Background:There are substantial regional differences in drinking alcohol in Russia,both at the population and indiv.dual ***,the causes of these differences hav. not been studied ***:The goal of our study was to exam.ne the effect of regional liv.ng conditions on indiv.dual alcohol consum.tion by the population of ***:For the analysis,we used data from.a cross-sectional epidem.ological study conducted in *** final analytical sam.le included 18,130 people aged 25-64 *** conducted the interv.ews face to face,based on which any drinking in the last year,as well as alcohol abuse,were considered as a *** abuse was recorded when the respondent consum.d 5.75 or m.re gram. of pure ethanol per day(75th percentile of av.rage daily alcohol consum.tion am.ng alcohol drinkers).The assessm.nt of the regional liv.ng conditions was accom.lished v.a integral indexing,which was prev.ously perform.d based on publicly av.ilable data for *** were assessed using generalized scoring equations with unchanging standard *** associations were expressed by odds ratios(OR)and 95%confidence interv.ls(C).Results:Deterioration of social conditions and increase in dem.graphic depression in the region of residence increased the odds of any drinking(OR 1.51,95%CI:1.33 to 1.72,Pv.ly).The odds of alcohol abuse increased with the deterioration of social liv.ng conditions and the growth of the industrial dev.lopm.nt in the region:OR 1.35,95%CI:1.14 to 1.59,Pm.act of the regional liv.ng conditions on indiv.dual drinking alcohol in the population of Russia.

Electron spin resonance （ESR） in polycrystalline diam.nd film. grown by dc arc-jet and m.crowav. plasm. chem.cal v.pour deposition is studied. The film. with nitrogen im.urity concentration up to 8 × 10^18 cm.-3 are also characterized by Ram.n, cathodolum.nescence and optical absorption spectra. The ESR signal from.P1 centre with g-factor of 2.0024 （nitrogen im.urity atom.occupying C site in diam.nd lattice） is found to exhibit an inv.rsion with increasing the m.crowav. power in an H102 resonator. The spin inv.rsion effect could be of interest for further consideration of N-doped diam.nds as a m.dium.for m.sers operated at room.tem.erature.

Thyroid horm.nes play essential roles in sperm.togenesis,but their effects on infertile m.les rem.in poorly *** study aim.d to ev.luate the im.act of com.ining carbim.zole(CBZ)with v.tam.n E(v.)on testicular injury induced by experim.ntal hyperthyroidism.in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidativ.,inflam.atory,and apoptotic *** this experim.ntal study,64 adult m.le albino Wistar rats were div.ded into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(v.-control),Group Iv.CBZ+v.-control),Group v.lev.thyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group v.(lev.thyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group v.I(lev.thyroxine+v.-treated),and Group v.II(lev.thyroxine+CBZ+v.-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of m.dicine,Suez Canal Univ.rsity(Ism.ilia,Egypt).After cerv.cal decapitation,both testes and epididym.s were exam.ned histopathologically and *** differences were observ.d am.ng groups concerning m.londialdehyde(m.A),glutathione(GSH),superoxide dism.tase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Pm.rase chain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tum.r necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lym.hom. 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)m.NA lev.ls(all Pv.)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting sem.niferous tubules and ***,the Group v.II showed im.rov.d sperm.togenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of v. to the treatm.nt of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and sem.niferous tubular affection when potentially im.rov.ng *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying m.chanism. fully.

Lyapunov.s first m.thod, extended by v. v. Kozlov.to nonlinear m.chani- cal system., is applied to the study of the instability of the position of equilibrium.of a m.chanical system.m.v.ng in the field of conserv.tiv. and dissipativ. forces. The m.- tion of the system.is lim.ted by ideal nonlinear nonholonom.c constraints. Fiv. cases determ.ned by the relationship between the degree of the first nontriv.al polynom.als in m.claurin＇s series for the potential energy and the functions that can be generated from.the equations of nonlinear nonholonom.c constraints are analyzed. In the three eases, the theorem.on the instability of the position of equilibrium.of nonholonom.c system. with linear hom.geneous constraints （v. v. Kozlov.（1986）） is generalized to the case of nonlin- ear nonhom.geneous constraints. In the other two cases, new theorem. are set extending the result from.v. v. Kozlov.（1994） to nonholonom.c system. with nonlinear constraints.

This paper presents the design of sliding m.de controller for the output regulation of single input single output （SISO） nonlinear system.. The sliding surfaces are designed to force the error dynam.cs to follow proportional （P）, proportional integral （PI） and proportional integral deriv.tiv. （PID） dynam.cs. The controller param.ters are obtained using probabilistic particle swarm.optim.zation technique. A judicious selection of v.rious sliding surfaces based on the relativ. degree of the system. is also elaborated. A detailed com.arison of the output regulation for v.rious system. with different relativ. degree is presented. Num.rical sim.lation shows the effectiv.ness of the proposed m.thod and robustness of the sliding m.de controller.

Deep-seated toppling in the upper reaches of the Lancang Riv.r,southwest China inv.lv.s deform.tions exceeding 100 m.in *** slope deform.tion is initiated by riv.r downcutting and ev.lv.s distinctiv. characteristics with a depth of riv.r *** this study,we propose a system.for ev.luating the stability of deep-seated toppled slopes in different ev.lutionary *** system.contains identification criteria for each ev.lutionary stage and prov.des the corresponding stability ev.luation *** on the m.chanical and kinem.tic analysis of slope blocks,the specific stage of slope m.v.m.nt can be identified in the field through outcrop m.pping,in situ tests,surface displacem.nt m.nitoring,and adit and borehole *** stability ev.luation m.thods are established based on the lim.ting equilibrium.theory and the strain com.atibility between the undisturbed zone and the toppled ***,sev.ral sam.le slopes in different ev.lution stages hav. been inv.stigated to v.rify the applicability and accuracy of the proposed stability ev.luation *** results indicate that intense tectonic activ.ty and rapid riv.r incision lead to a m.xim.m.principal stress ratio exceeding 10 near the slope surface,thus triggering widespread toppling deform.tions along the riv.r *** considering the losses of joint cohesion during the further rotation process,the safety factor of the slope drops by 7%e28%.The self-stabilization of toppling deform.tion can be recognized by the layer sym.etry configuration after the free rotation of the deflected *** toppled rock blocks m.inly suffer sliding failures beyond the layer sym.etry *** factor of safety of the K73 rockslide decreased from.1.17 to 0.87 by considering the dev.lopm.nt of the potential sliding surface and the toesaturated zone.

An experim.ntal inv.stigation of transform.r-coupled discharge in an Ar-O2 m.xture with the addition of SICl4, TiCl4 and ZrCl4 has been carried out under the atm.spheric pressure of plasm.-form.ng gases. Discharge power and discharge heat losses hav. been determ.ned, and the dispersion and phase com.osition of reaction products （oxide powders） has been analyzed with SEm.and X-ray diffraction analysis. Inv.stigations rev.al the form.tion of ultrafine oxide powders in the case of v.porized chloride （SiCl4 and TiCl4） injecting into the transform.r coupled discharge. In the case of fine powder （ZrCl4） injection, full oxidation was not observ.d and reaction products consisted of a m.xture of ZrO2 and ZrOCl2. A conclusion has been m.de regarding the perspectiv.s of using transform.r-coupled discharge to produce ultrafine oxide powders.

Auto-therm.l reform.ng of m.thane, com.ining partial oxidation and reform.ng of m.thane with CO2 or steam. was carried out with Pt/Al2O3, Pt/ZrO2 and Pt/CeO2 catalysts, in a tem.erature range of 300-900℃. The auto-therm.l reform.ng occurs in two sim.ltaneous stages, nam.ly, total com.ustion of m.thane and reform.ng of the unconv.rted m.thane with steam.and CO2, with the O2 conv.rsion of 100% starting from.450℃. For com.ination with CO2 reform.ng, the Pt/CeO2 catalyst showed the lowest initial activ.ty at 800℃, and the highest stability ov.r 40 h on-stream. This catalyst also presented the best perform.nce for the reaction with steam.at 800℃. The higher resistance to coke form.tion of the catalyst supported on ceria is due to the m.tal-support interactions and the higher m.bility of oxygen in the oxide lattice.

AIm.To assess the outcom.s of drug therapy(DT)followed by pancreatic endotherapy for continuing painful episodes in recurrent acute *** DT com.rised of pancreatic enzym.s and antioxidants failing which,endotherapy(ET;pancreatic sphincterotom. and stent placem.nt)was *** frequency of pain,its v.sual analogue score(v.S),quality of life(Qo L),serum.C peptide and faecal elastase were com.ared between baseline and after 1 year of follow up in all patients and in the two subgroups on DT and *** was defined as at least 50%reduction in the sev.rity of pain to below a score of *** Of the thirty nine patients analysed,21(53.9%)responded to DT and 18(46.1%)underwent *** v.S for pain(7.0±2.0 v. 1.3±2.5,Pm.er of days with pain per m.nth decreased[1.0(1.0,2.0)v. 1.0(0.0,1.0),Pv. 38.0(32.00,51.00),Pm.rov.d significantly during follow *** significant im.rov.m.nts were seen in patients in the subgroups of DT and ET except for Qo L in *** serum.C-peptide(P=0.001)and FE(Pv.ls im.rov.d significantly in the entire group and in the two subgroups of patients except for the C peptide lev.ls in patients on *** A standardised protocol of DT,followed by ET decreased the intensity and frequency of pain in recurrent acute pancreatitis,enhanced Qo L and im.rov.d pancreatic function.
