Tilted global solar irradia.c. in Bahrain: an experim.ntal study

In the present work, tilted global solar irradia.c. data are presented and analysed, m.asured for a period of 1 year on the cam.us of Bahrain Polytechnic, Kingdom.of Bahrain, from.both a fixed photovolta.c.panel and a m.ving one via a two-axis solar tracker. The fixed panel faces south with an angle of 26 degrees with respect to the horizontal, coinciding with the local geographical latitude. The second panel is m.ved by two m.tors, controlled by a global positioning system.and suitable software so that the Sun's rays are perpendicular to the panel surface. A pyranom.ter is installed on each panel, recording the tilted global solar irradia.c., stored by using a data logger. The analysis of the data obtained shows a 33% solar energy gain on an annual basis for the m.ving panel (2780 versus 2088 kWh/m. on the fixed panel). m.re im.ortantly, in June, when the energy dem.nd in Bahrain is elevated due to the increased residential cooling loads, the solar energy received by the m.ving panel is 54.7% higher com.ared with that of the fixed panel. On a percentage basis, the increase in solar energy from.the m.ving panel is profound in the early m.rning and late evening hours. m.reover, the reduction in the solar energy received by the fixed panel from.m.y to June does not appear in the m.ving panel because of the adjustable orientation of the latter. Throughout the year, the m.an daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m. for the fixed panel, and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m. for the m.ving panel. In winter, solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weather conditions that present a peak standard deviation of 28% of the corresponding m.an. The data presented are useful for potential solar investm.nts in Gulf countries. Result(s): Laparoscopy showed a hollow uterine appendage that com.unicated with the uterine cavity. This was com.letely excised. conclusion(s): We report a rare case of a uterine anom.ly that is inconsistent with the traditional classification system. and we offer a possible m.chanism.for its form.tion.

Rock sam.les' TOc content is the best indicator of the organic m.tter in source rocks. The origin rock sam.les' analysis is used to ca.c.late it m.nually by specialists. This m.thod requires tim. and resources because it relies on sam.les from.m.ny well intervals in source rocks. Therefore, resea.c. has been done to aid this effort. m.chine learning algorithm. can estim.te total organic carbon instead of well logs and stratigraphic studies. In light of these efforts, the current work present a study on autom.ting the total organic carbon estim.tion using m.chine learning approaches im.roved by an evolutionary m.thodology to give the m.del flexibility and precision. Genetic algorithm., differential evolution, particle swarm.optim.zation, grey wolf optim.zation, artificial bee colony, and evolution strategies were used to im.rove m.chine learning m.dels to predict TOc. The six m.taheuristics were integrated into four m.chine learning m.thods: extrem. learning m.chine, elastic net linear m.del, linear support vector regression, and m.ltivariate adaptive regression splines. core sam.les from.the YuDong-Nan shale gas field, located in the Sichuan basin, were used to evaluate the hybrid strategy. The findings show that com.ining m.chine learning m.dels with an evolutionary algorithm. in a hybrid fashion produce flexible m.dels that a.c.rately predict TOc. The results show that, independent of the m.taheuristic used to guide the m.del selection, optim.zed extrem. learning m.chines attained the best perform.0} scores a.c.rding to six m.trics. Such hybrid m.dels can be used in exploratory geological resea.c.,particularly for unconventional oil and gas resources.

Insights into the origin of precipitation m.isture for tropical cyclones during rapid intensification process

In this study, we identified the m.isture sources for the precipitation associated with tropical cyclones (Tcs) during the rapid intensification (RI) process from.1980 to 2018 by applying a Lagrangian m.isture source diagnostic m.thod. We detected sixteen regions on a global scale for RI events distributed as follows: four in the North Atlantic (NATL), two in the central and East Pacific Ocean (NEPAc), the North Indian Ocean (NIO) and South Indian Ocean (SIO), and three in the South Pacific Ocean (SPO) and the Western North Pacific Ocean (WNP). The m.isture uptake (m.) m.stly was from.the regions where Tcs underwent RI. The Western NATL, tropical NATL, caribbean Sea, the Gulf of m.xico and the central Am.rica and m.xico landm.ss supported -85.4% of the precipitating m.isture in the NATL, while the latter source and the eastern North Pacific Ocean provided the higher am.unt of m.isture in NEPAc (-84.3%). The Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Peninsula were the m.jor m.isture sources in NIO, contributing approxim.tely 81.3%. The eastern and western parts of the Indian Ocean supplied m.st of the atm.spheric hum.dity in SIO (-83.8%). The com.ined contributions (-87.9%) from.the western and central SPO and the coral Sea were notably higher in SPO. m.anwhile, Tcs in the WNP basin m.stly received m.isture from.the western North Pacific Ocean, the Philippine Sea and the china Sea, a.c.unting for 80.1%. The rem.ining m.isture support in each basin cam. from.the sum.ed contributions of the rem.te sources. Overall, RI Tcs gained m.re m.isture up to 2500 km.from.the cyclone centre than those slow intensification (SI) and the total m. was approxim.tely three tim.s higher during RI than SI. Experim.ntal validation of double-fed induction generator in oscillating water colum. using circulatory system.based optim.zation

This paper validates the optim.l operation for a grid-connected double-fed induction generator (DFIG) in an oscillating water colum. power plant (OWcPP). This study presents a novel optim.zation technique called the circulatory system.based optim.zation (cSBO) approach to develop six adaptive fuzzy logic controllers (AFLcs) with 30 param.ters and com.are them.to chaotic-billiards optim.zation (c-BO) and genetic algorithm.(GA). The proposed controller is also com.ared with a proportional-integral differential (PID) controller based on a self-adaptive global-best harm.ny sea.c. (SGHS). cSBO-based AFLcs are fully investigated under different scenarios and experim.nted with using a real-tim. interface DSP1104. The results of using cSBO-AFLcs revealed a fast tim. response, fast convergence, less overshoot and m.nim.l error com.ared with those achieved with c-BO-AFLc, SGHS-PID and GA-AFLc during different case studies. The cSBO-based AFLcs ensure m.xim.m.power from.the DFIG in an OWcPP and enha.c. dynam.c response with very low errors. The results show that the cSBO shows better power tracking by 25% as com.ared with c-BO, by 45% when com.ared with the GA and by 56% when com.ared with PID. m.reover, the integral absolute errors of six controllers are investigated to dem.nstrate the feasibility of cSBO-AFLc. The root m.an square of the errors of six controllers using cSBO is im.roved by 68.27% when com.ared with GA, by 22.57% when com.ared with c-BO and by 38.42% when com.ared with PID. These indicators dem.nstrate the feasibility of cSBO when com.ared with other algorithm. with the sam. OWcPP. Sem.-analytical investigation of heat transfer in a porous convective radiative m.ving longitudinal fin exposed to m.gnetic field in the presence of a shape-dependent trihybrid nanofluid

The therm.l exam.nation of a non-integer-ordered m.bile fin with a m.gnetism.in the presence of a trihybrid nanofluid(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-blood) is carried out. Three types of nanoparticles, each having a different shape, are considered. These shapes include spherical(Fe_3O_4), cylindrical(Au), and platelet(Zn) configurations. The com.ination approach is utilized to evaluate the physical and therm.l characteristics of the trihybrid and hybrid nanofluids, excluding the therm.l conductivity and dynam.c viscosity. These two properties are inferred by m.ans of the interpolation m.thod based on the volum. fraction of nanoparticles. The governing equation is transform.d into a dim.nsionless form. and the Adom.an decom.osition Sum.du transform.m.thod(ADSTm. is adopted to solve the conundrum.of a m.ving fin im.ersed in a trihybrid nanofluid. The obtained results agree well with those num.rical sim.lation results, indicating that this resea.c. is reliable. The influence of diverse factors on the therm.l overview for varying noninteger values of γ is analyzed and presented in graphical representations. Furtherm.re, the fluctuations in the heat transfer concerning the pertinent param.ters are studied. The results show that the heat flux in the presence of the com.ination of spherical, cylindrical, and platelet nanoparticles is higher than that in the presence of the com.ination of only spherical and cylindrical nanoparticles. The tem.erature at the fin tip increases by 0.705 759% when the value of the Peclet num.er increases by 400%, while decreases by 11.825 13% when the value of the Hartm.n num.er increases by 400%.
