and revealing highquality video *** this paper we propose a novel Effective and Efficient video compression by the Deep learning framework based on the flask,which creatively combines the Deep learning Techniques on Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)and Generative Adversarial Networks(GAN).The video compression method involves the layers are divided into different groups for data processing,using CNN to remove the duplicate frames,repeating the single image instead of the duplicate images by recognizing and detecting minute changes using GAN and recorded with long Short-Term Memory(lSTM).Instead of the complete image,the small changes generated using GAN are substituted,which helps with frame-level *** wise comparison is performed using K-nearest Neighbours(KNN)over the frame,clustered with K-means and Singular value Decomposition(SvD)is applied for every frame in the video for all three colour channels[Red,Green,Blue]to decrease the dimension of the utility matrix[R,G,B]by extracting its latent *** frames are packed with parameters with the aid of a codec and converted to video format and the results are compared with the original *** experiments on several videos with different sizes,duration,Frames per second(FPS),and quality results demonstrated a significant resampling *** normal,the outcome delivered had around a 10%deviation in quality and over half in size when contrasted,and the original video.

Internet of Things (IoT) is transforming the technical setting ofconventional systems and finds applicability in smart cities, smart healthcare, smart industry, etc. In addition, the application areas relating to theIoT enabled models are resource-limited and necessitate crisp responses, lowlatencies, and high bandwidth, which are beyond their abilities. Cloud computing (CC) is treated as a resource-rich solution to the above mentionedchallenges. But the intrinsic high latency of CC makes it nonviable. The longerlatency degrades the outcome of IoT based smart systems. CC is an emergentdispersed, inexpensive computing pattern with massive assembly of heterogeneous autonomous systems. The effective use of task scheduling minimizes theenergy utilization of the cloud infrastructure and rises the income of serviceproviders by the minimization of the processing time of the user job. Withthis motivation, this paper presents an intelligent Chaotic Artificial ImmuneOptimization Algorithm for Task Scheduling (CAIOA-RS) in IoT enabledcloud environment. The proposed CAIOA-RS algorithm solves the issue ofresource allocation in the IoT enabled cloud environment. It also satisfiesthe makespan by carrying out the optimum task scheduling process with thedistinct strategies of incoming tasks. The design of CAIOA-RS techniqueincorporates the concept of chaotic maps into the conventional AIOA toenhance its performance. A series of experiments were carried out on theCloudSim platform. The simulation results demonstrate that the CAIOA-RStechnique indicates that the proposed model outperforms the original version,as well as other heuristics and metaheuristics.

The inventory of benthic macroinvertebrate species was carried out in some streams of the Mefou catchment area, from August 2021 to August 2022, in order to determine the biological groups that make up the population and characterise these environments. The dataset acquired during this study made it possible to update the existing database and contribute to the knowledge of the biological groups associated in these environments, and to provide additional information on the existing ones in relation to bioindication. Overall 80 families were identified and, on the basis of frequencies of occurrence greater than 75%, 22 families were retained as potential biological indicators. The remarkable diversity of insects and the low abundance of Diptera reflect the low degradation of environments and the good quality of water. The high diversity indices obtained reflect the maintenance of the favourable ecological conditions that favours the development of a balanced and, integrated biological community capable of adapting to changes.

Beans (Phaseolus vulgaris l.) are widely grown in Cameroon and play a key role in the fight against food insecurity, malnutrition and poverty. However, its cultivation encounters problems due to abiotic and biotic stresses, which leads to the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, which cause significant damage to the environment and human health due to the presence of synthetics residues in the seeds, pods and in the leaves that are eaten. Promoting the use of natural products is becoming a necessity for organic and eco-responsible agriculture that limits contamination problems and improves people’s purchasing power. This study aims to assess the effect of biostimulants based on natural products on the growth and nutritional value of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris l.). Bean seedlings from white variety (MEX-142) and red variety (DOR-701) were treated every seven days in the field from their pre-emergence, emergence and growth to their maturation under a randomized block experimental design. Six treatments and three repetitions with the biostimulants based on natural products and controls were thus performed and the agromorphological parameters were measured. After 120 days, the contents of growth biomarkers and defense-related enzymes were evaluated in leaves, while the contents of macromolecules, minerals and antinutrients were evaluated in seeds. These biostimulants significantly increased (P P luding oxalates, phytates, tannins and saponins in seeds compared to controls (T+ and T−). Treatment with biostimulants, in particular BS4, improves the performance of bean plants in the field as well as the biofortification of seeds regardless of the variety.

Antifouling Activities of Marine Bacteria Associated with Sponge (Sigmadocia sp.)

The present study aimed at assessing the antifouling activity of bacteria associated with marine sponges. A total of eight bacterial strains were isolated from the surface of sponge Sigmadocia sp., of them, SS02, SS05 and SS06 showed inhibitory activity against biofilm-forming bacteria. The extracts of these 3 strains considerably affected the extracellular polymeric substance producing ability and adhesion of biofilm-forming bacterial strains. In addition to disc diffusion assay, microalgal settlement assay was carried out with the extracts mixed with polyurethane wood polish and coated onto stainless steel coupons. The extract of strain SS05 showed strong microalgal settlement inhibitory activity. Strain SS05 was identified as Bacillus cereus based on its 16S rRNA gene. Metabolites of the bacterial strains associated with marine invertebrates promise to be developed into environment-friendly antifouling agents.

Background With some 134,073,166 people living in endemic communities at risk of infection[1],Nigeria is the most endemic country in Africa and requires preventive chemotherapy(PC)for a total of 26.3 million persons[2].The National Schistosomiasis Elimination Programme(NSCHEP),with the support of international partners,has been implementing PC in Nigeria since 2009 and most recently will need to revise its current strategy(Additional file 1).For example,the new World Health Organization(WHO)guideline has six key recommendations that will dramatically change the implementation of schistosomiasis elimination in endemic countries[3].However,its impact and programmatic implications will vary from country to country,hence the need for a country-specific analysis.

Alectra vogelii: A Threat to Bambara Groundnut Production under Climate Change: A Review Paper

Bambara groundnut (BGN) is a protein-rich pulse with the ability to lead to more climate-resilient agriculture. The objective of this study was to review Alectra vogelii as a potential threat to BGN production as a result of climate change. However, the crop faces biotic and abiotic stresses. Alectra vogelii is a major biotic constraint to BGN production, especially in Africa’s non-fertile semi-arid regions. Alectra vogelii (l.) Benth is a parasitic weed in the Orobanchaceae family that causes major damage by forming haustoria attached to roots to enable absorption of nutrients from the BGN. Alectra vogelii produces a large number of minute seeds that can live in the soil for up to 20 years. Based on the reviewed literature, various control mechanisms for dealing with the harmful effects of Alectra vogelii have been proposed. The aim of this research was to reveal the effect of Alectra vogelii on BGN and possible control strategies. We discuss the different control methods such as cultural and mechanical management procedures, phosphorus fertilizers and resistant host crops, herbicide use, and integrated Alectra vogelii control methods. In adaptive methods, however, new techniques remain important. The life cycle of root parasitic weeds is inextricably linked to that of their host, making it an ideal target for such new control techniques, especially when aimed at the early stages of the host-parasite relationship. This review reveals additional information on the function of parasitic seed, strigolactones and how they can be used in breeding to management parasitic weeds.

Phlegmonous appendicitis in children is characterized by eosinophilia in white blood cell counts

Background Phlegmonous and complicated appendicitis represent independent entities depending on hereditary immuno-logical mechanisms. However, clinically there are no means to distinguish uncomplicated phlegmonous from complicated appendicitis. The ability to distinguish these two forms of appendicitis is relevant as current attempts are to treat both forms of the disease differently. The aim of the present study was to investigate differences in white blood cell counts (WBCs) in these conditions to identify areas of interest for future molecular studies. Methods White blood cell counts of patients aged between 7 and 14 years who underwent appendectomy from January 2008 to June 2016 were investigated with special reference to particular cellular subpopulations. Results A total of 647 children were included in the study. Within distinct inflammatory patterns, significant eosinophilia and basophilia were found in phlegmonous inflammation compared with complicated inflammation (0.11±0.19×109/l vs. 0.046±0.104×109/l, Pl vs. 0.028±0.024×109/l, Plusions Compared with complicated disease, phlegmonous appendicitis seems to depend primarily on eosinophil inflam-mation. This observation is stable over time and indicates a direction for investigation of underlying genetic prerequisites.
